RACE 1 – DOWNLOAD THE TAB APP TODAY PACE – 1758 metres

 

MILLWOOD GRACE– Post-race swab sampled.

ANGLE DEE JAY – Pre-race swab sampled. Held up for clear running for the majority of the home straight.

SCOTTIE MACH – Over-raced during the middle stages of the event.

SIR SONNY MAGUIRE NZ– Broke gait free of interference near the 600 metres, for which a warning was issued.

HES A TERROR – Held up for clear running for the majority of the home straight.

 

RACE 2 – LANHAMS JEWELLERS PACE – 1758 metres

 

CRACKER MISS– Pre-race swab sampled. Post-race swab sampled.

RAGING ON NZ– Stewards accepted the explanation tendered by Trainer N Diebert for the late declaration of Driver for the gelding.

ELLAVA PACER – Held up for clear running for the majority of the home straight.

JACKS LAST HOO RAA – Held up for clear running for the majority of the home straight.

CALL ME DRAGON– Driver J Painting was given the opportunity to comment on the below market expectations performance of the gelding, he stated that it travelled well and he shifted it out three wide to improve into the race leaving the 600 metres. He added that once they were three wide in clear running it dropped the bit and was inclined to race roughly. He further added that he was concerned that something might have been amiss with it and so did not place it under pressure. J Painting added that upon return to the race day tie-up stalls it appeared to be moving okay and walking without any signs of lameness. A post-race Veterinary examination revealed the gelding to be displaying mild signs of tying-up. Stewards acting on Veterinary advice, advised connections the gelding would be stood down from racing for seven days.

ALL SO SASSY– Held up for clear running over the concluding stages of the race.

 

RACE 3 – COPRICE FEEDS PACE – 1758 metres

 

SHES BELIEVABLE– Hung-in and contacted a marker peg leaving the 200 metres. Held up for clear running until near the 100 metres. Driver R Strong was reprimanded under Rule 170(1)(b) for activating gear using his foot in a downwards direction from the sulky footrest near the 400 metres. Driver R Strong was issued with a further reprimand under Rule 168(1)(a) for careless driving in that in the home straight he attempted a run to the inside of MAYWYNS LA NINA where there was insufficient room and made contact to a number of marker pegs near the 100 metres.

WHERE YA BIN NZ – Examined by the Club Veterinarian prior to the race, as it was having its first race start in over 6 months, and cleared to start.

SNEAK A PEEK NZ – Held up for clear running for the majority of the home straight.

BE GOOD MIKI– Post-race swab sampled.

FOREVER YIN– Pre-race swab sampled. Held up for clear running rounding the home turn and in the home straight.

PLAN CE– Driver N Horan was fined the sum of $200 under Rule 156(2)(a) for using his whip with an action that was more than a wrist only flicking motion in the home straight.

MASTER JUDE – Over-raced during the middle stages of the event, before tiring over the concluding stages. Driver R Coelli reported that the gelding was contacting its own sulky wheel with its hind leg resulting in it over-racing. Given the circumstances connections were advised that it would be required to perform a re-qualifying trial.

 

RACE 4 – L&D BOWLING CLUB PACE – 1758 metres

 

ABERCROMBIE LIMBO– Shifted out near the 400 metres and jostled for position with DIDNT I for a short distance.

DIDNT I– Jostled with ABERCROMBIE LIMBO near the 400 metres when that runner shifted out, a short distance later hung-in and raced roughly momentarily.

FORGED IN FIRE – Examined by the Club Veterinarian prior to the race, as it was having its first race start in over 12 months, and cleared to start.

THE BANKER NZ– Galloped out at the start, given the gelding’s record connections were advised that it would be placed outside the draw for future mobile start races. Broke gait free of interference near the 600 metres, for which a warning was issued. A post-race Veterinary examination of the gelding did not reveal any significant abnormalities.

SECURITY CHECK– Pre-race swab sampled. Made a three wide mid race move to take over the position outside the leader leaving the 1200 metres. Post-race swab sampled.

 

RACE 5 – NH3 REFRIGERATION PACE – 1758 metres

 

General– The start of this race was delayed by approximately five minutes due to the lights in the home straight switching off, prior to the runners going out on to the track to commence their preliminaries.

GLAMORS SYMBOL – Examined by the Club Veterinarian prior to the race, as it has had over 200 race starts, and cleared to start. Post-race swab sampled.

PADDY MACH – Examined by the Club Veterinarian prior to the race, as it has had over 200 race starts, and cleared to start.

HUMMING TOP– Stewards accepted the explanation tendered by Trainer S Adams for the late declaration of Driver for the gelding. Raced three wide from the start before working forward to take up the position outside the leader near the 1400 metres.

FIFTYSHADESOFHAY NZ– Pre-race swab sampled. Raced three wide from the start before working forward to take over the position outside the leader approaching the 1200 metres.

OURMATE GEEJAY– Placed back in the draw for future mobile start races.

 

RACE 6 – GUILDFORD TRANSPORT LADYSHIP PACE – 1758 metres

 

SHOULDBETWOBYTWO – Tightened for room when racing to the inside of HY MAINTENANCE entering the first turn, contacted marker pegs and broke gait as a result.

HY MAINTENANCE– Driver B Jones pleaded guilty to a charge under Rule 165(1)(b), in that he shifted his runner in when not sufficiently clear of the extended front legs of SHOULDBETWOBYTWO tightening that runner resulting in it contacting marker pegs and breaking gait. In assessing penalty, Stewards took into account B Jones’ guilty plea, his very good driving record and the particular circumstances of the incident. Driver B Jones had his license to drive in races suspended for a period of 7 days, to commence at midnight the 3rd of November. Post-race swab sampled.

SWEET OPTIONS–Stewards accepted the explanation tendered by Trainer E Jones for the late declaration of Driver for the filly. Raced roughly during the score-up and was out of position at the start, for which a warning was issued.

ROLL TO THE TOP– Pre-race swab sampled.

 

RACE 7 – WASHINGTON FURNITURE MAIDEN PACE – 2147 metres

 

SHES A WARRAWEE– Pre-race swab sampled. Post-race swab sampled.

MILLYANO– Raced three wide from the start before working forward to take up the position outside the leader approaching the 1600 metres. Broke gait free of interference near the 1000 metres, given it was the filly’s first race start connections were advised that it would be required to perform a re-qualifying trial. A post-race Veterinary examination revealed the filly to be suffering from respiratory distress. Stewards acting on Veterinary advised connections that they would be required to provide a Veterinary certificate of fitness for the filly prior to it resuming racing.

 

RACE 8 – THE TAB APP PACE – 1758 metres

 

GOLDEN REASON– Pre-race swab sampled.

CAMNAT – Raced three wide from the start before working forward to take up the position outside the leader approaching the 1200 metres.

GLAMOUR FOX– Post-race swab sampled.

SMOKIN TALLY – Examined by the Club Veterinarian prior to the race, as it has had over 200 race starts, and cleared to start.

ARTIMOS – Examined by the Club Veterinarian prior to the race at the request of its Driver and found to be suffering lameness to its near fore leg and was declared a late scratching at 10.03pm. Connections were advised that they would be required to provide a Veterinary certificate of fitness for the geldingprior to its next race start. Trainer M Towers reported that it was his intention to spell the gelding.
