Trainers with multiple runners in any one race were questioned in relation to their intended tactics.

Due to C Suvaljko being indisposed, Stewards approved the following driver changes.

Race 2 UNDER THE ALTA – C Lewis, Race 5 BOLD JACKIE – C Lewis, Race 8 SHIMMING – A De Campo

RACE 1 – FREE ENTRY BOXING DAY – 26TH DECEMBER PACE (2130MS)

No racing incidents to report.

RACE 2 – BOOK INTO STEELO’S TONIGHT PACE (2130MS)

BAZAA MAC NZ-Late scratching at 5.19pm after a veterinary examination diagnosed the gelding with colic. Will be stood down from racing for a period of 7 days and until such time as a Veterinary Certificate of soundness can be provided.

RACE 3 – BOOK YOUR NYE PARTY AT GLOUCESTER PARK PACE (2130MS)

ADDA PARIS (A Markham) - Fractious in the score up.

Driver K Madden (STELLA MAJOR) was reprimanded under HR170(1)(b) for moving her foot in a downward direction when activating gear.

Driver S Grout (TUMBLIN DICE) was reprimanded under HR162(1)(h) for failing to come up into position for the start.

ALLY ROCKS (K Harper) - Raced roughly shortly after the start. 

RACE 4 – NEW YEARS EVE AT GLOUCESTER PARK PACE (2130MS)

UNLUCKY (Li Harper) - Broke a carrier strap leaving the back straight on the first occasion with the off-fore becoming entangled causing the mare the break gait and was subsequently retired from the event. The gear was inspected and found to be in good order.

MASTER LEIGHTON (La Harper) - Inconvenienced leaving the back straight on the first occasion.

RACE 5 – $9 PINTS EVERY FRIDAY IN STEELO’S OR JP’S PACE (2130MS)

Driver D Egerton-Green (EASTERN ADVANCE) was reprimand under HR156(2)(a) for using the whip in more than a wrist only flicking motion.

Driver C Voak (ROCKSTAR QUALITY) was fined $400 under HR156(2)(a) for using the whip in more than a wrist only flicking motion.

RACE 6 – TROTSYND – JOIN THE FUN PACE (1730MS)

LADY AQUILA (A Markham) - Inconvenienced shortly after the start. 

PRINCESS AVIATOR (J Suvaljko) - Broke gait shortly after the start. Will be placed outside the draw in future mobile barrier events. Inconvenienced and broke gait entering the front straight on to receive the bell.

ELWADDELLS SISTER (D Harper) - Broke the near hind hopple shortly after the start and subsequently broke gait entering the front straight to receive the bell before being retired from the event shortly after. The gear was inspected  and found to be in good order.

SAIFAH PRINCESS (L Harper) - Broke gait entering the front straight to receive the bell. Trialled the field thereafter and took no competitive part. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities. Will be stood down from racing for a period of 6 days and until such time as the completion of  a satisfactory requalifying trial.

Driver M Munro (SPLASH OF CASH) was reprimand under HR156(2)(a) for using the whip in more than a wrist only flicking motion.

RACE 7 – RAC MEMBERS SAVE 5% EVERY DAY AT RETRAVISION PACE (2130MS)

KOOJAN (L Kennelly) - Galloped out at the start. Will be placed outside the draw in future mobile barrier events. Broke gait in the front straight on the final occasion. Will be stood down from racing for a period of 6 days and until such time as the completion of 1 satisfactory re-qualifying trial.

OUR RICH CARGO (D Egerton-Green) - Raced roughly entering the front straight on the first occasion.
