RACE 1 – DOWNLOAD THE TAB APP TODAY PACE – 1758 metres

SHES BEWITCHED – Driver Peter Mcrae was questioned regarding performance of the mare which finished in 4th position beaten 29.3 metres after having a favourable run throughout. Mr McRae explained the mare was not suited improving three wide without cover from the 600 metres.  

RIVEERA – Pre-race blood sample. Post-race swab sample.

ABSOLUTELY STOKED – Gave ground from the 400m to finish in last position beaten 51 metres.

OLE CHESTER – Broke gait shortly after the start was effected and a warning was issued.Held up rounding the final turn.

MILLWOOD GRACE NZ – Held up rounding the final turn prior to obtaining clear running.


 RACE 2 – GUILFORD TRANSPORT PACE – 1758 metres

LOGAN REASON – Pre-race blood sample. Post-race swab sample. Shifted out inside the final 200 metres resulting in BETTERTHANTHEBOYZ being tightened passing the 100 metres. In not taking more severe action Stewards were mindful CARMEN ON BLING shifted in which contributed to the incident.

BETTERTHANTHEBOYZ – Held up inside the final 200 metres resulting in mare not being fully tested.

RAGING ON NZ – Pre-race blood sample.

CARMEN ON BLING- Shifted in inside the final 200 metres resulting in BETTERTHANTHEBOYZ being tightened passing the 100 metres. In not taking more severe action Stewards were mindful LOGAN REASON shifted out which contributed to the incident.  

SURFING GIDGET – Gave ground from the 400 metres onwards.

ROLL THE ACES – Held up inside the final 200 metres resulting in mare not being fully tested.


RACE 3 – SOUTHERN CENTRAL ENGINEERING PACE – 1758 metres

SCOTTIE MACH – Pre-race blood sample. Driver Shane Hallcroft was spoken to advisedly regarding the manner in which he used the whip inside the final 200 metres.  

CATCH THE SHARK – Driver Brent Blythewas spoken to advisedly regarding the manner in which he used the whip inside the final 200 metres.  Post-race swab sample.

RUN BUSINESS RUN –Broke gait during the early stages of the score up,  was out of position when the start was effected and a warning was issued.

DUST TO DIAMONDS – Underwent pre and post-race veterinary examinations due to the gelding having started in excess of 200 races & attaining the age of 13 years old. Neither examination revealed any significant abnormalities. 

ROBUST EASTON NZ – Pulled hard during the middle stages of the event.


RACE 4 – LANHAMS JEWELLERS PACE – 1758 metres

THANK YOU SAUL – Pre-race blood sample.  Broke approaching the 1300 metres after the gelding was inconvenienced when directed out after being unable to obtain the position following MYBOYMYBOY. In the circumstances a warning was issued.

THATS THE ATTITUDE – Inconvenienced approaching the 1400m due to THANK YOU SAUL breaking gait.

COMPLICATED – Inconvenienced approaching the 1300m due to THANK YOU SAUL breaking gait.

TACTFILLY MAGIC – ($26.00) Trainer/Driver Stewart Richards was queried into the seemingly poor performance of the mare which finished in 8th position beaten 55.8m after racing outside the leader for the majority of the event. Mr Richards advised TACTFILLY MAGIC performed disappointingly in his opinion, however he attributed the performance to the mare being first up since 10October 2023 combined with being up in class and racing without cover. 

DIGYOURHEELSIN – Post-race swab sample.

ROLL PAY – Inconvenienced approaching the 1300m due to THANK YOU SAUL breaking gait.

WONGALEA MEG – Checked and broke gait approaching the 1300m due to THANK YOU SAUL breaking gait.

 

RACE 5 – LEETONS SOLDIERS CLUB PACE – 1758 metres

TE QUIRO – Pre-race blood sample.

PIRANI PRINCESS – Tighten for racing room entering the first turn when CAPTAIN OF SPEED hung inwards. Driver Ky Bloomfield was issued a reprimand for driving where there was insufficient room approaching the 400m resulting in PIRANI PRINCESS being tightened. Held up during the early stages of the home straight prior obtaining clear running.

