RACE 1 – HRNSW 2YO TROTTERS FOUNDATION HEAT 5 – 2300 metres

DREAMBIGAIMHIGH – Passing the 300 metres was inclined to lay in and contacted marker pegs.

IM A GYPSY QUEEN– Pre race blood samples were obtained.

BURKHARDT NZ– Approaching the 1900 metres became unbalanced and broke gait. BURKHARDT NZ then resumed its correct gait and passing the 1300 metres became unbalanced and broke gait. Connections were advised that BURKHARDT NZ will be placed on its last chance to race truly.

UPTOWN LAD- Pre race blood samples were obtained. Broke gait in the latter stages of the first score up and subsequently shifted out which caused ONE PINEVALE HILL to be hampered. A false start was declared. Connections were advised that UPTOWN LAD will now be excluded from the mobile barrier draw. Post race swab samples were obtained.

ONE PINEVALE HILL– Slow to begin.

WALKABOUT COCOLOCO– Passing the 1800 metres became unbalanced and broke gait. WALKABOUT COCOLOCO then regained its correct gait and near the 700 metres became unbalanced and broke gait on a second occasion. Connections were advised that WALKABOUT COCOLOCO would be placed on its last chance to race truly.

 

RACE 2 – WOODLANDS STUD – WE SELL WINNERS TROTTERS MOBILE – 1609 metres

FLORENCITA – Over raced during the score up and broke gait at the start. In view of its recent record connections were advised that FLORENCITA will now be excluded from the mobile barrier draw. Leaving the 400 metres when racing keenly on the back of AGENT MAORI.FLORENCITA shifted out and became unbalanced and broke gait. In view of its recent record connections were advised that FLORENCITA would be stood down until it can complete one satisfactory official trial.

LINDYS LOVE- Pre race blood samples were obtained. Post race swab samples were obtained.

CRITICAL ADVANTAGE- Pre race blood samples were obtained.

AGENT MAORI– Underwent a pre and post race veterinary examination as per HRNSW Animal Welfare Guidelines were detected. No abnormalities were detected.

 

RACE 3 – VALE BILL HANSELL TROTTERS MOBILE – 1609 metres

DANCE SECRET– Post race swab samples were obtained.

ARAIGNEE FLAIR - Pre race blood samples were obtained.

ROYAL GLENFERRIE- Pre race blood samples were obtained.

 

RACE 4 – PRYDE’S EASIFEED PACE – 1609 metres

APHRODITE - Pre race blood samples were obtained. Post race swab samples were obtained.

JUST TOOTSIE- Underwent a pre and post race veterinary examination as per HRNSW Animal Welfare Guidelines were detected. No abnormalities were detected. Inside the final 50 metres when endeavouring to obtain a run to the inside of BARA RILEY,JUST TOOTSIE locked wheels with that runner approaching the finish.

BARA RILEY- Pre race blood samples were obtained. Approaching the finish momentarily locked wheels with JUST TOOTSIE when that runner improved to its inside.

HIGHVIEW SADLER NZ- Underwent a pre and post race veterinary examination as per HRNSW Animal Welfare Guidelines were detected. No abnormalities were detected.

R N R BEACH NZ– Was inclined to race roughly over the final 400 metres.

 

RACE 5 – D M PLUMBING PACE – 1609 metres

FLYING PEGASUS - Underwent a pre and post race veterinary examination as per HRNSW Animal Welfare Guidelines were detected. No abnormalities were detected.

STANDANDELIVER - Pre race blood samples were obtained. Hung out after the start.

CLEMENTSORRELL - Underwent a pre and post race veterinary examination as per HRNSW Animal Welfare Guidelines were detected. No abnormalities were detected. Pre race blood samples were obtained. Placed in restricted room at the start when STANDANDELIVER shifted ground. CLEMENTSORRELL was unable to secure clear running at any stage of the home straight and was not fully tested. Post race swab samples were obtained.

 

RACE 6 – ULTRA AIR PACE – 1609 metres

HIGLY RESPECTED – Pre race blood samples were obtained. Broke gait at the start. A warning was issued. It was noted at the completion of the event that the head check bit had come free from the mouth of JOGALONG COOP.

PARALLEL - Post race swab samples were obtained.

BLAZE EDITION– Shortly after the start, had to be checked away from JOGALONG COOP which broke gait. Raced three wide until passing the 500 metres. When questioned regarding the tactics employed on BLAZE EDITION driver O Frisby explained that trainer W Judd had instructed her to driver the gelding forward at the start in order to try and take up the position outside of the leader. Ms Frisby explained that after receiving a check from JOGALONG COOP she did not want to be caught behind that runner and improved three wide. She added that approaching the 1200 metres it appeared that KENNY SAID was going to shift from the running line to a position on the marker pegs however KATLAS DREAM improved quickly to the inside of KENNY SAID resulting in that runner then remaining in the running line. Subsequently BLAZE EDITION remained three wide from that point. Ms Frisby stated that the tempo was solid but she formed the view that if she was able to get close enough to ROCK SUPREME to issue a challenge that runner may relinquish the position outside of the leader. However BLAZE EDITION was unable to gather sufficient momentum to improve past the wheel of ROCK SUPREME passing the 1000 metres and therefore was forced to race wide for the remainder of the event. Trainer W Judd confirmed his instructions and added that BLAZE EDITION is one paced and in the circumstances of today’s event did not allow O Frisby to drive in accordance with the pre race plan. Stewards noted the explanation of both O Frisby and W Judd.

ALL STAR MAGICIAN– Shortly after the start became unbalanced and broke gait for a short distance. A warning was issued.

GOD BLESS YOU- Pre race blood samples were obtained. Passing the 1500 metres had to be steadied away from JOGALONG COOP which broke gait. GOD BLESS YOU had difficulty securing clear running in the early stages of the home straight and was unable to improve until passing the 75 metres.

 

RACE 7 – EVEKARE PACE – 1609 metres

MY ULTIMATE RONNIE - Pre race blood samples were obtained. Approaching the 250 metres MY ULTIMATE RONNIE hung out and shifted out slightly. Post race swab samples were obtained.

ORCHID STRIDE– Passing the 250 metres had to be steadied away from MY ULTIMATE RONNIE which shifted out.

HEAVEN ISLAND- A post race veterinary examination of HEAVEN ISLAND which had some blood in its mouth revealed the mare had bitten her tongue. In adopting the veterinary recommendation no action was taken.

LOUI– Near the 250 metres had to be steadied away from ORCHID STRIDE which was taken out by MY ULITMATE RONNIE.

CEE FOR COLIN- Pre race blood samples were obtained.

 

RACE 8 – ALLIED EXPRESS TAXI TRUCK SERVICES PACE – 1609 metres

BERTIE JONES NZ- Pre race blood samples were obtained.

LOUIS LITT NZ- Pre race blood samples were obtained. Shifted out when placed under pressure over the final 300 metres. Driver J Bigeni was issued with a reprimand under rule 168(1)(a) for failing to make sufficient effort to prevent LOUIS LITT NZ from shifting ground. Post race swab samples were obtained.

 

SUPPLEMENTARY REPORT – MENANGLE SATURDAY 4^TH JUNE 2022 – Race 1

Today (7^th June 2022) Trainer Jack Trainor furnishedpost-race blood results from CHEVRON ART and B K SWY NZ. The report revealed that both CHEVRON ART and B K SWY NZ had elevated white cell counts indicative of both horses potentially incubating viruses. J Trainor explained that he would treat both CHEVRON ART and B K SWY NZ and give them a brief break prior to their next starts.
