RACE 1 - TAB LONG MAY WE PLAY PACE - 1800MS

MAJOR MAD – Settled leaders back – Used the sprint lane.

TWIN CONNECTION – After showing gate speed, was three wide in the early stages – Restrained to the rear.

BELLA SOFIA – Near the 1600 metres was eased into a trailing position in the running line – Near the 400 metres was inconvenienced and lost its position when trailing IM THE MIGHTY JUDD.

AMORE ROCK – After showing gate speed, was three wide in the early stages – Worked forward to head the running line inside the 1600 metres.

BIEN HOA NZ – As per HRSA policy for horses aged 12 years or older, underwent a pre-race veterinary examination and was passed fit to run.

IM THE MIGHTY JUDD - Inside the 1600 metres obtained a trail when crossed by AMORE ROCK – From the 400 metres gave ground.

RACE 2 - HYGAIN MICRSPEED TROTTERS HANDICAP – 2230SS

MEET MICHAELANGELO – Raced without cover throughout.

SUPER ANGUS – From the 400 metres was held up until entering the final straight.

GREAT FANTASY NZ – Settled leaders back – Inclined to over race in the middle stages.

AUNTY ETHAL – From the 300 metres was held up prior to using the sprint lane.

MY BAD HABITS – Broke gait after the start, a warning was issued – Took no competitive part.

LOVELORN – Near the 700 metres broke gait free of interference, a warning was issued.

GHENT – Near the 700 metres was inconvenienced when trailing LOVELORN which broke gait.

RACE 3 - AUSTRALIAN DRIVERS CHAMPIONSHIP SEPTEMBER 17 PACE – 1800MS

DELIGHTFUL GNP NZ – Settled leaders back – From the 300 metres was held up prior to using the sprint lane.

STEINMAN NZ – Near the 1500 metres eased to a trailing position on the markers – From the 300 metres was unable to obtain clear running – Held up late, not fully tested.

EASY ROLLING – Near the 1300 metres obtained a trail when BLACKTOP ROCK shifted into the running line.

BAYONET SOLDIER – From the 400 metres was obliged to improve four wide on the final turn – near the 100 metres was inclined to hang in, a warning was issued.

DOUBLE O HEAVEN NZ – From the 400 metres was obliged to improve wide on the final turn.

BLACKTOP ROCK – From the 1300 metres raced without cover.

RACE 4 - TAB VENUE MODE PACE – 1800MS

SABREUR NZ – After showing gate speed, settled leaders back.

CLARENDEN ENVOY – Near the 300 metres hung in, a warning was issued.

WAITPINGA LAD – After showing gate speed, near the 1600 metres was eased into the running line – Near the 1200 metres obtained a trail when crossed by JOES A CHARACTER – Near the 300 metres was inconvenienced when briefly tightened.

JOES A CHARACTER – Was three wide in the early and middle stages – Worked forward to the position outside the leader – From the 1200 metres raced outside the leader.

RACE 5 - JIVE CAFE TROTTERS DISCRETIONARY – 2230SS

LORD CHANCELLOR – Settled leaders back – When queried regarding not attempting to improve into the sprint lane, Driver T Brown explained that entering the straight he had been confident that the horse would finish strongly so elected to improve to the outside of the leader but felt LORD CHANCELLOR which was first up didn’t finish off as strongly as strongly as he had anticipated.

ENROLLED – Raced outside the leader throughout.

EMDEEGEE NZ – Near the 2000 metres hung in, a warning was issued – From the 300 metres until entering the final straight had difficulty in obtaining clear running.

HAMMERS LAW – Slow to begin – Raced roughly briefly after the start.

MILLYS MAGIC – Over raced in the early and middle stages – From the 300 metres was held up prior to using the sprint lane.

MIRACLE RISING NZ – Near the 2000 metres was tightened for room.

The All-clear was delayed to permit Stewards to review the vision of the start.

RACE 6 - HOPKINS SADDLERY PACE – 1800MS

OHOKA AGENT NZ – Settled leaders back.

CARLY MORGAN – Near the 1700 metres was eased to the markers – Near the 1600 metres hung out, a warning was issued – From the 300 metres was held up prior to gaining clear running near the 100 metres.

ROCK TO SUCCESS – Near the 1600 metres was eased when tightened for room – Shortly after obtained a trail when crossed by STRAWBERRY DELIGHT.

STRAWBERRY DELIGHT – Driver S Pascoe was issued a reprimand for shifting ground when not having the prescribed clearance over ROCK TO SUCCESS – Was three wide in the early stages – Worked forward to head the running line inside the 1600 metres – Near the 1200 metres obtained a trail when crossed by SORRENTO – Near the 300 metres raced roughly, a warning was issued.

SORRENTO – Was three wide in the early and middle stages – Worked forward to the position outside the leader near the 1200 metres – Continued to race outside the leader – Driver G Pullicino reported that during the race SORRENTO had continued to hit its knee and became unbalanced on occasions to the extent that from the 400 metres she had concentrated solely on managing the horse and been unable to activate the deafeners or test the horse.  Trainer Mr L O’Neill explained that after trialling he had extended the hopple length but with hindsight it had affected SORRENTO’s gait and he would revert to the original length.  The Trainer was advised that SORRENTO was afforded a last chance to race truly.

RACE 7 - JOHN ROTHE VIDEO CLAIMING PACE – 2230MS

STAR WRITER – Settled leaders back – Used the sprint lane.

CANADA BAY – From the 300 metres was held up until entering the final straight.

VICTORY MEDAL NZ – Over raced in the middle stages.

JAKES SPORTWRITER – After showing gate speed, was disappointed when attempting to ease to the leaders back – Raced outside the leader throughout – Over raced in the middle stages.
