Trainers with multiple runners in a race advised Stewards of intended tactics.

RACE 1 –   LADBROKES POPULAR SRM PACE – 1680M MS

SPORTY GRANT (M. Yole), which was out of position at start will be placed on it’s last chance in the draw.

A warning was placed on TASSIE DAZZLER (M. Ford) which galloped approaching the turn out of the backstraight after start.

HES FIRST CLASS (J. Duggan) held up for clear running over the concluding stages.

RACE 2 –LADBROKES BIG BETS TWO-YEAR-OLD – 1680M MS

YASTREMSKA LEIS (L. Older) raced greenly in the score up and was out of position at the start, as such will be excluded from the draw for mobile barrier start races. Stewards informed starter Mr. D. Bauld in similar circumstances he should not proceed with start as QUETZALLI (T. Rattray) was out of position because of the horse he was following at start.

IDEN MISS WORLD (M. Yole), which was out of position at start, will be excluded from the draw for mobile barrier start races.

TISU JACK HIGH (B. Davis) which galloped approaching turn off back straight after the start will be stood down until it completes a satisfactory trial due to offending at its previous race start.

A post-race veterinary examination of BEARLY IN DEBT (P. Williams) which was beaten 162 Metres revealed lameness near fore and abrasion to near hind. Stood down seven days on veterinary advice and veterinary clearance required.

RACE 3 – 6TY BANDBOX HEAT ONE – 2200M MS

 No racing incidents.

RACE 4 –LEES ORCHARD TASSIE GOLDEN APPLE HEAT ONE – 2200M SS

ANYTHING GOES (L. Older), which commenced poorly will be excluded from draw in standing start events.

A warning was placed on MAEBEE (G. Rattray) which commenced poorly.

TRIPLE VINNIES (T. Ford), which galloped free of interference near 500 Metres and severely checked ONE BIG SHEW (J. Duggan) and GLENLEDI ELVIS (J. Chibnall) stood down until completes a satisfactory trial.

Post-race veterinary examination of ONE BIG SHEW revealed severe laceration to off hind leg for it which was treated. A veterinary clearance required prior to being eligible to start.

Post- race examination of GLENLEDI ELVIS revealed no abnormalities.

RACE 5 –6TY BANDBOX HEAT TWO -- 2200M MS

A post-race veterinary examination of SMILING MIA (T. Ford) which was eased out of race with a lap to run revealed it had suffered an atrial fibrillation episode. Trainer Ray Pullen was advised filly stood down 14 days, an ECG examination required and then must complete a satisfactory trial. R 101C. (2) (a).

Stewards informed C. Salter (IDEN ELIZA JANE) which had raced without cover before giving ground and beaten 204 Metres not to reproduce filly until it can perform competitively.

RACE 6 –NUTRIEN AG SOLUTIONS GLOBE DERBY PRELUDE -- 2200M MS

A post- race veterinary examination of PREPARATION (T. Rattray) revealed a laceration to near side nostril. No treatment required.

RACE 7 –LEES ORCHARDS TASSIE GOLDEN APPLE HEAT TWO – 2200M SS

TOUGH SHAZ (T. Ford) which commenced poorly excluded from draw standing start races.

RAGING WHITEBAIT (J Laugher) commenced poorly and warning issued.

MADDIS TIGER (C Castles) checked at start by RAGING WHITEBAIT and took no competitive part.

TRIEDTOTELLYA (R. Hillier) lost shin boot in running.

RACE 8 – FIND US ON FACEBOOK AND INSTAGRAMSTAKES – 2200M MS

No racing incidents.

RACE 9 – VICTORY IMAGES PHOTOGRAPHY PACE – 2200M MS

Permission given for KENYA to race with no hind shoes as cast plate on route to course which was unable to be replaced.

Stewards questioned M. Ford (ARMA ROLLING STONE regarding tactics of leading and running first half last mile in 59.60 seconds before giving ground to be beaten 50 Metres. He stated pre-race Trainer’s instructions were to go forward however in his opinion now horse is up in class it cannot sustain running solid sectionals. Stewards accepted his explanation, and advised Ms. B. Miller, who oversaw gelding for the race future tactics must be reviewed and as such advise Stewards.

Post- race veterinary examination of ROCK AMOUR (R. Hillier) revealed soreness over back region and Trainer P. Carlson advised veterinary clearance required prior to being eligible to race.

 ALWAYS AURORA (J. Duggan) which gave ground over final 500 Metres found to have elevated heart rate and slow post-race recovery. Trainer to advise should anything arise further in next seven days.

RACE 10 – LADBROKES TOP 2/3/4 BETTING PACE – 2200M MS

A warning placed on CAPTAIN PINS (A. Ashwood) which hung outwards home straight final occasion and bumped sulky of NANCESTIGER (C. Castles).
