RACE 1 – LADBROKES BLACKBOOK PACE – 1800MS
Prior to the all-clear driver K. Weidenbach (KATHY’S FREE) requested to view the race replays, in particular an incident that may have occurred as the sprint lane became available. After reviewing the replays K. Weidenbach (placed 2nd) lodged a protest against TRAILBLAZER (D. Hill) which was placed 1st, alleging Ms D Hill impeded his run for the sprint lane. After taking evidence from both drivers and viewing all films, Stewards could not be comfortably satisfied that Ms D Hill had impeded Mr Weidenbach’s runner and KATHYS FREE would have beaten home TRAILBLAZER and dismissed the protest accordingly, then gave the all clear on the Judges numbers 3.1.8.4.10.
