Stewards Report

Globe Derby Park Saturday 7th December 2024

The sprint lane was in operation for tonights event.

Trainers with multiple runners in any one race provided Stewards with their intentions prior to the event.

RACE 1– CHRISTMAS CELEBRATIONS AT GLOBE SUNDAY DECEMBER 8 PACE - 2230MS

IDEAL MELODY (Greg Rogers) cast off fore shoe in running.

RACE 2   HYGAIN PACE –2230MS

Reinsperson John Lee (MARTYS PARTY) was cautioned for tightening the ground of GIANT JACKSON (T Pullicino) near 400 metres. The right foot of Lee was out of sulky rest in front straight in the run to the finish whilst activating gear and he was reminded to ensure it is back in sulky rest in a timely manner.

A post-race veterinary examination of GLENLEA BELLA (R Moore) which had raced with a favourable trail before giving ground from 600 metres and beaten 141 metres revealed no abnormalities. Stewards deemed the performance unsatisfactory and advised Mr. Moore the mare is stood down pending completion of a satisfactory trial.

The near side front hopple carrying strap on GIVE US A WINK (B Loades) which had been taped became detached in running

RACE 3– O’BRIEN’S MEATS PACE 1800MS

When questioned in respect to the performance of SUGARPOVA which had led the race before giving ground to be beaten 31 metres Danielle Hill and Trainer Ryan Hryhorec were of the opinion the mare had not backed up from its run at Port Pirie on Tuesday 4th December 2024 and would now be given a brief let up.

TUFFTIGER (G Pullicino) jumped a shadow leaving the front straight after the start and raced roughly and a warning  was issued.

RACE 4 – SANTA AT GLOBE DECEMBER 21 PACE – 1800MS

TREACHEROUS ROCK (J Holberton) which galloped immediately after the start will be excluded from draw in future mobile barrier start races.

SKY FAWKES (R Hryhorec) utilised the sprint lane to win the race.

RACE 5 – 2024 LADBROKES MINOR DERBY FREE FOR ALL – 2230MS

AINTSOBAD (L Ryan) which galloped shortly after the start checking PREMONITION (Mark Norman) will be excluded from the draw in future mobile barrier start races.

A post-race veterinary examination of PREMONITION which was beaten 72 metres revealed no abnormalities. Trainer to advise should anything arise from the blood tests he would be having analysed..

RACE 6 – WHAT THE HILL CA @ WOODLANDS STUD TROTTERS MOBILE - 2230MS

SIR ED (C Johnson) utilised the sprint lane to win the race.

RACE 7– KEVIN & KAY SEYMOUR PACE - 2230MS

Reinsperson Ben Loades(LINXX) was  fined $100 under R162(1)(y) for whilst leading first half last mile setting a time of 65.3 seconds which is  outside the prescribed time of 64.

RACE 8 – 2024 LADBROKES SOUTH AUSTRALIAN TROTTERS DERBY – 2230MS

PATICIA EM (B Page) galloped shortly after the start and will be excluded from the draw future mobile barrier start races and will also be stood down until it completes a satisfactory trial as she was retired from the race. A post-race veterinary examination of the filly revealed no abnormalities.

A warning placed on EL BRAVO (W Hill) which galloped approaching the finish of race.

RACE 9 – FAST AS THE WIND USA @ WINGATE FARM TROTTERS HANDICAP – 2230SS

A warning placed on MAJESTIC TILLY (G Hurrell) which galloped approaching the finish of race.
