The sprint lane was in operation at todays event.

Trainers with multiple runners in any one race provided Stewards with their intentions prior to the event.

RACE 1 – JOHN ROTHE VIDEO TROTTERS MOBILE – 1800MS

COUNTESS CRUSOE (D Girardi) which galloped in the score up and was out of position at the start will continue to be excluded from the draw . COUNTESS CRUSOE hung inwards near the 600 metres contacting the sulky wheel of HI HO KYVALLEY (W Hill) and galloped. A warning was issued.

HI HO KYVALLEY (W Hill) galloped entering the front straight on the final occasion and a warning was issued.

Stewards in accordance with R155(1) disqualified MAJESTIC AVENUE (D Hill) which galloped approaching the home turn final occasion and completed race in the sprint lane whilst in a break. A warning issued.

RACE 2 – MITAVITE STUDGRO PACE– 1800MS

EAGLE STRIKE (M Norman) hung inwards home turn final occasion crowding BRING MY BLING (T Borwn)  and a warning was issued.

A post race veterinary examination of APRILBETTY (C Johnson) which was beaten 126 metres revealed no abnormalities. Trainer is requested to advise should anything arise subsequent to the race. APRIL BETTY was placed on last chance to race competitively.

RACE 3 – K & S ELECTRICAL TROTTERS HANDICAP –2230SS

A warning was placed on VINAIGRETTE (K Wilson) which galloped shortly after the start and took no competitive part in the race.

MAJESTIC SUMMER (M Smith) galloped shortly after start and again in the back straight final occasion was placed on its last chance to race truly. MAJESTIC SUMMER took no competitive part in race.

A warning placed on HAYOAK (D Girardi) which galloped leaving the back straight first occasion.

A warning placed on SAINT SEBASTIAN (B Page) which galloped leaving the front straight final occasion.

RACE 4 – LADBROKES BET TICKER TROTTERS MOBILE – 2230MS

MAJESTIC LEGEND (M Harding) galloped as the start was effected and will continue to be excluded from the draw.

A warning placed on KABAYO KING (A Chapman) which galloped leaving the back straight first occasion.

THEBESTOFFICIAL (M Smith) which galloped in the front straight on two occasions will be stood down until it completes a satisfactory trial.

KABAYO KING (A Chapman)  and KYVALLEY SURFERGIRL (G Pullicino) were reinstated in the draw for future mobile barrier races.

RACE 5 – BARGAIN STEEL CENTRE PACE – 2230MS

Following heavy rain the mobile barrier was tested and handled the track conditions which were now changed to rain affected.

GOLDEN JAYLET (G Bell) was obliged to race three wide throughout despite the efforts of the driver to take the position at the head of the one out line which was held by WEMEN BELLA (M Smith).When questioned Michael Smith (WEMEN BELLA) stated that he had held his position as GOLDEN JAYLET was always under pressure to make ground around him. When questioned Gina Bell (GOLDEN JAYLET) stated that she persevered with the move as her instructions were to go forward. In hindsight she agreed it may have been the better decision to have restrained back for a position.

WEWILL HAIL CAESAR (T Martlew) was reinstated in the draw for future mobile barrier races.

RACE 6 – “THE GLOBE” VENUE STAFF BIRTHDAY CELEBRATIONS PACE – 1800MS

Stewards advised all drivers to utilise mud guards and splash sheets. Further, Stewards put all drivers on notice that when directed at future race meetings to do so, action may be taken against those who don’t comply.

CELESTIAL TOPAZ (K Weidenbach) hung outwards leaving the front straight on the final occasion however there was insufficient room for MEET ME AT THE BEACH (S Kittel) to take a run. A warning was placed on the racing manners of CELESTIAL TOPAZ.

RACE 7 – BIANCO REINFORCING PACE – 1800MS

MAJORHOLENMYPOCKET (B Page) which galloped in the score up and was out of position at the start will be excluded from the draw in future mobile barrier races.

RACE 8 – HYGAIN FIBRESSENTIAL PACE – 1800MS

RACE 9 – VISS WATER PACE – 1800MS

A false start was called when Matthew Harding, driver of BEAUDIENE ROCKNROLL, which galloped in the score up alerted the starter he was unable to steer his drive as the nearside rein had become entangled in the bit. BEAUDIENE ROCKNROLL will be excluded from the draw in future mobile barrier races.

Stewards took no action against Mathew Harding (BEAUDIENE ROCKNROLL) for whilst leading through the first half of the last mile setting a time of 65.2 seconds being outside the prescribed time of 64 seconds due to the rain affected track.

RACE 10 – LADBROKE IT! PACE – 1800MS

No claims lodged for SCOOB OPERATOR.

Reinsperson Kevin Weidenbach (PER ARDUA AD ASTRA) was advised to refrain from looking back at the conclusion of a race.

RACE 11 – SA TROTS SOUTHERN CROSS PACE – 1800MS

SPORTSFLIGHT (L Holman) which galloped shortly after the start will be excluded from the draw in future mobile barrier races.

Reinsperson Wayne Hill (COCO MIA) was fined $100 under R162(1)(y) for whilst leading through the first half of the last mile setting a time of 65.8 seconds with the prescribed time 64 seconds. In applying a penalty stewards took into account that the last half mile was run in 57.6 seconds.

COCO MIA (W Hill) shied on the home turn first occasion and veered up the track. A warning was issued.
