Supplementary: Horses dually engaged on Friday 15th March in Hobart and gained a start on Sunday 17th March in Launceston were prerace veterinarian examined and passed fit to take their places in the fields.

RACE 1  –  JANE ELLEN HEAT ONE –  2200m - MOBILE START

PETALI BEACH- Showed gate speed to lead the event. Utilized the sprint lane over the home straight. Tired over the final 500m to be beaten in excess of 100m.The filly will be required to trial to the satisfactory of stewards on 1 occasion prior to next race start. A post race veterinarian examination revealed no obvious abnormalities.

LAFOND- Showed gate speed early. Had a tendence to lay outwards shortly after the start. Left a trailing position racing into the back straight after receiving the bell to race outside the leader.

CEE TEE CHELSEA- Showed gate speed and tended to hang inwards after the start. Caught wide early, then was restrained to the rear of the field. Tended to lay inwards despite the driver’s efforts over the final stages.

SABALENKA LIES- Restrained after the start to the rear. Raced greenly at various stages throughout the event.

RACE 2  –  JANE ELLEN HEAT 2 –  2200m - MOBILE START

GLENVIEW ALOPE- Driver dropped his foot out of the sulky rest at the 400m, Driver advised that the footrest became loose which resulted in him dropping his foot momentarily. This was examined and found to be faulty. No action taken.  Held up for a clear run in the early stages of the home straight.

NANCYS HOPE- Showed gate speed to lead the event.

MACARIA- Showed gate speed. Gave ground over the concluding stages.

CENTURIAN MISS- Gate speed to the position outside the leader. left a trailing position in the middle stages of the event to lead and gained a trail shortly thereafter.

MISS BARTY- Out of position at the start and was placed on its last chance in the draw. Tired over the final stages to be beaten by 63.3 meters. Trainer advised it must trial to the satisfaction of stewards on 1 occasion prior to its next race start. Stewards took into account its previous record.

INDELIBLE- Showed gate speed and raced three wide to lead the event off the back straight to receive the bell.

INDIANNA SANZ- Restrained at the start. Tired over the final stages and was placed on its last chance to race competitively.

RACE 3  –  LADBROKE IT ! PACE –  2200m   -MOBILE START

JO AN JO- Showed gate speed to lead the event.

MODERN POWER- Showed gate speed to gain the position outside the leader before obtaining a trail in the middle stages of the event. Tired over the concluding stages and given its previous record will be placed on its last chance to race competitively.

IM ROCK SOLID- Caught wide early.

FLEETWOOD ROCK- After showing gate speed, progressed forward 3 wide to gain the position outside the leader.

KARALA STAR NZ- Raced three wide over the final stages of the event.

JACKSON NEPTUNE- Pulled hard in the score up.

WE SALUTE YOU- Hung inwards and contacted a sulky. Trainer reprimanded for presenting the horse with incorrect gear.

MAJOR LESTER- Raced three wide late in a trailing position.

CULLENBURN NZ- Suffered some interference at the 400m as a horse raced roughly in front. Trainer reprimanded for presenting the horse with incorrect gear.

AHA REACTION NZ- Pulled hard in the score up and throughout the event.

AGOUDA RULER- Prerace veterinarian inspection revealed no abnormalities. Failed to fully come up into position at the start. Warning issued. Inconvenienced during the run.

RACE 4  –  SINBAD BAY HEAT TWO –  2200m - MOBILE START

MAXI JOLT- Raced roughly in the score up. Showed gate speed to lead the event. Commenced to give ground over the final 400m and was placed on its last chance to race competitively. Trainer reprimanded for presenting the gelding with a shadow roll when it was not approved to wear.

NORBET- After showing gait speed obtained a position outside the leader.

NEON- Showed gate speed to gain the position outside the leader, then progressed forward to lead the event.

SOKYS LINE- Was caught wide early before restraining to the rear.

BALDASARRE- Caught wide early before restraining.

JUST TIGER- Raced three wide in the middle and late stages.

OUR SHAKALAKA- Gave ground over the concluding stages.

ROCK AMOUR- Out of position at the start and will continue to remain out of the draw. Restrained at the start.

FAMILY REASONS- Caught racing wide and restrained to a rearward position.

IDEN KAMAKAZI- Galloped out and will remain to be excluded right out from the draw. Trailed the field throughout.

RACE 5  –  LADBROKES HUB STAKES –  1680m - MOBILE START

LIL RIPPER- Showed gate speed to gain a position behind the leader on the pegs.

STEPPING STONE- After showing gate speed gained the position 1 out 1 back.

KIVIK- Showed gate speed to lead the event.

