Trainers with multiple runners in any one race were questioned in relation to their intended tactics.
RACE 1 – FREE ENTRY GP AFTER THE CRICKET FRIDAY PACE (2130MS
KINKY NZ (D Roberts) - Broke gait racing into front straight on the final occasion. Returned have cast a near for plate. Stood down from racing for a period of 6 days and until completion of 1 satisfactory re-qualifying trial.
RACE 2 – $9 PINTS SWAN DRAUGHT AFTER THE CRICKET PACE (2130MS)
METEROID (J SUVALJKO) – Hung inwards racing towards the front straight on the final occasion resulting in ROCKNROLL NUGGET (A Decampo) being tightened and eased. Warning issued.
RACE 3 – NEW MENUS TONIGHT IN STEELO’S PACE (2130MS)
General: Driver J. Suvaljko (LETS ROCK TONIGHT) was fined $100 under HR168(1)(a) for careless driving after contacting the nearside sulky wheel of AT THE POINTY END (D Roberts), causing his drive to break gait racing off the back straight on the first occasion.
RACE 4 – ASHES TEST MATCH – THEN TO THE TROTS PACE (2130MS)
No racing incidents to report.
RACE 5 – CAMEL TIME AFTER THE CRICKET PACE (2130MS)
OH MIKI (L Elliott) - Out of position at the start. Warning issued.
STAR OF THE GALAXY (D MILLER) - Raced roughly racing out of the back straight on the first occasion.
RACE 6 – CELEBRATE THE ASHES AT GLOUCESTER PARK PACE (2130MS)
AIR MARSHALL (T Nally) - Inconvenienced behind a tiring runner resulting in the mare racing roughly making the front straight on the final occasion.
RACE 7 – CONTINUE YOUR ASHES DAY AT GP PACE (2130MS)
COPPER HEAD LADY (J Callaghan) - Broke gait making the turn into the front straight on the final occasion. Stood down from racing for a period of 6 days and until completion of 1 satisfactory re- qualifying trial.
