Trainers with multiple runners in any one race provided stewards with their intentions prior to the event.
RACE 1 TROY BELL MP PACE – 1780MS
A false start was declared at the first attempt due to a gear malfunction on SUNSHINEFROMHEAVEN, at the commencement of the score up.
STARZINHEREYES – Drive L. Dunne was advised to refrain from looking back for a prolonged period, as the horses crossed the finish line, as it is not in the best interests of the industry for a driver to show his frustrations in such a manner.
BURNING HOT – Tired over the concluding stages to be beaten 55.0 metres.
MIKI STEAMED HOME – Stewards questioned driver D. Drury regarding the tactics he adopted, in particular the quick time of 27.9 for the second quarter, when racing outside the leader (STARZINHEREYES). D. Drury stated that it was his intention to try and find a trail early, however, circumstances did not allow him to do so, consequently he allowed his runner to work forward, at which point MIKI STEAMED HOME commenced to race a little fiercely so he elected not to restrain too severely, as that would impact the performance of the gelding, he went on to say that MIKI STEAMED HOME was still competitive but had the gelding settled in the run, he would have been happy to run a slower second quarter, which may have resulted in a closer finishing position. Stewards noted his explanation.
RACE 2 SOUTH WEST FREIGHT TROTTERS MOBILE – 2190MS

MOONSHINE PENNY – Broke gait free of interference near the 500 metres, a warning was issued.
RACE 3 LADBROKES COMMUNITIES PACE – 2190MS
