The sprint lane was in operation at tonights event.
Trainers with multiple runners in any one race provided Stewards with their intentions prior to the event.
RACE 1 – AKOUZTIK – LIVE AT THE GLOBE JUNE 30 PACE – 2230MS
MAURLEN ANNIE (S Newman) was reinstated in the draw for future mobile barrier races.
RACE 2 – LADBROKES BET TICKER PACE – 1800MS
DUFFY HOLLOW (C Johnson) hung inwards shortly after the start and when corrected, then hung outwards and broke gait. A warning was issued
RACE 3 – HAPPY 95TH BIRTHDAY DES COOPER PACE –1800MS
Reinsperson Wayne Hill (FEISTY JANE) was fined $50 under R162(1)(h) for failing to come into position at the start.
RACE 4 – EMERGING STARS PACERS SERIES (HEAT 5)– 1800MS
CALL ME SIR (W Hill) and ALIVE AND FREE (S Pascoe) were out of position at the start despite the efforts of drivers and warnings were issued.
RACE 5 – DANCINGINTHEDARK M USA @ ALDEBARAN PARK TROTTERS HANDICAP– 2645SS
GET LUCKY (M Borg) galloped for a short distance after the start and a warning was issued.
BARHOON (N Brown) and YOU REALLY GOT ME (D Hill) galloped from the barrier and took no competitive part in the race. Warnings were issued.
Reinsperson Shaun Adams (HAMMERS LAW) was reprimanded under R163(1)(b) for leaving it late when shifting three wide entering the front straight on completion of a lap and obliging XEBEC (J Holberton) to race wider on the track.
XEBEC (J Holberton) was forced wider on the track in the front straight to receive the bell as MILLYS MAGIC (D Smith) was moved three wide but was slow to make ground forward. A reprimand was issued to David Smith under R163(1)(b).
The near hind scalping boot on SUPER ANGUS (S Pascoe) dropped in running.
RACE 6 – SEYMOUR GROUP PACE – 2645MS
A false start was called when the starter inadvertently activated the false start button.
A warning was placed on BACK IN TWENTY (K Weidenbach) which shifted ground up the track in the run to the finish and inconvenienced SPY MAJOR (G Bell).
RACE 7 – SKYVALLEY NZ @ ALDEBARAN PARK TROTTERS HANDICAP– 2230SS
BUCKLES (D Smith) raced roughly shortly after the start and lost ground.
HURRICANE ED (J Kittel) utilised the sprint lane to win the race.
RACE 8 – LADBROKES BLACKBOOK PACE– 2230MS
