RACE 1 – LADBROKE IT! PACE – 1800MS
STRAWBERRY DELIGHT (D Girardi) raced roughly near the 250 metres when three wide on the track.
ACES SHADOE ( B Page) raced roughly and lost ground prior to utilising sprint lane.
Stewards informed Gaita Pullicino (BAD BOY CARTER) and Dean Girardi (STRAWBERRY DELIGHT) to modify their whip action.
STRAWBERRY DELIGHT was reinstated in draw future mobile barrier races.
RACE 2 – HYGAIN RELEASE PACE – 2230MS
TELL A TALL STORY (K Rogers) was inclined to lay in on the home turn final occasion.
RACE 3 – CLAY AND MINERAL PACE - 1800MS
The offside sulky tyre on QUICK DAN (T Pullicino) was contacted and punctured after the winning post on the first occasion by LIETENANT JACK (S Adams) . QUICK DAN was retired from the race.
At a subsequent inquiry Shaun Adams stated that his drive was racing fiercely and he was unable to restrain it off the sulky of QUICK DAN. He felt it may have been attributable to the gear change of removing ear plugs off the gelding, thereafter LIEUTENANT JACK continued to over race. Trainer Chris Niccol was informed that LIEUTENANT JACK is stood down until it completes a satisfactory trial.
