The sprint lane was in operation at todays event.

Trainers with multiple runners in any one race provided Stewards with their intentions prior to the event.

RACE 1 –BARGAIN STEEL CENTRE TROTTERS HANDICAP – 2230SS

Warnings were placed on VINAIGRETTE (K Wilson) and IRENE ROSE (T McMahon) which both galloped shortly after the start.

Warning was placed on TROTTENEM OKAY (N Brown) which galloped leaving the back straight first occasion.

Warning was placed on JANES GEM (D Smith) which galloped front straight first occasion.

A final warning was placed on POSH KYVALLEY (T Brown) which galloped entering the back straight final occasion

RACE 2 - LADBROKES BLACKBOOK PACE – 1800MS

A false start was called when JACK BRONSKI (D Smith) hung up the track in the score up and checked BRING MY BLING (T Brown). JACK BRONSKI will be excluded from the draw in future mobile barrier races.

A post race veterinary examination of JACK BRONSKI revealed it had bitten its tongue in running however required no treatment.

BRING MY BLING was reinstated in the draw for mobile barrier races.

RACE 3 –  BIANCO REINFORCING TROTTERS HANDICAP  – 2230SS

Warnings were placed on ATOUT (L O’Neill) ,HURRICANE ED (J Kittel) and WINSOME RUBY (S Grace) which all galloped shortly after the start.

AUNTY ETHAL (B Page) galloped entering the front straight final occasion and a warning was issued.

When questioned as to why he had applied pressure to the leader AUNTY ETHAL, Tony Pullicino (IMA DESTROYER) stated that he felt the front may have been available, however it kicked up and held the lead so he didn’t continue the challenge.

RACE 4 – SA BOTRA PACE – 1800MS

TUFFTIGER (B Loades) which was out of position at the start will continue out of the draw in mobile barrier races.

When questioned as to what appeared an improved performance from TASHS MATE (S Pascoe) trainer Nick Tardio stated in obtaining the lead and able to have an economical run had suited the gelding.

RACE 5 – AB AIR SERVICES PACE  – 1800MS

When questioned as to what appeared an improved performance from LUV ME OR HATE ME (L Ryan) trainer Keith Routley stated that the race was much more inferior and also it had benefited by racing with a trail in todays race. Further he had used earplugs on the gelding which had helped it race more tractably.

RACE 6 – MITAVITE STUDGRO PACE  – 1800MS

PER ARDUA AD ASTRA (N Brown) was reinstated in the draw for mobile barrier races.

RACE 7 – LADBROKES EASY FORM PACE – 1800MS

A warning was placed on PAULIS PRIDE (S Grace) which galloped leaving the front straight first occasion.

A post race veterinary examination of JONDORRO (W Hill) which had raced at the head of the one outline before giving ground near the 500 metres beaten 39 metres revealed no abnormalities.

RACE 8 – THE GLOBE BAR & GAMING PACE  – 1800MS

MEET ME AT THE BEACH (S Kittel) and WATCHTHECLOCK (C Johnson) contacted the mobile barrier arm midway through the score up and as a result BEAUDIENE ROCKNROLL (M Harding) broke gait. Both Symon Kittel and Corey Johnson were reminded of their obligations.

SUPERCHARGED (P Cavallaro) was out of position at the start and Paul Cavallaro was of the opinion when the inside horses contacted the barrier his horse reacted. SUPERCHARGED was placed on its last chance in the draw.

SUPERCHARGED hung inwards and checked OUR WANTSNNEEDS (M Borg) near the 400 metres and a warning placed on its race manners.

RACE 9 – HYGAIN DIGEST & PROTEST PACE  1800MS

Stewards reprimanded Corey Johnson (CELESTIAL ZODIAC) under R163 (1)(a)(i) for when crossing LADY LA SALLE (W Hill) entering the backstraight first occasion allowing minimal room only.

RACE 10 – BRERETON JEWELLERS PACE   1800MS
