The sprint lane was in operation at tonight’s event.
Trainers with multiple runners in any one race provided Stewards with their intentions prior to the event.
RACE 1 – LADBROKES OWN SPRING PACE – 1800MS
A warning placed on OIL THE FRISBEE (L Ryan) which hung outwards front straight to receive bell and in run to finish.
RACE 2 – 2024 IMPERIAL COUNT USA 2YO TROTTERS PARKER CLASSIC (HEAT 5) – 1800MS
All barrier tapes handheld.
QUICK COMET (S Pascoe) reared and contacted starting barrier pole and was a late scratching on veterinary advice. Trainer advised filly excluded from draw, stood down in standing start races until completes a satisfactory trial and stood down on veterinary advice for six days as sustained bruising under the chest.
Warnings placed on CHICAGO CRAZE (B Page), TEN EAGLES (R Hryhorec), QUEEN TRUSCOTT (K Weidenbach), REOFFENDER (W Hill) and SUNNY MAJESTY (D Smith) all of whom galloped shortly after the start.
A warning on TEN EAGLES which refused to settle and took no competitive part in the race.
A final warning placed on QUARTARARO (K Wilson) which galloped shortly after the start and twice in running.
RACE 3 – WHAT THE HILL CA @ WOODLANDS STUD TROTTERS HANDICAP – 2230MS
Stewards questioned Scott Forby (BEWARE THE FURY) as to why he had left a favourable trailing position and race without cover. He stated that the gelding is best suited by being allowed to run along and this was confirmed by the trainer Errol Johnson.
RIOTERRA (G Pullicino) slow to begin.

RACE 4 – FAST AS THE WIND USA @ WINGATE FARM TROTTERS MOBILE – 2230MS
STAR OF PATRICK (E Brechin) which galloped at the start will be excluded from the draw future mobile barrier start races.
VINAIGRETTE (W Hill) which galloped shortly after start continue to be excluded from draw.
Near the 350 Metres MOONSHINE PENNY (M Smith) veered up the track when ear plugs were released and galloped severely checking ALLEYES (S Pascoe). Warning issued.
Post-race swab from IMA DESTROYER.
A post-race veterinary examination of IMA DESTROYER revealed signs of colic and was treated by Veterinary Officer and stood down 6 days on veterinary advice.
RACE 5 – LADBROKES PACE - 1800MS
A warning placed on CLARENDEN CRUISER (W Hill) which galloped in back straight final occasion after ear plugs had been released, severely checking JUST MOCCA (K Wilson).

RACE 6 – K & S ELECTRICAL PACE – 2230MS
Final warning placed on JILLIBY MISTRESS (R Hryhorec) which hung inwards and checked LOCH LOMOND (C Johnson) on turn out of backstraight after the start.
JILLIBY MISTRESS galloped near 375Metres and severely checked MAJOR HOLIDAY (M Borg)
When questioned as to what appeared an improved performance from LOCH LOMOND trainer Chris Nicol stated a drop-in class and economical run in today’s race were significant factors.

RACE 7 – BARGAIN STEEL CENTRE PACE – 1800MS
Near the 400 Metres MAGNETIZE (J Kittel) was tightened for room by DALLAS PATRICK (R Moore) and MARTYS PARTY (J Lee) who were racing to his outside and hung inwards.
A post-race veterinary examination of ABHISHEK (T McMahon) which after racing with a trail gave ground in back straight final occasion to be beaten 73 Metres revealed no abnormalities. Trainer to advise should anything arise post-race.
RACE 8 – ECO-WISE PLUMBING GROUP PACE – 1800MS
A warning placed on CELESTIAL TOPAZ (K Weidenbach) which galloped near the 350 Metres.
RACE 9 - BIANCO REINFORCING PACE – 2230MS
No report.
RACE 10 - ARCLIGHT PHOTOGRAPHY PACE – 2230MS
Post-race veterinary examination of SEAROVER (S Kittel) which was beaten 204 metres revealed no abnormalities. Trainer advised gelding would be retired.
