STEWARDS REPORT FOR MARYBOROUGH

Trainers with multiple horses engaged in any given race were questioned as to the intended driving tactics to be adopted. 

 

RACE 1 – NEWSXPRESS MARYBOROUGH MAIDEN TROT (2190 MS)

GREAT HORIZON – Hung in and contacted marker pegs at the 1200m.  Gave ground from the 400m to be beaten 44m into 5th placing.

DRESSEDUPINTHECITY– Hung in and contacted marker pegs at the 1200m.  Tired to be beaten 55m into 6th placing, no action taken.

SKY LINDY– Broke in the score up and placed on last chance in mobile draw.  Pulled hard outside the lead.

MAJESTIC PARTY BOY– Broke after the start and trailed the field.  The gelding will now be placed outside of the draw in future mobile start events.

ALABAMA MAY– Checked by Majestic Party Boy after the start and broke gait.

RACE 2 –VICTORIAN SQUARE TROTTERS ASSOCIATION VALE DICK LEE 2YO MAIDEN TROT(1690 MS)

Race start time amended to 1.50pm.

TENASEA WHISKEY– Utilised sprint lane in the home straight.

TRIXIE– Contacted marker pegs on the final turn prior to utilising sprint lane.  Broke under pressure in the home straight.

FARROKH – Driver Chris Lang pleaded guilty to a charge under AHR Rule 165(1)(b) with the particulars that on the first turn Mr.Lang allowed his drive to move towards the inside running line when not the required distance clear of The Italian Dream resulting in that filly being checked and breaking gait.  After considering HRV Minimum Penalty Guidelines, Mr.Lang had his licence to drive in races suspended for a period of 10 days to commence at midnight 2 November 2024.

THE ITALIAN DREAM– Checked and broke on the first turn.  Broke gait when clear of interference at the 700m.

KISS AT MIDNIGHT– Checked and broke on the first turn.  Broke gait when clear of interference on the final turn.

KYVALLEY JOYRIDE NZ– Broke gait on the first turn.

FRIKSHYN– Broke in the score up and out of position at the start.  The gelding trailed the field and will now be placed outside of the draw in future mobile start events.  Broke gait when clear of interference at the 1200m.

BOOT LEGGING- Broke in the score up and out of position at the start.  The gelding will continue to be placed outside of the draw in future mobile start events.  Checked and broke at the 1200m.

TIARA GAIL– Checked on the first turn.

RACE 3 – ALDEBARAN PARK GOLD BRACELET (2190 MS)

NO TELLING HEATHER – Utilised the sprint lane in the home straight.

THIRD EYE– Broke in the score up and out of position at the start.  The filly trailed the field and will be placed outside of the draw in future mobile start events.

LINK IN BIO– Utilised sprint lane in the home straight.

KEAYANG GYPSY– Sulky contacted by Daley Waters at the 1000m.

DALEY WATERS– Pulled hard and contacted sulky of Keayang Gypsy at the 1000m.

RACE 4 – MARYBOROUGH DISTRICT ADVERTISER NMW TROT (1690 MS)

PRETTYBOY HARRY – Broke gait on the first turn.  Broke under pressure over the concluding stages, warning issued.

IM BOBBY– Held up for clear running in home straight (100m-50m)

GEE CEE CALDER– Utilised sprint lane in home straight.

RACE 5 – COMMUNITY BANK MARYBOROUGH GOLD TROTTERS CUP (GROUP 3) (2690 MS)

HARRY STAMPER NZ – Broke gait when clear of interference at the 700m, warning issued.

ARCEE PHOENIX– Pulled hard outside the leader.

QUEEN ELIDA NZ– Broke in the score up and out of position at the start.  The mare trailed the field and will now be placed outside of the draw in future mobile start events.

NEPHEW OF SONOKO– Checked at the 700m.

PARISIAN ARTISTE– Held up for clear running on the final turn prior to utilising the sprint lane.

ALDEBARAN VERA– Checked and broke gait at the 700m.

