The sprint lane was in operation for tonights event.

Trainers with multiple runners in any one race provided Stewards with their intentions prior to the event.

RACE 1 – 2024 ALABAR SA BOTRA GOLDEN NURSERY (HEAT 1) – 1800MS

LAMBRO MACH (G Pullicino) which galloped shortly after start will be excluded from draw in future mobile barrier start races.

Reinsperson Ryan Hryhorec (ROCKIN BULL) reprimanded under R163(1)(a)(i) for when crossing JAWSOFAGOODTIME (C Johnson) entering back straight first occasion allowing minimal room. .

RACE 2 – 2024 ALABAR SA BOTRA GOLDEN NURSERY (HEAT 2) – 1800MS

A false start was called when ALWAYS DANCING (J Finnis) veered up the track contacting sulky of RUN AMUK (D Afford) which broke gait and checked IMPOSTER BOY (Samantha Pascoe).

ALWAYS DANCING excluded from draw future mobile barrier start races.

A middle hopple carrying strap on JADES HOPE became detached (R Shepherd) home turn final occasion.

DEE JAYS MISS (A Chapman) reinstated in draw future mobile barrier start races.

RACE 3 – 2024 ALABAR SA BOTRA GOLDEN NURSERY (HEAT 3) – 1800MS

TORQUE INTHEUSA (R Hryhorec) raced roughly in the score up and a warning issued. A further warning on TORQUE INTHEUSA which hung outwards in front straight first occasion and in run to finish.

ART REGAL (J Holberton) paced roughly near 300 metres when three wide on track which allowed a clear run to SHIRLEY NOT (D Billinger) and a warning issued.

RACE 4 – 2024 LADBROKES SOUTH AUSTRALIAN TROTTERS CUP (HEAT 1)– 2645SS

A warning placed on WISHING STAR (K Weidenbach) which commenced poorly.

A warning placed on XEBEC (J Holberton) which galloped front straight first occasion.

The reinsperson licence of Kevin Weidenbach (WISHING STAR) suspended for 10 days under R163(1)(b)(i) for forcing MEADOW VALLEY STAR (S Ewen) four wide after leaving back straight first occasion. In assessing penalty Stewards considered plea of guilty, previous driving record and also took into account major detrimental effect on Meadow Valley Star in the race.

When questioned as to why he drove forward in the front straight and held MEADOW VALLEY STAR out, Weidenbach stated that his drive is very much one paced and he had anticipated getting to one out line and take a trail on MEADOW VALLEY STAR, however his drive lacked the speed to take a position.

GAELIC LAD (Nicholas Brown) galloped at the start.

The nearside sulky tyre on JAZSPUR (M Bellman) deflated near the 500 metres.

A post-race veterinary examination of KEAYANG STUKA (L Cook) revealed no abnormalities. Driver Lochie Cook reported after commencing slowly with the closing sectional times the gelding was unable to make ground.

The nose band on STINGOFAWASP (S Pascoe) broke in running.

RACE 5 – 2024 LADBROKES SOUTH AUSTRALIAN TROTTERS CUP (HEAT 2) – 2645SS

All clear delayed to view the start as MILLYS MAGIC (C Johnson) reared on two occasions. Stewards were satisfied that it had been given every opportunity and all clear given. A warning placed on MILLYS MAGIC. It was noted MY USED TO BE checked after start by MILLYS MAGIC.

The start was called off at first attempt when MILLYS MAGIC reared and runners on 10 metres inconvenienced.

No action taken against ANDOVERLUV (K Weidenbach) which commenced poorly.

BLUE COMAN (K Manning) galloped near the 400 Metres when being eased off the runner it was trailing contacted its own sulky. No action taken.

Post-race veterinary examination of PHOEBE ONYX (R Hryhorec) which commenced to give ground near 450 metres revealed an elevated heart rate. Trainer to advise should anything arise on return to the stable.

RACE 6 – 2024 LADBROKES SOUTH AUSTRALIAN PACING CUP (HEAT 1) – 2645MS

IM THEMIGHTYLUCY a late scratching on veterinary advice at 9:11pm as after doing preliminary found to be sore in off foreleg. A veterinary clearance required before being eligible to race.

A warning placed on BULLETPROOF BOY (S Ewen) which galloped approaching back straight on first occasion.

A post-race veterinary examination of LORD ZARIAS (R Hryhorec) found it to be lame in off foreleg. A veterinary clearance required before being eligible to race.

HECTOR (D Hill) utilised sprint lane to win race.

RACE 7 – 2024 LADBROKES SOUTH AUSTRALIAN PACING CUP (HEAT 2) – 2645MS

RACE 8 ––  2024 KEVIN & KAY SEYMOUR SOUTH AUSTRALIAN PACING DERBY (HEAT 1) - 2230MS

A post-race veterinary examination of HARRO HILL (L Ryan) which gave ground from 600 metres to be beaten 79 metres revealed no abnormalities. Trainer to advise should anything arise post-race.

RACE 9 –  2024 KEVIN & KAY SEYMOUR SOUTH AUSTRALIAN PACING DERBY (HEAT 2) – 2230MS
