Trainers with multiple runners in any one race were questioned in relation to their intended tactics.
As Driver C Voak was doubly engaged due to him experiencing mobile phone issues and not being able to confirm his driving engagements, the following driving changes were effected:
Race 1 – CARRERA MACH NZ – Driver C Lewis
Race 11 – STRAUNY – Driver K Harper
RACE 1 – SKY RACING PACE (2130MS)
TORPEDO ROCK (E Suvaljko) – Broke gait shortly after the start. Following the race, Driver E Suvaljko reported the crupper strap clip had broken at the start which in her opinion caused the gelding to break gait. This advice was confirmed, and it was decided that no action should be taken against the gelding in such circumstances.
ROCKNROLL ELLIOT (J Young) – When interviewed in relation to allowing the gelding to improve in a three wide position in the back straight on the first occasion after the start and remaining in that position thereafter, Driver J Young advised that the gelding had been traveling strongly and is suited to being driven forward and she had anticipated being able to cross SUGAR STREET NZ (C Voak) to race outside the leader, however ROCKNROLL ELLIOT failed to quicken despite her efforts and the gelding lost momentum and was therefore obliged to remain racing three wide without cover.
GEE HEZA SPORT NZ (D Roberts) – The removable deafeners became detached in the front straight on the final occasion and returned having cast its near hind plate in running.
RACE 2 – GARY HALL JNR - ULTIMATE DRIVER SERIES SLOT 4YO+ PACE (2130MS)
BLAZE COOPS was a late withdrawal at 2.45pm due to Trainer S Tognolini being unwell and unable to have the mare transported to the course for its engagement.
HEAVENLY WAGE (D Roberts) – Inconvenienced in the front straight on the final occasion when LOVE ON THE ROCKS NZ (T Wheeler) was taken outwards to obtain clear running.
RACE 3 – TROTSYND SYNDICATION PACE (2130MS)
FLYING RUMOUR (S Suvaljko) – Commenced to over-race after crossing to the lead leaving the back straight on the first occasion. When interviewed in relation to the unplaced performance, Driver S Suvaljko stated that after being driven forward to cross to the lead, the gelding commenced to over-race and in his opinion was challenged by SOLESSEO MATUCA (G Hall Jnr) which was driven forward to race to his outside resulting in fast early quarters being recorded and in such circumstances was unable to finish off the race.
RACE 4 – THE SCHRADER F&M FFA (G3) PACE (2130MS)
AARDIEBYTHESEASIDE NZ (D Roberts) – Broke gait in the early stages of the score up and consequently was out of position at the start. The filly will now be placed out of the draw for future mobile barrier events.
RACE 5 – 3YO WESTERN GATEWAY (G3) PACE (2536MS)
WORLDS ABOVE (T Wheeler) – Raced greenly and lay outwards throughout. Locked sulky stays for a short distance with ARTFUL MAJOR (J Prentice) in the back straight on the final occasion.
ALTA TRIBUTE (G Hall Jnr) – Contacted the sulky wheel of WAVERIDER (K Symington) leaving the back straight on the first occasion when racing keenly and subsequently broke gait.
General: Driver G Hall Jnr (ALTA TRIBUTE) was fined $100 under HR168(1)(a) for careless driving for contacting the sulky wheel of WAVERIDER causing ALTA TRIBUTE to break gait leaving the turn off the back straight on the first occasion. When assessing this incident, Stewards considered the racing manner of ALTA TRIBUTE as it was racing keenly.
RACE 6 – CONGRATULATIONS GARY HALL JNR 4000 WINNERS FFA PACE (2536MS)
CORDERO (D Roberts) – Broke gait after the start. The gelding will now be placed out of the draw for future mobile barrier events.

SUGAR DELIGHT (C Lewis) – Slightly inconvenienced when tightened in the front straight on the final occasion.
LION QUEEN (S Suvaljko) – Hung outwards over the final 600 metres placing its driver at a slight disadvantage.
General: Driver C Voak (HEARTOFAHLIA) was cautioned for shifting outwards in the front straight on the final occasion causing SUGAR DELIGHT to be momentarily tightened and inconvenienced. Mr Voak was advised to ensure he is fully clear when shifting ground to improve his position in future.
RACE 8 – NORTH COAST FIBREGLASS PACE (2130MS)
NAME IN LIGHTS (S Suvaljko) – Raced inside a marker peg near the winning post on the final occasion. Driver S Suvaljko was cautioned and reminded of his obligations to ensure he has adequate room when endeavouring to improve his position to the inside of other runners in the front straight on the final occasion in future.
RACE 9 – GLOUCESTER PARK GURUS - ULTIMATE DRIVERS SERIES 3YO WESTERN GATEWAY CONSOLATION PACE (2536MS)
