Trainers with multiple runners in any one race were questioned in relation to their intended tactics.

RACE 1 – TROTSYND SYNDICATION 3YO PACE (1730MS)

TERASITA (G Hall Jnr) – Broke gait in the score up, trailed the field throughout. Broke gait racing into the front straight on the final occasion. Will be placed outside the draw for future mobile barrier events (ODM x4). Will be stood down from racing for a period of 6 days and until such time as the completion of 1 satisfactory re-qualifying trial.

General: Trainer K Prentice (LENORA JANE) was fined $50 under rule 273(6)(b) for presenting the filly with its incorrect gear with a hood being added.

RACE 2 – NORTH COAST FIBREGLASS PACE (2130MS)

No racing incidents to report.

RACE 3 – CATALANOTRUCKS.COM.AU (DIV.1) PACE (2130MS)

General: Driver Lauren Harper (SUGAR APPLE NZ) pleaded guilty to a charge of careless driving under HR168(1)(a) for making contact to the off side sulky wheel of HENGHENG (Lindsay Harper) and broke gait causing MAJOR JAY NZ (N Turvey), MAKE IT QUICK (S McDonald) and ACOLTNAMEDSU (G Hall Jnr) all to be checked at various degrees racing in the back straight on the final occasion. Driver Lauren Harper had her licence to drive in races suspended for 9 days to commence on midnight Tuesday, 12 November 2024 and to expire midnight Thursday, 21 November 2024. When assessing penalty Stewards considered the mid to high degree of carelessness and interference and also her excellent driving record with this being her first suspension under a careless driving rule since obtaining her driver's licence in 2011 having accrued over 2000 drives since that time.

RACE 4 – THE RUNNING CAMEL PACE (2130MS)

WALL STREET GIRL (C Lewis) – Broke gait as the start was effected. Will be placed outside the draw for future mobile barrier events.

RACE 5 – GARRARDS HORSE & HOUND (DIV.2) PACE (2130MS)

No racing incidents to report.

RACE 6 – WESTSIDE AUTO WHOLESALE PACE (2130MS)

General: Driver M Brown (STRIKE MASTER NZ) was interviewed in relation to the gelding breaking gait racing into the front straight on the final occasion, it was established that as STRIKE MASTER NZ had been held up for clear running YOU FLY WITH ME NZ (C Voak) had begun to give ground and as a result STRIKE MASTER NZ contacted its off side sulky wheel raced roughly and broke gait shortly after. In assessing all circumstances no blame was attributed to any driver and no further action was taken.

RACE 7 – RETRAVISION.COM.AU TROT (2503SS)

BONNIE RAE (L Harper) – Broke gait shortly after the start, a warning was issued.

THATS NOT MY GAIT (G Hall Jnr) – Checked and broke gait shortly after the start.

RACE 8 – WESTRAL PACE (2130MS)

HAVEYOUMETTED (B Smith) – Hung outwards when leading and shifted outwards when under pressure in the straight on the final occasion inconveniencing MY SILVER SPOON NZ (C Voak). A warning was issued on the gelding’s racing manner. Driver B Smith was advised to make every effort to prevent his drives from shifting outwards in similar circumstances.
