The sprint lane was in operation for tonights event.
Trainers with multiple runners in any one race provided Stewards with their intentions prior to the event.
Late Driver Changes:
Race 1. Quick Comet. Samantha Pascoe. Race 7. Lady Vee. Wayne Hill. Replacing Kevin Weidenbach unavailable. Trainer Luke O’Neill fined $50 under R210.for failing to confirm his drivers.
RACE 1 –2024 LADBROKES 2YO TROTTERS PARKER CLASSIC (HEAT 4) – 1800SS
All barrier tapes handheld.
A warning placed on REOFFENDER (W Hill) which galloped near the winning post after the start.
Warning placed on LICKADEE SPLIT (B Loades) which galloped in back straight first occasion. Cast the off front shoe when it galloped. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities.
Warning placed on CHICAGO CRAZE (B Page) which galloped near the 450 Metres.
RACE 2 – JUBILEE ROOM OPEN FOR TAKEAWAY FOOD PACE – 1800MS
A post-race veterinary of LIL LENNY (D Hill) revealed it had sustained a fracture to the off knee. Stood down until a veterinary clearance tendered.
RACE 3 – FAST AS THE WIND NZ @ WINGATE FARM TROTTERS MOBILE – 2230MS
VINAIGRETTE (W Hill) galloped shortly after the start and will be excluded from draw future mobile start races.
TROTTENEM OKAY (T Brown) was reinstated in the draw for future mobile start races.
RACE 4 – LADBROKES BLACKBOOK PACE – 1800MS

RACE 5 – WHAT THE HILL CA @ WOODLANDS STUD TROTTERS HANDICAP – 2230SS
All barrier tapes handheld.
Warnings on SULTAN SASSY (M Smith) and JANES GEM (D Smith) both of whom commenced poorly.
Warning on SULTAN SASSY which galloped approaching front straight first occasion.
An inquiry into the reason JANES GEM galloped after entering front straight final occasion when racing to the outside of ANDOVERLOV NZ (D Hill) and GEORGY GIRL (R Hryhorec) who sustained a flat offside sulky tyre was adjourned until Sunday 20th October 2024 as Danielle Hill was attending to her injured horse LIL LENNY.
RACE 6 – DANCINGINTHEDARK M USA @ ALDEBARAN PARK TROTTERS MOBILE – 2230MS
Warning placed on ALLEYES (S Pascoe) which galloped approaching home turn final occasion.
Trainer Luke O’Neill (MAJESTIC LOVER) advised to tape the half hopple carrying straps as near side carrier became loose in running.
RACE 7 – BARGAIN STEEL CENTRE PACE – 1800MS
CHOOCHOO TRAIN was a late scratching on veterinary advice as it had a swelling in the throat which was indicative of a spider bite or allergy. Treated and Trainer Todd Weidenbach advised gelding stood down six days.
LADY VEE (W Hill) which galloped shortly after the start will be excluded from the draw future mobile start races.
RACE 8 – BIANCO REINFORCING PACE – 2230MS
Reinspersons Corey Johnson (NIGHT SPIRIT) and Jason Kittel (MAJOR MAD) both advised to modify whip action further.
RACE 9 – SEYMOUR GROUP PACE – 1800MS
No claims lodged.
RACE 10: SA CUPS NIGHT OCTOBER 26 PACE – 2230MS
The reinspersons licence of Angela Chapman (MANONTHEMOON) was suspended for 7 days under R163(1)(a)(iii) after pleading guilty to a charge of causing interference to PASSIONATE PURSUIT (M Smith) approaching 200 metres. In assessing penalty Stewards considered plea of guilt and previous excellent driving record.
Post-race veterinary examination of THISWAYTOTHEBEACH (S Pascoe) which gave ground at 600 metres to be beaten 90 metres revealed no abnormalities. Trainer to advise should anything arise subsequent to the race.
RACE 11: PAPILLO EARTHMOVERS PACE – 1800MS
The reins persons licence of Michael Smith (BARNEY FELLA) was suspended for 10 days under R168(1)(a) after pleading to guilty a charge of careless driving by crowding the racing room of GIVE US A WINK (B Loades) and ILLAWONG LORD (R Hryhorec) near the winning post after the start causing ILLAWONG LORD to check and break gait. In assessing penalty plea of guilty and previous driving record was taken into account and incident occurring first corner after the start
