Trainers with multiple runners in any one race provided stewards with their intentions prior to the event

RACE 1 - TAB LONG MAY WE PLAY PACE – 1800MS

AMORE ROCK – Broke gait after the start, will be excluded from the barrier draw in future mobile races – At the Trainers request was examined post-race by the veterinary surgeon who reported a minor laceration to the near fore coronet.

BETTOR BEONTOIT NZ - After showing gate speed, was obliged to race outside the leader in the early stages – Near the 1200 metres obtained a trail when crossed by DELIGHTFUL GNP NZ – Driver W Hill was cautioned that in future he would be required to ensure in the final straight his horse was provided with clear running when available.

STEINMAN NZ – Settled leaders back – Used the sprint lane.

BLACKTOP ROCK – Near the 1600 metres was eased into a trailing position in the running line.

ACES DAUGHTER – Near the 1600 metres was inconvenienced by DELIGHTFUL GNP shifting ground - From the 400 metres was obliged to improve five wide.

TOBY OGARA NZ - From the 400 metres was obliged to improve four wide.

DELIGHTFUL GNP NZ – Checked at the start when AMORE ROCK broke gait – Driver S Pascoe was issued a reprimand under Rule 162(1)(www) for shifting ground near the 1600 metres causing ACES DAUGHTER to be inconvenienced losing its position – From the 1500 metres worked forward three wide to race outside the leader – Over raced in the middle stages.

RACE 2 - NORTH EAST GROUP PACE – 1800MS

ARCO NZ – From the 400 metres was obliged to improve four wide, then five wide in the latter stages of the turn.

STAR WRITER – Near the 1700 metres was eased to a trailing position in the running line.

CLARENDEN ENVOY – After showing gate speed, was three wide briefly in the early stages – Worked forward to the lead near the 1500 metres – Near the 1100 metres surrendered the lead – From the 300 metres was held up prior to using the sprint lane.

MAKE HASTE – After showing gate speed, eased into a trailing position in the running line – Near the 1100 metres worked forward to the lead.

RUTHLESS ARMBRO – After being three wide in the early stages, near the 1500 metres eased into the running line briefly – from the 1300 metres worked forward three wide – Unsuccessfully attempted to obtain cover but from the 1100 metres worked to death – Raced outside the leader from the 1000 metres.

STEAM CLEANED– From the 400 metres was obliged to improve wide on the final turn.

RACE 3 - HYGAIN MARES PACE – 1800MS

BELLA SOFIA – After showing gate speed, withstood a challenge to lead - Near the 1200 metres surrendered the lead – Used the sprint lane.

KAHINA – After showing gate speed unsuccessfully challenged for the lead – Continued to race without cover.

SPANMATILDA – After showing gate speed, near the 1600 metres was eased into a trailing position in the running line.

AMMICCHI – After showing gate speed was three wide in the early stages – Was unable to obtain cover – From the 1400 metres worked forward to the lead.

WHATISAYGOES – From the 400 metres gave ground - Subjected to a post-race veterinary examination, no clinical issues reported.

PAY ME INTEREST NZ – Trainer S Loone when queried regarding an apparent improved performance stated that PAY ME INTEREST NZ appreciated the race being restricted to mares, being down in grade and had been suited by the slower sectionals.  He added that he felt that PAY ME INTEREST NZ responded best to Driver D Hill.

ILLAWONG GERRY – From the 300 metres was held up until entering the final straight.

RACE 4 - HOPKINS SADDLERY TROTTERS MOBILE – 2230MS

Stewards ordered the withdrawal of 3. SUPER ANGUS at 6.22pm acting on confirmed advice of a floating incident.

OUR SPITFIRE NZ – Near the 1700 metres surrendered the lead.

AUNTY ETHAL – After showing gate speed, was unable to cross OUR SPITFIRE NZ – Near the 1800 metres was eased to a trailing position on the markers.

EURYPHAESSA – Broke gait in the score-up, a warning was issued – After showing gate speed, was three wide in the early stages - Worked forward to the lead near the 1700 metres.

GHENT – Near the 1700 metres was eased to a trailing position on the markers.

LOVELORN – Broke gait after the start, will be excluded from the barrier draw in future mobile races - Took no competitive part.

MUSCLETONIAN – From the 1700 metres worked forward and raced without cover for the remainder of the race.

RACE 5 - JIVE CAFE TROTTERS HANDICAP – 2230SS

GREAT FANTASY NZ – When questioned regarding the second sectional (29.3 secs) Driver MA Smith stated he had been instructed to run even sectionals in the manner in which the horse had trialled well but that he was surprised by the second sectional as he considered he had been in sync with the timing lights.  On reviewing the race vision the explanation was accepted.

ENROLLED – Settled leaders back – Near the 500 metres broke gait free of interference, a warning was issued - Subjected to a post-race veterinary examination, no clinical issues reported.

SKYLINE NZ – Raced without cover in the early stages and middle stages – From the 800 metres gave ground.

MILLYS MAGIC – Used the sprint lane.

RACE 6 - TAB VENUE MODE PACE – 1800MS

ALWYNE FRANCO – Settled leaders back – Used the sprint lane.

VILLAGE CHARACTER – Obtained a trail near the 1500 metres when crossed by STRAWBERRY DELIGHT – Subjected to a post-race veterinary examination, no clinical issues reported – Trainer Mrs I Smith undertook to report any post-race anomalies and advised that the horse would have a short break from racing.

BLING IT UP – From the 400 metres was obliged to improve four wide.

STRAWBERRY DELIGHT – After showing gate speed, was three wide in the early stages – Worked forward to the position outside the leader near the 1500 metres – Continued to race outside the leader.

RACE 7 - HUMMER SA TROTTERS MOBILE – 1800MS

AVEROSS DON NZ – Near the 800 metres when leading broke gait free of interference – Near the 400 metres when leading broke gait free of interference, a warning was issued – Near the 400 metres hung in and contacted markers, a warning was issued.

MEET MICHAELANGELO – Settled leaders back – Inconvenienced near the 800 metres when trailing AVEROSS DON NZ – Driver M Borg was fined $100 under Rule 156(2)(a) for using the whip with more than a wrist only flicking action.

SMART CHA CHA – Broke gait after the start, will be excluded from the barrier draw in future mobile races – Near the 300 metres when leading broke gait free of interference, a warning was issued.

BACARDI BINDI – Near the 1600 metres broke gait, a warning was issued.

ATEGO TITAN – After showing gate speed, worked forward to race outside the leader in the early and middle stages.
