STEWARDS REPORT FOR MILDURA

Trainers with multiple horses engaged in any given race were questioned as to the intended driving tactics to be adopted

 

GENERAL– Samples were taken from several licensed persons during the race meeting.

RACE 1 EUSTON CLUB PACE (2190 MS)

COULDNT RECOMMEND – Tired from the 500m and beaten 107m. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no obvious abnormalities. The mare will now be stood down from racing until the completion of one satisfactory trial.

BEEJAYS STAR – Raced three wide in the early stages. Shifted out under pressure in the home straight and a warning issued.

LOVE TO DEAL – Commenced to give ground over the final 250m.

ARENDELLE – Out of position in the score up and will now be placed outside the draw at its future mobile starts. Held up making the turn into the home straight.

MY LINE OF FIRE – Inconvenienced near the 500m when COULDN’T RECOMMEND commenced to tire.

TACT TORY NZ – Hung in under pressure.

THISWAYTOTHEBEACH - Out of position in the score up and will now be placed outside the draw at its future mobile starts.

RACE 2 - VERDE @ THE GATEWAY PACE FINAL (2190 MS)

TACT FERGIE NZ – Pulled hard in running. Hung in and contacted marker pegs. Shifted out under pressure and a warning issued. Driver Michelle Phillips reported the gelding had a tendency to hang in and hang out throughout the race and proved difficult to steer over the concluding stages.

DAYSIE BROWN – Broke in the score up and a warning issued. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no obvious abnormalities. Driver/Trainer Shane Smith reported he was disappointed in the performance of DAYSIE BROWN and would monitor the recovery of the mare and report back to stewards if anything with the mare comes about over the next days.

SPORTY PHILTRA – Hung inwards in the score up.

SOCIAL WRITER – Held up making the turn into the home straight.

OUR ART CHRISTIAN NZ – Out of position in the score up. No action taken. Raced three wide in the early stages.

RACE 3 – MCDONALDS IRYMPLE & MILDURA PACE (2190 MS)

ZION FRANCO – Raced roughly in the score up. Gave ground, beaten 50m and a warning issued.

PUMPT NZ – Broke gait near the 1900m. Trailed the field before being retired out of the race. Thegelding will now be stood down from racing until the completion of one satisfactory trial.

SUNSHINE WARRIOR – Raced roughly in the score up. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no obvious abnormalities.

EGBERT - Gave ground, beaten 50m and a warning issued.

MAGGACIS – Broke gait shortly after the start and will now be placed outside the draw at its future mobile starts.

ROBERT CROCKA – Pulled hard in running.

SHIREEN - Out of position in the score up and will now be placed outside the draw at its future mobile starts. Raced three wide in the middle stages. Raced roughly entering the home straight.

GOT THE GOODS - Due to having competed in more than 200 lifetime races and in accordance with HRV policy was examined by the veterinarian before and after the race which revealed no apparent abnormalities. Gave ground from the 500m in the final lap.

AUCKLAND LASS - Out of position in the score up and will now continue to be placed outside the draw at its future mobile starts.

RACE 4 – MILDURA BOWLS CARNIVAL APRIL 29TH – MAY 5TH MAIDEN PACE (1790 MS)

IM YOUR VENUS – Hung in and raced roughly near the 400m. Tired, beaten 60m and a warning issued.

HELLOVAJOLT - Out of position after breaking in the score up and will now be placed outside the draw at its future mobile starts.

ILLTELLYOUSUMTHING – Driver Tayla French reported she was disappointed in the performance of ILLTELLYOUSUMTHING and the stable would monitor the recovery of the gelding and report back to stewards if anything with the gelding comes about over the next days. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no obvious abnormalities.

DARK SANDS – Withdrawn at 4.27pm on Veterinary advice and will now be stood down for 28 days.

TWO TOES BENNY – Hung in under pressure.

RACE 5 – ZILZIE WINES PACE (1790 MS)

BELIEVE IN FOREVER – Gave ground in the final lap. Driver Jack Laugher reported tonight’s track conditions may have contributed to the poor performance. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no obvious abnormalities.

ORBIE – Held up making the turn into the home straight and was again held up in the concluding stages.

WILSHIRE BOULEVARD – Held up making the turn into the home straight.

