Trainers with multiple runners in any one race provided stewards with their intentions prior to the event.
RACE 1 – IMPERIAL COUNT USA @ BELLMOURE PARK TROTTERS HANDICAP – 2230SS
DALTON – Raced roughly after the start was effected, then broke gait free of interference near the 1000 metres, a warning was issued.
IMA DESTROYER – Slow to begin and then checked and broke gait near the 1000 metres.
VINAIGRETTE – Checked near the 1000 metres when DALTON broke gait in advance of her.
TROTTENEM OKAY – Broke gait shortly after the start was effected, taking no competitive part in the race, a warning was issued.
KABAYO KING – Broke gait for a short distance near the 400 metres, a warning was issued.
PATRICIA EM – Raced roughly after the start was effected.
RACE 2 – SA CUPS NIGHT SATURDAY OCTOBER 26 PACE – 1800MS
STAR OF WILLOUGHBY – Obtained an inside run near the 500 metres when BUDDING CAESAR, who was leading the event, shifted up the track, then was tightened and contacted marker pegs, as the field entered the final turn.
BUDDING CAESAR – Had a tendency to shift up the track in the back straight on the final occasion, a warning was issued. Stewards advised driver M. Whelan that he should take all measures necessary to ensure his horse maintains its racing line, to minimise the opportunity of trailing runners to obtain a favourable run through.
UBETCHA – Had difficulty finding a clear run between the 400 metres and the 200 metres, then utilised the sprint lane when it became available and was fully tested in the final straight.
RACE 3 – LADBROKES BET TICKER PACE – 1800MS
GIANT JACKSON – Utilised the sprint lane when it became available and was fully tested in the final straight.
RACE 4 – SEYMOURE GROUP PACE – 1800MS
CHOOCHOO TRAIN – Broke gait during the score up and was out of position when the start was effected, will be drawn wide in future mobile start events. Subsequent to the event, underwent a veterinary examination at the trainer’s request and it was revealed the gelding was showing symptoms of colic. CHOOCHOO TRAIN was treated and stood down for 6 days.
MIGHTY CARSON – Stewards were advised the spreader connecting strap had become free from the shaft in the early stages of the race. Stewards found the equipment to be of good quality and directed trainer M Callick to take the necessary action to avoid a reoccurrence.
GREERS LEGACY – At the request of connections, re-instated in the mobile barrier draw.
MOST UNLIKELY – Utilised the sprint lane when it became available and was fully tested in the final straight.
RACE 5 – GLOBEDERBYPARK.COM PACE – 1800MS
MISS ARTEMIS – Broke gait free of interference, for a short distance, as the field raced through the first turn, a warning was issued.
JILLIBY CHAMBERS – Broke gait during the score up and was out of position when the start was effected, will continue be drawn wide in future mobile start events. The mare then broke gait again when trailing the field and was retired from the event, stood down until the completion of one satisfactory re-qualifying trial.
OUR ART CHRISTIAN NZ – Had difficulty finding a clear run between the 400 metres and the 200 metres but when clear was fully tested in the final straight.
RACE 6 – HYGAIN PACE – 1800MS
MAURLEN ANNIE – Driver S. Newman was reprimanded under Rule 162(1)(h) for failing to have her runner in position at despatch.
RACE 7 – LADBROKES RACING CLUB PACE – 1800MS
MAGNETIZE – Utilised the sprint lane when it became available and was fully tested in the final straight.
RACE 8 – SA BOTRA PACE – 1800MS
SNAPPER ROCKS – As per HRSA policy for horses aged 12 years or older, underwent a pre-race veterinary examination and was passed fit to run.
CELESTIAL DAYBREAK – As per HRSA policy for horses aged 12 years or older, underwent a pre-race veterinary examination and was passed fit to run.
LUV ME OR HATE ME – As per HRSA policy for horses aged 12 years or older, underwent a pre-race veterinary examination and was passed fit to run.
BARNEY FELLA – As per HRSA policy for horses aged 12 years or older, underwent a pre-race veterinary examination and was passed fit to run.
RACE 9 – ALABAR PACE – 1800MS
GLENLEA BELLA – Had difficulty finding a clear run between the 400 metres and the 200 metres but when clear was fully tested in the final straight.
WEWILL HAIL CAESAR – Driver T. Martlew was reprimanded under Rule 163(4) for trailing too close to TWO WAY WONDER and making contact with the helmet of the driver, directly in front of him, on numerous occasions for the majority of the event.
TWO WAY WONDER – Gave ground from the 500 metres to eventually be beaten 136.0 metres, a post-race veterinary examination failed to reveal any abnormalities, stood down until the completion of one satisfactory re-qualifying trial.
RACE 10 – PASTOR STEPHEN USA @ LLOWALONG FARMS PACE – 1800MS
FLAMING DIAMOND – Out of position when the start was effected, due to the fact it was the fillies first race start, Stewards elected to place FLAMING DIAMOND on its last chance in the draw. Tired over the final 400 metres to eventually be beaten 69.0 metres, after considering all circumstances, Stewards elected to take no action.
BLAZIN BELLA – Tired over the final 600 metres to eventually be beaten 66.0 metres, after considering all circumstances, Stewards elected to take no action.
LADY VEE – During the preliminary it was reported that the mare had blood in one nostril, upon initial inspection the on-course veterinarian elected to scratch LADY VEE from the event. Subsequent to the event the mare underwent a further examination and it was determined the blood in the nostril had not originated in the lungs and it was likely that it occurred from a knock to the head, consequently no stand down period was required.