RACE 6 – E L TITAN @ HARAS DES TROTTEURS VICTORIA TROTTERS DERBY FINAL (GROUP 1) (2690 MS)

PINNIE – Utilised sprint lane in home straight.

VIOLET STANFORD – Began badly and will now be placed outside of the draw in future mobile start events.

ALL THAT REMAINS– Began badly will now be placed outside of the draw in future mobile start events.

JILLIBY BALLERINI – Broke under pressure in the home straight.

KEAYANG ZAHARA– Driver Jason Lee fined $200 under AHR Rule 162(1)(h) for failing to come into position at the start.

REMUS PHOENIX– Contacted sulky of Violet Stanford after the start and checked and broke, trailing the field.

KYVALLEY MICHAEL NZ- Driver Chris Alford fined $200 under AHR Rule 162(1)(h) for failing to come into position at the start.  Checked after the start.

LOCKSLEY CAVALIER– Broke gait when clear of interference at the 250m.

ARGYLE ROCKS– Checked and broke after the start.

RACE 7 – MAJESTIC SON @ ALABAR FARMS MATCHMAKER MILE MARES TROT (1609 MS)

CONSTANT – Broke gait on the first turn and trailed the field.

EVERYBODYLOVESME – Driver Alex Ashwood failed to appear in the racebook.

PERFIDIOUS SUE– Hung in on the final turn.

PICKET WIRE– Broke in the score up and out of position at the start.  The mare trailed the field and will now be placed outside of the draw in future mobile start events.

DICHOTOMY– Broke gait when clear of interference on the final turn.  Promoted to 7th position in accordance with VLR 155A (1) after covering Kyvalley Amanda which reached the finish line in the incorrect gait.

RAPID RETURN- Broke gait when clear of interference on the final turn.

KYVALLEY AMANDA- Broke in the score up and out of position at the start.  The mare will now be placed outside of the draw in future mobile start events.  Broke under pressure in the home straight.  In accordance with VLR 155A (1), the mare was relegated to 8th position after reaching the finished line in the incorrect gait and being covered by Dichotomy.

RACE 8 – ALDEBARAN PARK REDWOOD CLASSIC (GROUP 1) (2190 SS)

General – Start delayed by 8 minutes after Gatesys Gem required the farrier at the start.

VYTIS – Utilised sprint lane in home straight.

COMMODUS – Driver James Herbertson replaced Chris Alford (dual engaged).

PROHIBITED GRACE – Began badly and will not by placed outside of the draw in future stand start events.  Underwent a post-race veterinary examination which revealed no abnormality.

I AM HELLBOUND– Tired to be beaten 75m into 8th position, warning issued.

KEAYANG KURKI – Fractious before the start.  Broke after the start and trailed the field.  Will now be placed outside of the draw in future stand start events.

MYSTERY FRED – Trainer Peter Manning fined $50 for failing to advise Stewards of the driving tactics to be adopted on the stable runners. 

GATESYS GEM – Hung in under pressure over the concluding stages.

NIPOTINA – Broke gait when clear of interference approaching the 1800m and trailed the field.

SHES SKY HIGH– Driver Glen Craven replaced James Herbertson (dual engaged).  Broke gait when clear of interference at the 1400m.

RACE 9 – MCARDLE CONTRACTING PTY LTD TROT (2190 MS)

EL RESAMO – Broke in score up and caused false start.  The gelding will now be placed outside of the draw in future mobile start events.  Shifted out under pressure in the home straight, warning issued.

ALDEBARAN BOYD– Utilised sprint lane in home straight.

STAR DOWN UNDER– Pulled hard middle stages.

I AM PEGASUS– Broke gait when clear of interference approaching the 500m.

PRINCE OF ROCK– Broke gait when clear of interference at the 1500m and has now been stood down from racing until the completion of one satisfactory trial.

KEAYANG GUCCI – Broke gait twice when clear of interference (1900m, 250m), placed on last chance to race truly.

ALDEBARAN MILEY– Fractious before start and will continue to be placed outside of the draw in future mobile start.
