RACE 2 –THE WEEKLY ADVERTISER TROTTERS HANDICAP (2200 SS )
POPPY POPSTAR- hung in around the home turn when giving ground.
SEBASTIANS SECRET- broke free of interference approaching the winning post on the first occasion. Given his previous racing history the gelding was stood down from racing pending the completion of a satisfactory trial.
WATCH AND ACT- held up around the home turn.
SHOW ME THE MOOLAH- Stewards queried drivers David Murphy and Jackie Barker(SONARMI JOH) as to the reasons for SHOW ME THE MOOLAH breaking racing into the final turn. After hearing from both drivers and viewing the race vision it was established that SHOW ME THE MOOLAH had shifted SONARMI JOH wider before the turn, however then became unbalanced as driver David Murphy was obliged to shift wider again to avoid locking wheels with POPPY POPSTAR which was giving ground to his inside.
ICICLE – the 20 metre tape failed to release as the start was effected, and the starter called a false start.
RACE 3 – DECRON HORSE CARE NOEL SMITH MEMORIAL HORSHAM INVATATION DRIVERS CHAMPIONSHIP (1) (1700 MS)
AREUOHKAY- held up around the home turn before utilising the sprint lane.
ONA MERRY DANCE- held up and unable to obtain clear running over the concluding stages.

RACE 4 – DECRON HORSE CARE NOEL SMITH MEMORIAL HORSHAM INVATATION DRIVES CHAMPIONSHIP (2) (1700 MS)
JANSU- hung in, trotted roughly then broke racing into the first turn, then lost her off fore shoe. A post race veterinary exam indicated a superficial abrasion to the mares off fore heel bulb.

THE FIERY SUNSET- broke free of interference shortly after the start and was placed out of the mobile barrier draw, trailed the field thereafter.

RACE 7 DECRON HORSE CARE NOEL SMITH MEMORIAL HORSHAM INVITATION DRIVERS CHAMPIONSHIP (5) (1700 MS)
THE TRI LINE- driver David Moran was fined $100 pursuant to AHRR 162(1)(h). Mr Moran also reported that the gelding had cross fired throughout the race, which had caused him to pace roughly near the 400 metres. A post race veterinary exam revealed no apparent abnormalities.
WILD BULL NZ- post race swab samples taken.
KRAFTY CANDY- Stewards queried driver Jack Laugher, who explained that the filly was racing in a straight rubber bit and had proven difficult to restrain, contributing to him not being fully in position at the start. The filly then pulled very hard as he attempted to restrain towards and the first turn, and again near the 1100 metres as the tempo eased. Trainer representative Connor Clarke advised that the stable would look to effect gear changes to have the filly race more tractably. Trainer Geoff Webster was cautioned for failing to have the gear worn by the filly accurately recorded. A warning was placed on the filly for being out of position at the start.
PLAINS IN HEAVEN- held up around the home trun before utilising the sprint lane.
DANCE AFFAIR- pre race swab samples taken. Unable to fully get into position due to THE TRI LINE not being on the gate at the start.
RACE 8 DECRON HORSE CARE NOEL SMITH MEMORIAL HORSHAM INVITATION DRIVERS CHAMPIONSHIP(6) (2200 MS)
NOSWEETSFORYOU- pre race swab samples taken.
SLICE OF CHEDDAR- tired to be beaten 99.5 metres. Stewards queried driver Jack Laugher, who explained the gelding who was racing first up, had trialled twice leading up to today race. Mr Laugher added that after being initially driven forward he then gained cover near the 1600 metres, however the pace had then quickened again at that stage and that his drive may not have been suited by working off the gate and by the continued quick tempo. A post race veterinary exam revealed no apparent abnormalities. Given the beaten margin the gelding was placed on his last chance to race competetively and Stewards will follow up with trainer John Gilbertson in the days following the race.SUPPLEMENTARY REPORT 22/6/24 Trainer John Gilbertson explained that he was at a loss to explain the poor performance of the gelding, and that he would geive him a short let up, then look to trial before again nominating to race.
KEAYANG HONEYJOY- worked forward to race outside the leader in the early and middle stages before giving ground late.
RACE 9 WORLDS BEST HOOF OIL 3YO MAIDEN PACE (1700 MS)
The start of this race was delayed due to Muswellbrook gallops Race 7 running significantly behind schedule.
KEAYANG SHADOWBOX- ($3.10, 9th placing beaten 36 metres) underwent a post race veterinary exam which revealed no apparent abnormalities. Driver Glen Craven reported that the filly had hit her offside knee and shin throughout and was unable to make ground when he attempted to put her into the race.
OUR BETTER BRO- paced roughly after the start- placed on his last chance in the mobile barrier draw.
SMOKESCREEN -gave ground after being caught wide and working forward through the early and middle stages.
