Underwent a post -race veterinary examination after it was reported that the gelding was showing signs of colic. The veterinarian surgeon confirmed colic on examination. Trainer advised that a veterinarian certificate will need to be supplied prior to its next race start.
Stewards questioned drivers Charlie Castles (OBLER), in the presence of claiming driver advocate Neville Webberley and Nathan Ford (SOHO UNDERTAKER) into the reasons why OBLER suffered interference making the home turn on the final occasion. After taking evidence from both drivers and comments from Mr. Webberley, Stewards acting on their own observations and viewing the official patrol films charged driver Nathan Ford under provisions of Rule 163 (1) (a) (iii). The particulars of the charge were that SOHO UNDERTAKER was shifted outwards by Mr. Ford to obtain a clear run entering the front straight on the final occasion resulting in contact to the hind legs of OBLER and as a result blundered. MAJOR DEAL, (Hannah Van dongen) and KEAYANG WOLFPACK, (Kyle Pratten) who were following were both inconvenienced and checked as a result of this incident.

KEAYANG KEVIN attempted to shifted back down and SWEET AMOUR was checked by driver Brodie Davis and broke gait as a result. Stewards in not issuing a charge against driver Nathan Ford considered the evidence of Brodie Davis that he was not placed in restricted racing room by Mr. Ford and took hold as a precaution and the mare broke gait.
