The sprint lane was in operation at tonights event.

Trainers with multiple runners in any one race provided Stewards with their intentions prior to the event.

RACE 1 – LADBROKE IT! PACE – 1800MS

STRAWBERRY DELIGHT (D Girardi) raced roughly near the 250 metres when three wide on the track.

ACES SHADOE ( B Page) raced roughly and lost ground prior to utilising sprint lane.

Stewards informed Gaita Pullicino (BAD BOY CARTER) and Dean Girardi (STRAWBERRY DELIGHT) to modify their whip action.

STRAWBERRY DELIGHT was reinstated in draw future mobile barrier races.

RACE 2 – HYGAIN RELEASE PACE – 2230MS

TELL A TALL STORY (K Rogers) was inclined to lay in on the home turn final occasion.

RACE 3 – CLAY AND MINERAL PACE - 1800MS

The offside sulky tyre on QUICK DAN (T Pullicino) was contacted and punctured after the winning post on the first occasion by LIETENANT JACK (S Adams) . QUICK DAN was retired from the race.

At a subsequent inquiry Shaun Adams stated that his drive was racing fiercely and he was unable to restrain it off the sulky of QUICK DAN. He felt it may have been attributable to the gear change of removing ear plugs off the gelding, thereafter LIEUTENANT JACK continued to over race. Trainer Chris Niccol was informed that LIEUTENANT JACK is stood down until it completes a satisfactory trial.

RACE 4 – ‘KING OF THE NORTH USA’ @ LLOWALONG FARMS TROTTERS HANDICAP – 2230SS

THEBESTOFFICIAL (S Pascoe) galloped shortly after the start and again in running and was placed on its last chance to race truly.

SO VOGUE (E Brechin) commenced slowly and lost ground in the early stages of the race.

A warning was placed on ALDEBARAN STILES (R Hryhorec) which galloped in the front straight first occasion.

RACE 5 – VALE JIM TUCKER PACE– 1800MS

URGOODBOY (L Ryan) hung inwards entering the back straight on the first occasion and checked MISTER FORTUNIA (T Pullicino). A warning was issued.

RACE 6  – BIANCO REINFORCING SA CONCESSION DRIVERS SERIES PACE – 1800MS

CELESTIAL TOPAZ (C Johnson) was reinstated in the draw for future mobile barrier races.

RACE 7 – VAL THOMAS TROTTERS MOBILE - 1800MS

ALDEBARAN DAHLIA (K Rogers) which galloped in the score up and trailed the field thereafter will be excluded from the draw in future mobile barrier races. A warning was also placed on ALDEBARAN DAHLIA for galloping in running. Subsequent to the race Trainer David Harding reported an x ray revealed an injury to the near fore fetlock which will require surgery and an extended recuperation period.
