Trainers with multiple horses engaged in any given race were questioned as to the intended driving tactics to be adopted

 

 

RACE 1 – TAB WE’RE ON PREAU CHEVALIER FREE FOR ALL (2240 MS)

SEW WHAT– Pulled hard in the score up.

SERG BLANCO NZ– Held up over the concluding stages.

TREACHERY– Raced three wide in the early stages. Held up making the turn into the home straight.

SOHO HISTOTIA– Trainer Clayton Tonkin was fined $50 under AHRR 210 for the late declaration of driver. Raced three wide in the early stages and held up over the concluding stages.

YAMBUKIAN– Pulled hard in the score up. Raced wide in the early and middle stages.

MACH DAN- Held up making the turn into the home straight.

HELLUVA NZ– Held up and unable to secure clear running in the home straight.

RAKERO REBEL NZ– Withdrawn on Veterinary advice at 3.10pm and will now be stood down for a period of 28 Days.

 

 

RACE 2 – BENSTUD STANDARDBREDS PACE (1720 MS)

RADIUS- Slow to begin.

TERRY NZ– Trainer Andy Gath was cautioned for failing to advise the tactics for his multiple runners. Raced wide in the early stages. Inconvenienced in the home straight.

FINAL COLLECT NZ– Raced three wide in the early and middle stages.

FIAMMA– Held up making the turn into the home straight. Shifted out in the home straight and Driver Mark Pitt was cautioned for shifting ground.

 

RACE 3 – DYNAMIC PRINT GROUP PACE (2240 MS)

DUKES CHOICE– Inconvenienced near the 300m

THE BEACH FANTASY NZ– Raced three wide in the early stages. Held up making the turn into the home straight.

NO WIN NO WORRIES– Pulled hard in running.

ANGUS INDIANA– Raced wide in the early stages.

HOT DEAL– Raced wide in the middle stages.

JACCKA CONNOR NZ– Inconvenienced and held up making the turn into the home straight.

RACE 4 – GARRADS HORSE & HOUND PACE (1720 MS)

VEE EM GEE MACRAY– Raced three wide in the middle stages.

MAJOR MANBAR– Pulled hard in running. Held up and had difficulty obtaining clear running in the home straight. When questioned regarding the hard Driver James Herbertson stated that the gelding pulled hard in running and as such, he was conscious that the gelding may have to work hard having to make a run wide in the final lap which may takes its toll. As such he elected to come to the inside however unfortunately had difficulty obtaining clear running.

HITTHEROADJACK NZ– Raced three wide in the early stages.

HEAVENLY CHARM– Held up and had difficulty obtaining clear running in the home straight.

CLASSIC MISSION NZ– Pulled hard in running and held up making the turn into the home straight.

COURAGEOUS SAINT– Broke gait in the score up and was placed on its last chance in the draw.

DHAULAGIRI NZ– Pulled hard in running and held up making the turn into the home straight.

 

RACE 5 – LOGICAL STAFFING SOLUTIONS PACE (1720 MS)

HUGO MAGUIRE NZ– Hung in and held up making the turn into the home straight.

BIG BOY MAL– Pulled hard in the score up.

LAYDEN– Driver Jackie Barker was cautioned for being out of position in the score up. Held up over the concluding stages.

LE BELLE BIJOUX– Trainer Kari Males was cautioned for failing to provide the tactics of her multiple runners in the race. Raced three wide in the early stages.

CLEAR LEFT NZ– Pulled hard in running. Held up and had difficulty obtaining clear running in the home straight.

YAPPAS COURAGE- Held up and had difficulty obtaining clear running in the home straight.

 

RACE 6 – ALDEBARAN PARK TROTTERS FREE FOR ALL (1720 MS)

MUFASA METRO NZ – Raced three wide in the early stages.

 

RACE 7 – RENOWN SILVERWARE TROT (2240 MS)

HEPHAESTUS PHOENIX– Broke under pressure in the home straight and galloped across the finishing line After reviewing the video footage which showed it was covered by HATCHBACK, pursuant to the Victorian local rule Rule155(A) HEPHAESTUS PHOENIX was relegated to 8th placing with HATCHBACK, moving to 7th placing.

HATCHBACK– Raced roughly after the start and placed on its last chance in the draw. Raced wide in the early stages. As a result of covering HEPHAESTUS PHOENIX TIME which broke gait and galloped across the finish, HATCHBACK, pursuant to the Victorian local rule Rule155(A) was promoted to 7th placing. A post-race veterinary examination revealed an eye infection, and the gelding will now be stood down from racing pending a satisfactory veterinary clearance.

 

RACE 8 – PRYDES EASIFEED TROT (2240 MS)

KEAYANG XENA– Gave ground in the final lap. When questioned Driver Lochie Cook stated that the mare had raced well in a forward position and after obtaining the lead elected to hold it when challenged. Whilst having to work to withstand the challenge he was able to ease the pace and get a breather with the mare travelling well in running. However, in the final lap when the runner to his outside boke gait the mare had seemed to lose focus and commence to give ground. Whilst acknowledging that he had down some early work he still felt the mare had underperformed and disappointed. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no obvious abnormalities.

COUNTESS CHIRON– Inconvenienced in the final lap.

EL RESAMO- Inconvenienced in the final lap.

SER PATRICK- Inconvenienced in the final lap and sulky contacted.

WATTS UP PARTYTIME– Broke gait in the final lap and a warning issued.

MEADOW VALLEY STAR– Pulled hard in running. Contacted sulky, checked, and broke in the final lap.
