Mr Herbertson stated that in the home straight he did not test his runner to the line given its tractability issues when hanging out but overall, he was pleased with the gelding’s efforts. Mr Herbertson added that this was the geldings first run back since April and would likely improve with modification to its shoeing. On review the issues identified by Mr Herbertson was confirmed and his tactics and driving over the final stages was accepted in the circumstances.
