RACE 1 – HOLLINGWORTH CRANE HIRE SERVICE MAIDEN PACE – 1710 metres
COOP DE RED – Gave ground over the concluding stages to be beaten 66.2 metres
SWEET STRIKE - Pre-race blood sample. Post-race swab sample.
LOUMIA– A pre and post-race veterinary examination was conducted due to the horse having not competed in excess of 12 months. Both examinations failed to reveal any obvious abnormalities.
MICKEY BE NIMBLE– Raced roughly after the start and throughout the event for which a warning was issued.
FLY OVER STATES– Hung in rounding the final turn and contacted marker pegs.
CORTEZ – Caught wide early before being restrained to the rear of the field passing the 1200 metres.
ARMA THE GREAT – Caught wide early before being restrained to the rear of the field approaching the 1200 metres.
NEED FOR SPEED- A pre and post-race veterinary examination was conducted due to the horse having not competed in excess of 12 months. Both examinations failed to reveal any obvious abnormalities. Hung in passing the 600 metres before commencing to tire to be beaten 84.7 metres for which a warning was issued. In taking no further action Stewards took into consideration the overall mile rate of 1.55.0 and the winners margin of 16.3 metres.
RACE 2 – SUN SOLUTIONS HOME IMPROVEMENT TROTTERS MOBILE – 1710 metres
MIDNIGHT SECRET – Broke after the start for which a warning was issued.
LAIR OF THE EAGLE- Pre-race blood sample. Worked forward to the lead approaching the 1200 metres. Post-race swab sample.
SALLY EM– Caught wide early before being restrained to a position in the running line passing the 1350 metres.
TROT TO CHEVRON NZ– Broke after the start for which a warning was issued. Had a tendency to hang in throughout the event.
RACE 3 – BENSTUDSTANDARDBREDS NSW PACE – 1710 metres
WOODLEA BEAVER NZ - Pre-race blood sample.
JACKS UP– Leaving the 400 metres was tightened and locked wheels with SILENT REACTION.
KISSED BY A ROSE- Post-race swab sample.
SILENT REACTION– Over raced throughout the event. Hung in passing the 400 metres and locked wheels with JACKS UP.
BLACK ART NZ- Driver Owen Shea was questioned in relation to the tactics he adopted, after being restrained to rear of the field early he elected to commence to improve three wide passing the 1200 metres before working forward to a position outside the leader approaching the 950 metres. The gelding commenced to tire passing the 400 metres to be beaten 33 metres. Mr Shea explained he was afforded instructions from Trainer Mr Eldridge pre-race that if he was in a rearward position and the pace eased to make an effort to work forward on the gelding. Steawards noted the comments of Mr Shea and reminded him of his obligations to drive horse’s consistently to their racing pattern. A post-race veterinaryinspection found no obvious abnormalities. Passing the 300 metres was tightened when JACKS UP and SILENT REACTION locked wheels.
BETTOR BE LUCKY– A pre and post-race veterinary examination was conducted due to the horse having competed in excess of 200 race starts. Both examinations failed to reveal any obvious abnormalities.
RUM DELIGHT NZ- A pre and post-race veterinary examination was conducted due to the horse having competed in excess of 200 race starts. Both examinations failed to reveal any obvious abnormalities.
RACE 4 – GOULBURN HAY SUPPLIES PACE – 1710 metres
IMA SWEET TORQUE NZ – Held up for clear running and was not fully tested.
WAHAKA - Pre-race blood sample.
BONJORGE- Post-race swab sample.
LEAVEAMESSAGE - Trainer David Hewitt wasfined the sum of $50 under Rule 210 for failing to advise himself as the driver of the gelding by the prescribed time.
BELLRIVERGIRL– Inconvenienced passing the 400 metres until passing the 200 metres when held up behind DELIGHTFUL BELLA.
RACE 5 – RSM ACCOUNTANTS GOULBURN PACE – 1710 metres
ROCKETON – Hung in rounding the final turn and contacted maker pegs.
PRINCE LOUIE - Post-race swab sample.
DREAM TO DANCE- Pre-race blood sample.
JUST ROCKNROLL– Held up for clear running and was not fully tested.
RACE 6 – LUKE O’BRIEN ELECTRICAL PACE – 1710 metres
BOB SLOY – Trainer Kevin Pizzuto wasfined the sum of $50 under Rule 210 for failing to advise Robert Morris as the driver of the gelding by the prescribed time.
COLIN BROMAC NZ- Pre-race blood sample. Over raced throughout the event.
NIFTY RONALD– Broke in the score up and was out of position and will now be excluded from the mobile barrier draw. Approaching the first turn contacted the offside sulky wheel of MAJOR ALLEGIANCE.
SKY MARY MAC NZ – Caught wide early before being restrained to the rear of the field passing the 1200 metres.
MAJOR ALLEGIANCE– Approaching the first turn had the offside sulky tyre contacted by NIFTY RONALD when that runner was being eased down the track. Post-race swab sample.
RACE 7 – JUSTIN ALBURY COMMUNICATIONS HRNSW GUARANTEED LADYSHIP – 1710 metres
STELLINA – Commenced to improve three wide passing the 1200 metres before finding the position outside the leader at the 1000 metres.
ASCOT SHOWTIME - Pre-race blood sample.
SARA TA SLOY– Stable representative Lachlan Booth was questioned into the seemingly improved performance of the filly. Mr Booth explained the filly was having its first start for Peter Hanson and the stable had been happy with the filly leading into today’s event. Post-race swab sample.
YERING SOHO– Driver Harrison Ross was questioned into the below market expectations of the mare, after the mare was able to lead before giving ground over the concluding stages to be beaten 29.6 metres. Mr Ross felt the mare was disappointing and could offer no further explanation. A post-race veterinary inspection revealed YERING SOHO to lame in the offside foreleg and acting on veterinary advice, was stood down pending a veterinary clearance.
FAY IRENE– Caught wide early before working forward to the position outside the leader passing the 1200 metres. Over raced early until receiving cover passing the 1000 metres.
RACE 8 – THE TAB APP WARATAH HEAT – 1710 metres
WHEN TO FOLDEM – Tired over the concluding stages to be beaten 110.4 metres, in view of the overall performance of the gelding WHEN TO FOLDEM was stood down one re-qualifying trial. A post-race veterinaryinspection found no obvious abnormalities.
MY LADY SARAH – Tightened approaching the first turn when MIGHTY JOLT was shifting down the track. Driver James Locke was questioned into his driving tactics and the overall performance of the mare. After beginning fairly Mr Locke drove forward aggressively from the 1200 metre before finding the lead approaching the 950 metres and commenced to give ground from the 200 metres to be beaten 30.2 metres. Mr Locke explained the mare can over race and seems to be best when able to find the front, which is consistent with the mare’s last start when successful at Canberra. Mr Locke further explained he was disappointed in the overall performance of MY LADY SARAH. A post-race veterinaryinspection found no obvious abnormalities.

MIGHTY JOLT - Pre-race blood sample. Driver David Hewitt was reprimanded under Rule 163(1)(a)(iii) for causing interference, in that approaching the first turn he has shifted his gelding down the track when not sufficiently clear of MY LADY SARAH.
