Trainers with multiple runners in any one race were questioned in relation to their intended tactics.
RACE 1 – TABTOUCH NOW WITH SCAN MY BET PACE (2242MS)
SUB MARINER (K Harper) - Dipped and raced roughly when leaving the back straight on the first occasion.
SWEET DUNCAN (G Hall Jnr) - Commenced to give ground over the concluding stages of the event to be beaten 47 metres.
General: Stewards interviewed Drivers K Harper (SUB MARINER) and T Wheeler (SKIPPIN CLASS) into the reasons that SUB MARINER dipped and raced roughly when leaving the back straight on the first occasion. Mr Harper stated that it was his intention to obtain cover behind SKIPPIN CLASS and as that runner look to establish the lead of the event, he was momentarily placed in restricted racing room and in the process of easing, the gelding dipped and raced roughly for a stride. Based on the evidence provided and upon review of the official patrol footage, Mr Wheeler was reprimanded under the provisions of HR163(1)(a)(i) for causing crossing. Stewards advised Mr Wheeler to afford more room to runners when shifting ground in future, or further action will be taken against his reinspersons licence.
RACE 2 – TABTOUCH SUPPORTS NARROGIN RACING (DIV.1) PACE (1823MS)
SHES A LUCKY PENNY (M Miller) - Commenced to give ground over the concluding stages of the event to be beaten 44 metres. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities.
MINNENOOKA (T Byrant) - Inclined to hang outwards throughout the event. Driver T Bryant stated that the stable will undertake significant gear changes in an endeavour to improve the gelding's tractability. A warning was placed against the gelding's racing manners.
EUSTON FLYER (C Lewis) - Inconvenienced racing in the front straight on the first occasion.
RACE 3 – THE MARTY SHEARGOLD SHOW PACE (2242MS)
DISCO DYNAMO (G. Hall Jnr) - Driver G Hall Jnr was fined $50 under the provisions of HR162(1)(i) for failing to come up into position by the time the candy pole was reached. Commenced to give ground in the vicinity of the 400m to be beaten 36 metres. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the gelding to have returned with intermittent arrhythmia. Based on veterinary advice, Stewards advised Trainer S Wall that the gelding will be stood down from racing until such time as a Veterinary Certificate of soundness can be provided.
CLASSNSMART (J Suvaljko) - Broke gait in the score up causing a false start. Will be placed outside the draw in future mobile barrier events. Driver J Suvaljko was reprimanded under the provisions of HR156(2)(a) for using the whip in more than a flicking motion.
RACE 4 – GREAT SOUTHERN WASTE CASH FOR CANS PACE (1823MS)
IM ROCKIN ROD (A Cortopassi) - Commenced to give ground in the vicinity of the 400m to be beaten 28 metres.
RACE 5 – THE WASBA TRIBUTE TO COLOR GLO 4YO+ WESTBRED MARES FEATURE PACE (2242MS)
EILEENMAY (T Lynn) - Commenced to give ground in the vicinity of the 400m to be beaten 65 metres.
HAVING FUN (C Lewis) - Over-raced through the early and middle stages of the event. Had the nearside sulky wheel contacted by IMAHERO (M Miller) when racing in the back straight on the final occasion.
IMAHERO (M Miller) - Driver M Miller was fined $100 under the provisions of HR168(1)(a) for careless driving for making contact with the nearside sulky wheel of HAVING FUN (C Lewis) when racing in the back straight on the final occasion. Subsequently was retired from the event.
MISS STEFANI (L Steer) - Forced to race wider racing out of the front straight on the final occasion.
THE WAND WAVER (S Suvaljko) - Broke gait in the score up and was subsequently out of position as the start was effected. A warning was placed against the mares starting manners.
WATCH ME WAVE (E Suvaljko) - Inconvenienced when racing in the back straight on the final occasion.
MONTEGO (K Harper) - Inconvenienced when racing in the back straight on the final occasion.
RACE 6 – NGN EARTHMOVING & CONCRETE PACE (2662MS)
HES A COOL MACH (T Lynn) - Hung outwards racing into the back straight on the first occasion. Commenced to give ground in the vicinity of the 400m to beaten 25 metres.
FLAMMING CULLEN (C Lewis) - Over-raced through the early stages of the event.
HIGHLY FLAMMABLE (T Byrant) - Inconvenienced racing out of the back straight on the final occasion.
RACE 7 – GET BACK TO THE TRACK ENJOY THE ACTION (DIV.2) PACE (1823MS)
ANYLOVEISGOODLOVE (S McDonald) - Held up for clear running for the entirety of the home straight.
SHADRACH (H Charles) - Commenced to give ground in the vicinity of the 600m to be beaten 73 metres. A warning was placed against the geldings racing performance.
IWILLNEVERKNOW (D. Harper) - Commenced to give ground in the vicinity of the 400m to be beaten 49 metres.
RACE 8 – WINTER WARMERS PACE (2242MS)
INEEDA DRINK (T Lynn) - Trainer B Lynn sort and was granted permission for the gelding to race bare behind. This information was disseminated.
GRACES STAR (T Wheeler) - Broke gait racing out of the back straight on the final occasion. Will be stood down from racing for a period of 13 days and until such time as the completion of 2 satisfactory re-qualifying trial.
