Trainers with multiple runners in any one race provided Stewards with their intentions prior to the event.

RACE 1 – LADBROKES QUICK MULTI PACE– 1780MS

CRIME BOSS – Tired over the concluding stages to eventually be beaten 40.0 metres, a warning was issued.

GOLD IN PARIS – Had difficulty finding a clear run between the 400 metres and 200 metres, however, utilised the sprint lane when it became available and was fully tested in the final straight.

SEA HUNTER – Tired over the concluding stages to eventually be beaten 41.0 meters, a warning was issued.

FAMOUS LABEL – Had difficulty finding a clear run between the 400 metres and 200 metres, however, when clear fully tested in the final straight.

RACE 2 – THE PRODUCE STORE PACE – 2190MS

Prior to the all-clear driver D. Dury (ALWAYS STEAMED UP) placed 2nd, advised Stewards that he wished to lodge a protest against the winner COLOSSAL HOPE (M. Craven), alleging that he was checked and lost momentum near the 300 metres, when COLOSSAL HOPE moved wider on the track when racing on his inside. After taking evidence from both drivers and viewing all race replays, Stewards could not be comfortably satisfied that had it not been for the interference, ALWAYS STEAMED UP would have beaten home COLOSSAL HOPE and dismissed the protest, then gave the all clear on the Judges numbers 8,6,5,4,7.

SKYLINE ANGEL – Gave ground from the 600 metres to eventually be beaten 38.0 metres. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no apparent abnormalities; a warning was issued.

THE IRISHMAN NZ – Gave ground from the 500 metres to eventually be beaten 92.0 metres, Stewards deemed the performance to be unsatisfactory and stood the gelding down until the completion of one satisfactory requalifying trial.

RACE 3 – CHRIS & BILL DRURY PACE – 1780MS

BETTER SAINT – Broke gait as the start was effected, will be drawn wide for future mobile start events. Gave ground from the 500 metres to eventually be beaten 55.0 metres, placed on its last chance to race truly.

VISTA SIERRA – Hung in and was out of position at the score up, a warning was issued. Broke gait free of interference near the 900 metres. Due to its recent racing performances, Stewards deemed the performance unsatisfactory the mare was stood down until the completion of one satisfactory re-qualifying trial.

RACE 4 – BOB & ZITA MALONEY PACE – 2190MS

URBADBOY – Contacted the sulky wheel of SEA FLYER then raced roughly, near the 200 metres. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the gelding had sustained an offside front tendon injury and would be stood down until a veterinary clearance is provided.

BAYSIDE VICTORY – Showed gate speed lead the event, however driver L. Cook elected to take a trail on the back of GRINNING BEACH BOY near the 2000 meters. Tired over the concluding stages to eventually be beaten 45.0 metres, a warning was issued

SEA FLYER – Forced three wide as the field raced through the first turn, then restrained to a position in the running line. The sulky wheel of SEA FLYER was contacted by URBADBOY near the 200 metres.

SHE WILL WANTANO – Hung in and contacted marker peg near the 1000 metres, a warning was issued.

YANKEE BOOT FLAT - Had difficulty finding a clear run between the 400 metres and 200 metres, however, when clear was fully tested in the final straight.

RACE 5 – TREVOR & DENISE DENT TROTTERS MOBILE – 2190MS

ALLWART BOB – Showed gate speed to lead the event, however driver R. Baker elected to take a trail on the back of ALDERBARAN ANTON near the 1600 meters. Hung in and contacted marker peg near the 200 metres, a warning was issued.

ALDERBARAN ANTON - Showed gate speed, worked forward to the lead near the 1600 metres, however, driver J. Barker elected to take a trail on the back of COCONUT MICKEY near the 1200 metres.

BILLY BAGGINS – Gave ground from the 700 metres to eventually to be beaten 200.0 metres. A post-race veterinary examination revealed bi-lateral nose bleed, in accordance with Rule 101(3)(a) the gelding was stood down for 3 months, a veterinary clearance and one satisfactory requalifying trial.

RACE 6 – ROSE'S LAUNDRETTE PACE – 1780MS

IM MOLLY MALONE – Broke gait free of interference as the field raced towards the first turn, placed on its last chance to race truly. Hung in and contacted marker pegs near the 700 metres, a warning was issued.

EASTBRO ZARA – Inconvenienced when IM MOLLY MALONE broke gait in advance of him, near the 700 metres.

LOUISE LUCK – Broke gait in the very early stages of the score up but returned to its correct gait and was in position well before despatch. At the request of connections, LOUISE LUCK was placed back in the draw for mobile start events.

DARK AND HANDSOME - Inconvenienced when IM MOLLY MALONE broke gait in advance of him, near the 700 metres.

RACE 7 – DARREN GUTHRIDGE PACE - 1780MS

LOST ME MARBLES – Broke gait in the score up and was out of position at dispatch, will be drawn wide for future mobile start events.

EASTBROK - Broke gait in the score up and was out of position at dispatch, will be drawn wide for future mobile start events.

KUNG FU ART - Showed gate speed to lead the event, however driver M. Phillips elected to take a trail on the back of FAMISHED near the 1500 meters. Had difficulty finding a clear run between the 400 metres and 200 metres, however, when clear was fully tested in the final straight.

METRO BLISS – Was out of position when the start was effected, a warning was issued.

General

An inquiry into two racing incidents that appeared to occur in Race 4, involving drivers A. Clarke (URBADBOY) and M. Phillips (SEA FLYER) was adjourned by the Stewards as A. Clarke was advised to take URBADBOY off course for veterinary treatment and was unable to attend the inquiry.
