RACE 8 – STEELOS PACE (2130MS)
The adjourned inquiry involving Drivers D Roberts (SWEETEST THING), T Lynn (MAGICAL MYSTY), G Hall Jnr (FOLLOW THE MUSIC) and M Brown (JILLIBY JAKE) in relation to an incident shortly after the start was concluded. It was established that MAGICAL MYSTERY shifted inwards away from FOLLOW THE MUSIC as FIRST AIRBORNE (A De Campo) shifted outwards slightly with both movements causing SWEETEST THING to be placed in restricted room when having a tendency to hang inwards slightly causing the mare to be steadied and shortly after was checked and then broke gait. After considering the evidence put forward from all drivers and reviewing the vision of the incident, Stewards could not apportion blame to any one driver, however Driver G Hall Jnr was told to ensure that he affords runners to his inside more room when crossing other runners in future.
