Adjourned Inquiries |
Late Reports:
GLOUCESTER PARK, Friday 12 April 2024
RACE 10 – THE NULLARBOR – 1 WEEK AWAY 3YO PACE (2130MS)
Driver K Symington (HEEZA A VIBE) pleaded guilty to a charge under HR163(1)(a)(iii) for causing interference for the manner he shifted outwards in the front straight on the final occasion, which caused contact to GREVIS (A De Campo) which broke gait and lost ground. Driver K Symington subsequently had his licence to drive in races suspended for a period of 8 days starting at midnight 19th April expiring at midnight 27th April 2024. When considering penalty Stewards took into account K Symington’s good record having 487 drives since his last suspension under this rule, his guilty plea, the degree of interference with the carelessness being in the low to mid-range the interference deemed to be at the mid-level with the consequences being that the colt broke gait and lost ground, and that the period of suspension included significant races.