MY ULTIMATE BILLY NZ – Raced three wide in the middle stages.

MODERN GINGER – Raced roughly in the score up and pulled hard in running. Raced three wide in the middle stages.

RACE 6 – PARK DOUGLAS PRINTING PACE (2190 MS)

SPORTING RAGE – Pulled hard in running. Held up making the turn into the home straight and was unable to secure clear running in the home straight.

JUST BURNFORU – Gave ground in the final lap.

LAVINIA – Raced three wide in the early stages.

NIFTY STUDLEIGH - Due to having competed in more than 200 lifetime races and in accordance with HRV policy was examined by the veterinarian before and after the race which revealed no apparent abnormalities. Hung inwards in the score up. Hung in and raced roughly in the final lap.

UNITED – Raced three wide in the middle stages. Tired, beaten 55m. Driver Luke Watson was disappointed with the run of UNITED as was coming back in grade to a easier race. The stable would monitor the recovery of the UNITED and report back to stewards if anything with the UNITED comes about over the next days.

RACE 7 – MERBEIN CLUB PACE (1790 MS)

ALLSOPP – Pulled hard in the score up. Suffered a gear failed when the off side spreader broke leaving the 1000m. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no obvious abnormalities.

YOURSNMINE - A pre-race veterinary examination revealed no obvious abnormalities and clear the gelding to start.

HEART OF COOPER - Withdrawn at 12.54pm on Veterinary advice and will now be stood down for 28 days.

BRUISED EGO – Raced three wide in the early stages.

SINISTER - Raced three wide in the early stages. Pulled hard in running.

RACE 8 – TASCO PETROLEUM PACE (1790 MS)

BETTERTHAN A KISS – Tired, beaten 62m and no action taken.

GODSGIFT – Tired beaten 108m. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no obvious abnormalities. Driver Ben Xiriha was unable explain the poor performance of GODSGIFT. The stable would monitor the recovery of the mare and report back to stewards if anything with the mare comes about over the next days.

MISS BALLYMENA NZ – Raced three wide in the early stages.

WILLIEBILLIE - Raced three wide in the early stages. Tired, beaten 61m and no action taken.

THESUNANDTHEMOON – Raced three wide in the middle stages. Hung inwards in the final lap and contacted marker pegs.

RIVERGUM COUNTESS - Out of position after breaking in the score up and will now be placed outside the draw at its future mobile starts.

RACE 9 – THERMAL HOT SPOT PACE (1ST HEAT) (1790 MS)

FORTITUDO - Due to having competed in more than 200 lifetime races and in accordance with HRV policy was examined by the veterinarian before and after the race which revealed no apparent abnormalities. Held up and unable to secure clear running.

IMPETUOSO – Withdrawn with permission of the Stewards 11.37am and will now be stood down for 6 days.

LESTER – Pulled hard throughout in running. Held up making the turn into the home straight.

TERROROAN – Raced three wide in the middle stages.

THE TOOTH FAIRY – Held up making the turn into the home straight and was unable to secure clear running in the home straight.

LILBITAHENRYTEE – Pulled hard in the score up.

RACE 10 – THERMAL HOT SPOT PACE (2ND  HEAT) (1790 MS)

MUSTANG MAX – Shifted out under pressure in the home straight.

STONEBRIDGE STAR -Due to having competed in more than 200 lifetime races and in accordance with HRV policy was examined by the veterinarian before and after the race which revealed no apparent abnormalities. Raced roughly approaching the 200m.

HARRY MCKINNIS – Failed to circle prior to the score up and a warning issued. Hung inwards after the start and raced three wide in the early stages.

OUTA CONTROL – Raced four wide in the early stages.

UNETHICAL – Held up making the turn into the home straight.

RACE 11 COLLIE & TIERNEY REAL ESTATE PACE (1790 MS)

MACH HU NZ – Gave ground in the final lap.

PIRATESOF ZANZIBAR – Inconvenienced after the start and broke gait, no action taken. Thereafter trailed the field.

MIDNIGHT PIRATE – Hung inwards after the start and a warning issued.

SIR VINCENT – Raced three wide in the early stages and gave ground in the final lap.

EASTBRO JESSE – Raced three wide in the early stages.