CAPTAIN OF SPEED – Hung in entering the first turn despite the efforts of its driver entering the first turn and a warning was issued. Post-race swab sample.

SMOKIN POCKET – Driver Lochie Painting was fined the $200 under Rule 156(2)(a) for applying the whip to the gelding with more than a wrist only flicking action.

 

RACE 6 – YENDA PRODUCERS PACE – 1758 metres

General:

Stewards opened an inquiry into the reasons for YOO TRISH being checked up shortly after passing the winning post upon the completion of the event. After taking evidence from drivers Stewart Richards (YOO TRISH), Jamie Hogan (LIFE GETS BETTER) and Michael Towers (ARTIMOS) the matter was adjourned to allow Stewards the opportunity to consider the evidence tendered.  Post-race veterinary examination of YOO TRISH failed to reveal any significant findings.

LIFE GETS BETTER – Over-raced during the middle stages. Hung out upon straightening resulting in SHERMAN obtaining a clear run to its inside.

YOO TRISH –Pre-race blood sample. Broke gait during the score up and halted resulting in YOO TRISH locking wheels with NOTTADOUBTwhich was improving forward and the driver of YOO TRISH (Stewart Richards) being dislodged from the sulky and YOO TRISH continuing driverless for a short distance. YOO TRISH underwent a veterinary examination which failed to reveal any abnormalities and the mare was cleared to start. Driver Stewart Richards was cleared to fulfil his engagement. Given the recent poor record of YOO TRISH, the mare will now be placed to the extreme outside in future mobile start events (RODM).

KEEP PLAYING – Post-race swab sample.

ARTIMOS – Broke gait at the second attempt checkingADAMS ITcausing a false start. A warning was issued against barrier manners of ARTIMOS.

NOTTADOUBT –Checked and locked wheels with YOO TRISHduring the score up at the first attempt. Gave ground from the 500m to finish in 8th position beaten 58.9m Driver Oliver Arentz was queried into the seemingly poor performance of the gelding Mr Arentz was at a loss to explain the performance other than the gelding failed to travel at any stages of the event and provided to be disappointing. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no significant abnormalities. NOTTADOUBT will now be placed on its last chance to race truly. In not taking more severe action Stewards were mindful of the multiple false starts and associated delay.

SCREENTIME – Gave ground from the 500m to finish in 9th and last position beaten 65m. SCREENTIME will now be placed on its last chance to race truly. In not taking more severe action Stewards were mindful of the multiple false starts and associated delay.

ADAMS IT – Checked during the middle stages of the score up at the second attempt whenARTIMOSbroke gait.

 

RACE 7 – GOLDEN APPLE SUPER STORE PACE – 2147 metres

The start of this event was delayed slightly due to the multiple false starts in the race prior.

ABRAHAM – Pre-race blood sample.

THREEGRANDSONS – Tired from the 600 metres onwards to finish in 10thand last position beaten 101 metres. THREEGRANDSONS will now be stood down from racing until trialling to the satisfaction of Stewards. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the gelding to be displaying a delayed post-race recovery.

TASSIE SAFARI – Pulled hard during the middle stages of the event.

 

RACE 8 – THE TAB APP NSW BRED THREE YEAR OLD HEAT – 1758 metres

The start of this event was delayed due to KRISTYSGIRL sustaining a flat tyre during the preliminary.

IMANI – Broke shortly after the start and a warning was issued. Driver Blake Jones explained after re-joining the rear of the field he allowed IMANI to improve forward three wide as the speed of the event was very slow (First Quarter – 33.1 seconds). Mr Jones added that irrespective of the use made of IMANI during the early stages the filly was disappointing with its failure to run on over the concluding stages.

EASTENDA –Held up rounding the final turn and in the early part of the straight.

LENNETH – Pre-race blood sample.

ONTHADARKSIDE – Underwent pre and post-race veterinary examinations due to the gelding having not started in the preceding 12 months. Neither examination revealed any significant abnormalities.  Inconvenienced shortly after the start when IMANI broke gait.

THALASSOPHOBIA – Out of position at the start and will continue to be placed outside the draw in future mobile start events.Post-race swab sample.
