Trainers with multiple runners in any one race were questioned in relation to their intended tactics.
RACE 1 – SKY RACING 3YO FILLIES PACE (2130MS)
CHILLI PUNTER (K Symington) – When interviewed in relation to the unplaced performance Driver K Symington advised that the filly had not been suited when challenged for the lead through the early and middle stages until relinquishing that position at the turn into the front straight to receive the bell and consequently was unable to finish the race off. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities.
SOHO VESPER LIND (G Hall Jnr) – When questioned in relation to his driving tactics in urging the filly forward and working hard before crossing to the lead at the turn into the front straight to receive the bell, Driver G Hall Jnr stated that he was instructed to take a forward position with the filly and it was his opinion that his best chances of winning were to challenge for the lead as was confident of obtaining that position from CHILLI PUNTER (K Symington) and oblige LION QUEEN (S Suvaljko) to race to his outside.
RACE 2 – FOLLOW @SKYRACINGAU ON X PACE (1730MS)

RACE 3 – SKY RACING LISTEN LIVE CONDITIONED PACE (2130MS)

RACE 4 – SKY RACING NAVY CUP (G3) FFA PACE (2130MS)

RACE 5 – SKY RACING 3YO WA DERBY (G1) PACE (2536MS)
ALTA TRIBUTE (G Hall Jnr) – Locked sulky stays, raced roughly and hung inwards losing ground in the back straight on the final occasion. Driver G Hall Jnr reported the gelding had a tendency to hang inwards throughout and shifted ground quickly after becoming unbalanced when locking sulky stays in the back straight on the final occasion. Returned with an abrasion to the off fore tendon.
WAVERIDER (K Symington) – Inconvenienced in the back straight on the final occasion.
MADAM PUBLISHER NZ (S McDonald) – Checked and broke gait in the back straight on the final occasion.
CHRISTOPHER DANCE NZ (D Roberts) – Inconvenienced in the back straight on the final occasion.
MENEMSHA (A De Campo) – Locked sulky stays with ALTA TRIBUTE (G Hall Jnr) for a short distance in the back straight on the final occasion.
General: Drivers G Hall Jnr (ALTA TRIBUTE) and A De Campo (MENEMSHA) were interviewed in relation to an incident in the back straight where they locked sulky stays for some distance with ALTA TRIBUTE then racing roughly and losing ground resulting in a number of other runners receiving interference to varying degrees. It was established that MENEMSHA was taken up the track slightly in an endeavour to improve its position with ALTA TRIBUTE attempting to maintain its position and both runners then raced tightly with the sulky stays locking for a short distance and ALTA TRIBUTE becoming unbalanced and shifting inwards quickly when hanging inwards resulting in it racing roughly and losing ground. After considering the evidence of both drivers and reviewing the vision, neither driver was determined to have been careless in their actions, however Mr De Campo was reminded of his obligations to ensure he has sufficient advantage over other runners when endeavouring to improve his position by shifting other runners wider and Mr Hall Jnr was told not to apply undue pressure to other runners when endeavouring to hold his position in future.
RACE 6 – SKY RACING WATCH LIVE PACE (2130MS)

RACE 7 – SKY RACING ACTIVE PACE (2130MS)
APOLOGIZE (D Harper) – Gave ground from the 400m. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities.
SOHO BOLLINGER (G Hall Jnr) – Gave ground from the 500m. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities.
RACE 8 – #SKYRACING 3YO WA DERBY CONSOLATION PACE (2536MS)
The field was turned away in the initial stages of the score up due to IDEAL MUSCLE (A De Campo) becoming fractious and not facing the barrier.
SOHO SKYFALL (M Miller) – A post-race veterinary examination of the gelding revealed no abnormalities. Driver M Miller reported that the gelding had a tendency to race erratically. Trainer K Prentice expressed disappointment in the performance and will have blood samples taken over the ensuing days and report any abnormalities to the Stewards.
