RACE 1 – APG YEARLING SALES VICBRED SUPER SERIES (3YO FILLIES (1ST HEAT) (2240 MS)
The start of this race was delayed due to Kempsey gallops Race 8 running significantly behind schedule and was then broadcast on Sky 2.
BRINGSUSJOY- pre race samples taken. Held up nearing the finish.
CARRY ON CORNISH- contacted marker pegs at the top of the home straight when giving ground. Driver Craig Demmler was cautioned for allowing his drive to shift in and contact marker pegs.
LETS GO LORNA- post race samples taken.
BRIGHTON- underwent pre and post race veterinary checks due to not having raced since November 2024- no abnormalities apparent.
RACE 2 – APG YEARLING SALES VICBRED SUPER SERIES (3YO COLTS & GELDINGS)(1ST HEAT) (2240 MS)
HITCH TO HIS STAR- underwent a pre race veterinary examination and was passed fit to race.
MIKI SING- pre race samples taken.
ARTIST- driver Anthony Butt was fined $100 pursuant to AHRR 162(1)(j) for failing to maintain his position on the mobile barrier after the candy pole. As a consequenc GIVE FRED A CLAP which was drawn the second line was out of position at the start.
POSTERIZED- driver Kate Gath was cautioned for failing to have her drive in position at the start.
SAO PAOLO SIMBA- post race samples taken.
GIVE FRED A CLAP- hung in and contacted a marker peg on the home turn whilst tiring.
RACE 3 – APG YEARLING SALES VICBRED SUPER SERIES (3YO COLTS & GELDINGS)(3YO COLTS & GELDINGS((2ND HEAT) (2240 MS)
The start of this race was delayed due to Albury gallops Race 8 running behind schedule.
CALEXICO- post race samples taken.
THE POSTMASTER- pre race samples taken. Tired to be beaten 112 metres. Stewards queried driver Mark Pitt regarding the performance, with Mr Pitt explaining that the colt had travelled well at the rear of the field and after angling three wide near the 550 metres his drive had initially progressed forwards quickly, however after a 100 metres or so then tired markedly. A post race veterinary examination inclusive of endoscopy indicated Grade 2 EIPH. Given the nature of the performance the colt was stood down from racing pending the completion of a satisfactory trial.
RACE 4 – APG YEARLING SALES VICBRED SUPER SERIES (3YO FILLIES (2nd HEAT) (2240 MS)
JOYRIDE- competed pursuant to HRV Elevated TCO2 Policy. Pre race samples taken.
RAKAROMPA NZ- underwent a pre race veterinary examination after being cast in her stall and was passed fit to race. Pulled hard whilst racing outside the leader before tiring to be beaten 132 metres. A post race veterinary examination inclusive of endoscopy indicated no apparent abnormalities. Given the beaten margin the filly was stood down from racing pending the completion of a satisfactory trial.
COOKIE DOUGH- broke free of interference racing towards the first turn- placed on her last chance to race truly. Tired to be beaten 157 metres and underwent a post race veterinary examination inclusive of endoscopy which indicated no apparent abnormalities. The filly was stood down from racing pending the completion of a satisfactory trial.
SEA SALT- inconvenienced racing towards the first turn.
SOHO AMERICANO- post race samples taken.
RACE 5 - APG YEARLING SALES VICBRED SUPER SERIES (3YO COLTS & GELDINGS)(3YO COLTS & GELDINGS((3rd HEAT) (2240 MS)
LEWIELEWIS- lost her off hind shoe in running.
VINEY- pre race samples taken.
SOHO THE REAL DEAL- pulled hard after surrendering the lead, then lost her nearside lugging pole near the 200 metres.
ROCKNMETRO- hung in during the score up and out of position at the start, then hung out after the start- placed on his last chance in the mobile barrier draw. Pulled hard and hung in during the run- warning issued.
RACE 6 – APG YEARLING SALES VICBRED SUPER SERIES (3YO FILLIES (3rd HEAT) (2240 MS)
ALWAYS A SHOWGIRL- inconvenienced near the 1100 metres when trailing the pulling BREAK MY ART.
HARLEY LANE- held up around the home turn.
BEACH DIAMOND- driver Ryan Sanderson was fined $100 for failing to have his drive in position at the start. Post race samples taken.
IDEAL MOTH- pre race samples taken. After working around the field to lead the filly then tired from the 400 metres.
IMA TIGGY TIGER- tired to be beaten 84 metres- warning issued.
RACE 7– APG YEARLING SALES VICBRED SUPER SERIES (3YO COLTS & GELDINGS)(3YO COLTS & GELDINGS((4th HEAT) (2240 MS)
OLLIES THE BOSS- tightened racing into the first turn. Pulled hard in running before using the sprint lane. Underwent a post race veterinary examination due to being engaged to race the following night- no abnormalities apparent.
TURBO JAY- tightened racing into the first turn. Driver Mark Buckingham was cautioned for careless driving for allowing his drive to race up onto the back of the preceding runner turning into the back straight the first time.
STARTIN TO GOGH- driver Michael Stanley was cautioned for tightening runners to his inside racing into the first turn.
WHENIMREADY- pulled hard in running before tiring from the 900 metres to be beaten 114 metres and underwent a post race veterinary examination inclusive of endoscopy with no abnormalities apparent.
ZENARIO- post race samples taken.
RACE 8 – 2CONSTRUCT TROT (1720 MS)
ALLWATFUNJINGLES- slow out from the start.
LARAS DREAM- hung in racing towards the first turn and contacted the sulky of TE AMO, LARAS DREAM then brokeas a consequence and the gelding was placed on his last chance to race truly.
TELLA SHES DREAMIN- driver Paul Morrisey was fined $100 pursuant to AHRR 156(3) for exceeding the permitted number of whip uses over the final 200 metres.
