RACE 1  –  2024 AUSTRALIAN FEMALE DRIVERS CHAMPIONSHIP HEAT 1  –  2200m  Mobile

TALK IS CHEAP – Driven forward from the start, securing the position behind the leader where it tended to over-race and pull hard.

SCARLET PLACE– Worked forward from the start securing a forward trailing position. Eased wide passing the 900 and was quickly under pressure, tiring badly to be beaten in excess of 180 metres. A post-race Veterinary Inspection confirmed SCARLET PLACE had bled from both nostrils. Subsequently, Stewards acting under the provisions of AHR Rule 101 stood SCARLET PLACE down for a period of three(3) months. Further, at the completion of this embargo, the following must occur: a Veterinary Certificate attesting that the mare is fit to resume racing, followed by satisfactorily completing a trial, before SCARLET PLACE will be eligible to be nominated to race.

RACE 2  –   2024 AUSTRALIAN FEMALE DRIVERS CHAMPIONSHIP HEAT 2  –  2200m  Mobile

NANCESTIGER – Redrawn to start from the outside of the front line as the gelding had been placed out of the draw at its most recent race start, however will now be reinstated in the barrier draw for races conducted under mobile start conditions after satisfying reinclusion requirements. Inconvenienced when RACKETEERS BOY NZ gave ground.

STEPPING STONES– Inconvenienced when RACKETEERS BOY NZ gave ground.

RACKETEERS BOY NZ– Under pressure from the 1100 after its off-side sulky tyre deflated approaching the 1200. Based on RACKETEERS BOY NZ’s individual time the flat tyre and the fact once beaten driver T Ford eased the gelding down over the final stages, Stewards took no action other than to note the circumstances.

General: Due to the quick time recorded in the event (track record), the beaten margins of some runners will read poorly, however the individual times of these horses are well within those required in assessing performances.

RACE 3  –   2024 AUSTRALIAN FEMALE DRIVERS CHAMPIONSHIP HEAT 3  –  2200m  Mobile

COLBY SANZ – Completed the event with a flat off-side sulky tyre.

HIGHWAY TO HEAVEN NZ– Will continue to be excluded from the barrier draw after breaking gait mid score-up, which resulted in the gelding being back from its allotted position at the start.

RACE 4  –   2024 AUSTRALIAN FEMALE DRIVERS CHAMPIONSHIP HEAT 4  –  2200m  Mobile

ART HUNTSMAN – Gave ground over the concluding stages, beaten in excess of 130 metres. A subsequent Veterinary examination found no obvious abnormalities, but did confirm the gelding had cast on off-fore shoe during the run. As the individual time was well within the required racing standard, Stewards took no action other than to note the circumstances.

RACE 5  –   2024 AUSTRALIAN FEMALE DRIVERS CHAMPIONSHIP HEAT 5  –  2200m  Mobile

DIDYALOUSAROOSTER– Broke gait free of interference late on the final turn for which a warning was issued. Stewards in assessing the incident took into consideration DIDYALOUSAROOSTER’s race record and driver D Roberts’ lack of knowledge of the racing characteristics of the gelding.

YARECKON IM SWEET– Will be reinstated in the barrier draw for races conducted under mobile start conditions after satisfying reinclusion requirements.

TWO SOCK CREEK NZ– Will be reinstated in the barrier draw for races conducted under mobile start conditions after satisfying reinclusion requirements.

RACE 6  –   2024 AUSTRALIAN FEMALE DRIVERS CHAMPIONSHIP HEAT 6  –  2200m  Mobile

SCRUB BASHER– Tended to over-race and pull hard.

VELOCITY STRIDE– Tended to over-race and pull hard.

General: Driver T Ford was reminded of her obligations regarding the manner she uses her whip, particularly the continuous manner it was applied.

RACE 7  –  LADBROKES OWN SPRING PACE  –  2200m  Mobile

PISTOL QUEEN– Under pressure approaching the 400 where it began to give ground. Shifted in near the 300, contacting a marker which momentarily unbalanced driver T Ford resulting in her dropping her left leg. The circumstances were noted.

MAJOR IDEAL– Inconvenienced as a result of PISTOL QUEEN giving ground.

OBLER– Inconvenienced as a result of PISTOL QUEEN giving ground.