RACKETEERS BOY NZ- Hung inwards during the score up. Showed gait speed to gain the position outside the leader. Trainer questioned regarding the performance of the gelding. Trainer fined for the presentation of unapproved gear.

JEREMY WELLS NZ- Caught wide early and restrained to the rear. Tended to pull hard in the run.

LYNRYD SKYNRYD NZ- Held up for a clear run in the early part of the home straight.

General: Stewards Questioned trainer Troy Hillier into the improved performance of RACKETEERS BOY NZ. Trainer Troy Hillier explained that he was expecting a forward showing as the gelding has trialled extremely well leading into this event and was not disappointed with his previous race starts like it showed on its previous form. Stewards after considering the trainers evidence and viewing its previous starts were satisfied with his explanation regarding the performance. Stewards noted the explanation for future reference.

 

RACE 6 – BE AT THE EASTER CUP SATURDAY 30th  MARCH PACE –  2200m MOBILE START

A GOOD RED- Showed gate speed and commenced to give ground over the concluding stages.

FIESTA SRIDE- Showed gate speed to lead the event. Had its sulky contacted during the running of the event.

HORRIE OTARA- Gained the position one out one back.

MUCHO MOVER- Showed gait speed before gaining the position outside the leader. Hung inwards and contacted a sulky.

WINDY HANOVER- Slightly out of position at the start.

ROYAL APPOINTMENT- Restrained at the start.

YARECKON IM SWEET- Slightly out of position at the start. Restrained at the start.

RACE 7  –  LAUNCESTON DISCRETIONARY- –  2200M [START]

MISS PAPENHUYZEN- Delayed the start as it suffered gear failure. Galloped away and will be excluded from the draw in standing starts.

THE SHALLOWS- Found the lead early and handed up this position in the early stages. Held up for a clear run in the early stages of the front straight.

COURAGEOUS SAINT- Delayed the start. Galloped out and will be excluded from future standing start events. Trailed the field throughout.

JAMES CAGNEY NZ– Raced roughly after the start and began slowly. Held up for a clear run in the early stages of the home straight.

COLBY SANZ- Gained the position outside the leader.

ROCKANDAHARDPLACE- Lead the event.

DIAMONDS N CASH NZ– Broke a lugging pole during the running of the event.

VILLACCI- Raced three wide over the late stages of the event. Gave ground over the concluding stages. Post-race veterinarian examination revealed no obvious abnormalities. Was placed on its last chance to race competitively.

STAR MAJOR- Obtained the one out one back position early. Raced three wide over the late stages.

RACE 8  –  EASTER CUP RACE MEETING SATURDAY 30TH MARCH PACE –  2200m  - MOBILE START

HERES HENRY- Showed gate speed and gained the position behind the leader. Held up for a clear run in the early stages of the event.

BOTANY BAY WARRIOR- Showed gate speed to lead the event. Pulled hard during the event.

MR KIWI NZ– Pre-race veterinarian examination revealed no abnormalities. No clear run over the concluding stages.

MISTER FINNIGAN- After showing gate speed obtained the position outside the leader.

LOYOLA TRIOS- Slow out and restrained.

NO NUKES SKIPPER NZ– Pre-race veterinarian examination revealed no obvious abnormalities.

EQUITY STRIDE– Pre-race veterinarian examination revealed no obvious abnormalities.

ENDEAVOUR STRIDE– Pre-race veterinarian examination revealed no obvious abnormalities.

BEAST MODE– Pre-race veterinarian examination revealed no obvious abnormalities.

HEZ RAZOR SHARP– Pre-race veterinarian examination revealed no obvious abnormalities.

RACE 9-  FAMILY FUN NIGHT SATURDAY 30TH MARCH STAKES – 1680m – MOBILE START

LALIBELA NZ- Slow to muster speed.

VELOCITY STRIDE- Showed gate speed. Held up for a clear run in the early part of the straight.

VIGOROSO NZ- After showing gate speed, broke free of interference entering the back straight on the first occasion and trailed the field. Was placed on its last chance to race truly.

BLACKJACK JIM- Raced three wide in the late stages and inconvenience in the run.

CINOCAL JAMANE- Raced roughly in the score up. Showed gate speed to lead the event and surrendered the lead in the middle stages.

REMEMBER ME NOW NZ- Showed gate speed to gain the position outside the leader then progressed forward to lead the event.

TOP HANOVER- Raced outside the leader and gave ground over the concluding stages.

MACH ANGELO- Left a trailing position to race three wide late.

COVEFFE HUSTLER- Obtained an inside run in the home straight.
