RACE 1 – DOWNLOAD THE TAB APP TODAY PACE – 1758 metres
FLY TO THE FINISH NZ – Held up during the early stages of the home straight prior to obtaining clear running over the latter stages of the event.
SHES A WARRAWEE– Pre-race swab & Post-race swab.
RENROW LAD – Raced roughly passing the 400m and again approaching the 200m a warning was issued against the gelding racing manners.
RACE 2– SOUTHERN CENTRAL ENGINEERING PACE – 1758 metres
General: Stewards approved Shane Hallcroft as the late driver on SCOTTIE MACH due to James Locke being unable to attend the meeting due to mechanical breakdown.
OLE CHESTER – Pre-race swab. Hung outwards passing the 600m and hung outwards under pressure over the final 200m.
SCOTTIE MACH – Post-race swab.
YANKEE BABE – Declared a late scratching at 11:23am by order of stewards.
VILLAGE AREA – ($3.80)Driver Peter McRae was queried into the overall performance of the gelding which finished in 6th position beaten 19m after racing in a favourable one-one position throughout. Mr McRae advised the gelding to be disappointing and attributed the performance to the consisted speed throughout the event which resulted in the gelding being unable to finish off to the desired manner.
QUICKSHIFT GIRL – ($6.00)Driver Blake Jones was queried into the overall performance of the filly which finished in 7th position beaten 19.6m after racing in a favourable running line position. Mr Jones advised the filly to be slightly disappointing over the concluding stages of the event and attributed the performance to the overall quick speed throughout the event.
RACE 3 – LEETON SOLDIERS CLUB PACE – 1758 metres
ROCKNROLL RAMBO – Pre-race swab & Post-race swab.
THE CLOCK WINDER – Hung inwards passing the 400m.
GEOFFREY BEE – Driver Tom Downey was fined the sum of $200 under AHR Rule 156(2)(a) for applying the whip to the gelding with more than a wrist flicking action and with overt force over the final 250m.
RACE 4– MIBRAE QUARRIES PACE – 1758 metres
General: Stewards approved Jackson Painting as the late driver on ANGLE DEE JAY due to James Locke being unable to attend the meeting due to mechanical breakdown.
JOES REDEMPTION – Over raced during the early & middle stages of the event.
BETTERTHANTHEBOYZ – Driver Blake Jones was fined the sum of $200 under AHR Rule 156(2)(a) for applying the whip to the gelding with more than a wrist flicking action and with overt force shortly after the start was effected.
HOLME BOY – Pre-race swab & Post-race swab.
RACE 5 – FELIX JOINERY PACE – 1758 metres
KING KULAFU – Pre-race swab & Post-race swab.
UNCHAINMYART – Over raced during the early & middle stages of the event.
RACE 6 – COPRICE FEEDS PACE – 2147 metres
General: Stewards approved Blake Micallef as the late driver on HARVEY HUGHES NZ due to James Locke being unable to attend the meeting due to mechanical breakdown.
ONTHADARKSIDE – Post-race swab.
BIGWHEEL BOMBA – Broke gait clear of interference entering the first turn. BIGWHEEL BOMBA will now be stood down from racing for a period of fourteen (14) days & trialling to the satisfaction of stewards on two (2) occasions. In taking this action stewards were mindful of the gelding’s prior poor record in being stood down for displaying similar racing manners at its most recent start.
JUSTCALLIMREX – ($8.00) Broke gait during the early stages of the score up however was in position when the start was effected. A warning was issued against JUSTCALLIMREX barrier manners. Driver Tom Gilligan was queried into the overall performance of the gelding which finished in 7th position beaten 39.7m after racing behind the leader for majority of the event prior to giving ground from the 500m. Mr Gilligan advised the gelding to be disappointing as he was confident of a forward performance & contributed the performance to the gelding being agitated prior to the event & displaying poor racing manners during the score up & during the event when over racing and felt the gelding may have come to end of its preparation & advised the stable would now more than likely send the gelding to be spelled.
UNDENIABLY NEEDY – Out of position when the start was effected despite the drivers efforts. UNDENIABLY NEEDY will now be excluded from the barrier draw in future mobile start events. Broke gait clear of interference approaching the 1800m. UNDENIABLY NEEDY will now be stood down from racing until trialling to the satisfaction of stewards on one (1) occasion.
LOCHIEL LAD NZ – Pre-race swab. Hung inwards at various stages of the event.
ELLENS DELIGHT – ($3.00 Fav) Driver Blake Jones was queried into the overall performance of the filly which finished in 5th position beaten 25.9m after racing in a favourable running line position. Mr Jones advised he was satisfied with the performance as the filly is a 2 year old taking on older runners and raced somewhat inconsistent at various stages of the event in dropping the bit than over racing combined racing over the longer distance of 2147m first up from a spell & would derive benefit from the performance.Back in mobile draw.
RACE 7 – WASHINGTON FURNITURE PACE – 1758 metres
JACKS LAST HOO RAA – Pre-race swab. Over raced during the early & middle stages of the event.
BIDGEE BABE – Post-race swab.
THE BANKER NZ – Broke gait clear of interference passing the 400m. THE BANKER NZ will now be stood down from racing until trailing to the satisfaction on one (1) occasion. Back in mobile draw.
RACE 8 – TAB VENUE MODE PACE – 1758 metres
MOREARTSTHANCLASS – Trainer Paul Kahlefeldt was fined the sum of $50 under AHR Rule 210 for late declaration of the driver upon the mare. Post-race swab.
MISTER REBEL – Pre-race swab. Underwent pre and post-race veterinary examinations due to the gelding having started in excess of 200 starts. Neither examination revealed any significant abnormalities.
SMOKIN TALLY – Underwent pre and post-race veterinary examinations due to the gelding having started in excess of 200 starts & attaining the age of 14 yrs. Neither examination revealed any significant abnormalities.
SHERMAN – Driver Raymond Turner was fined the sum of $100 under AHR Rule 163(1)(c)(ii) for contacting multiple maker pegs around the final turn.
ROCKING MANDY – Hung inwards and contacted marker pegs around the final turn.
