The sprint lane was in operation at tonight’s event.
Trainers with multiple runners in any one race provided Stewards with their intentions prior to the event.
RACE 1 – LADBROKES OWN SPRING PACE 1800MS
A warning placed on WESTBRO (R Moore) which galloped near winning post after start and thereafter took no competitive part.
Post-race swab from LUNCHINHEAVEN.
RACE 2 – DANCINGINTHEDARK M USA @ ALDEBARAN PARK TROTTERS HANDICAP – 2230SS
All clear was delayed to establish if BEWARE THE FURY (S Forby) had gained an advantage at the start. After viewing start Stewards and the Starter were satisfied that BEWARE THE FURY was not going forward until the barrier had been released.
The 10 Metre Tape became entangled in front leg of QUICK QUAKER (M Norman) however Norman did not believe it had any material effect.
Warnings placed on JANES GEM (D Smith) WHITE STAR WHIZZ (M Smith) JET LEGS (W Hill) and WISHING ZONE (D Hill) all of which commenced poorly.
Warnings placed on TROTTENEM OKAY (T Brown), VINAIGRETTE (K Wilson) and DREAM OVER (R Hryhorec) all of which galloped shortly after the start.
Warnings placed on WHITE STAR WHIZZ which galloped twice in running and JET LEGS which galloped home straight final occasion. Stewards were satisfied JET LEGS had not gained an advantage and gave all clear.
DREAM ABOVE cast-off hind shoe in running.
RACE 3 – HYGAIN PACE - 1800MS
RICKSHAWSHADOW (S Grace) which galloped in score up and out of position at start will be excluded from draw future mobile start events.
Approaching home turn final occasion CASH KING (C Johnson) had taken a run between STAY ANGRY (K Wilson) and Flaming Diamond (B Loades) and it was established that STAY ANGRY hung in tightening CASH KING whilst FLAMING DIAMOND had shifted marginally. The sulkies of CASH KING and FLAMING DIAMOND became locked up and were unable to be released. Stewards were satisfied that Wilson had exercised reasonable care in the circumstances and a warning placed on race manners of STAY ANGRY.
A warning placed on FLAMING DIAMOND which hung inwards various stages and raced inside marker peg approaching home turn.
RACE 4 - WHAT THE HILL CA @ WOODLANDS STUD TROTTERS MOBILE – 1800MS
RIOTERRA (T Pullicino) which was excluded from draw at Globe Derby Park on Saturday 2nd November 2024 started extreme outside of front line.
SPOTLIGHT (S Kittel) which galloped in score up and was out of position at start, excluded from draw in mobile barrier start races.
THE CLIPPER (J Kittel) which galloped shortly after the start and took no competitive part in race, will be excluded from draw in mobile barrier start races.
The breastplate on ANDOVERLOV (D Hill) became detached near winning post lap to run and gelding galloped. Gear inspected and found to be of good quality.
The earplugs on OUR SPITFIRE (N Brown) were unable to be released when cord broke.
Reinsperson Tony Pullicino (RIOTERRA) fined $100 under R163 (1)(b)(i) forcing BUCKLES (D Smith) to race wider prior to designated marker peg.
RACE 5 – SEYMOUR GROUP PACE – 1800MS
A post-race veterinary examination of OH SWEET CREATURE (B Page) which was beaten 81 Metres revealed slow recovery with elevated heart rate. Trainer to advise should anything arise post-race.
RACE 6 THE TACK ROOM PACE – 2230MS
EURO BEAT (D Girardi) hung inwards leaving backstraight first occasion contacting and dislodging a marker peg.
HES ALL TORQUE (D Hill) reinstated in draw for mobile barrier start races.
RACE 7 – BECOME A MEMBER OF GLOBE DERBY PACE – 1800MS
The nearside sulky wheel of MISCHIEVOUS MAGGIE (W Hill) and offside wheel SCOOB OPERATOR (L Ryan) bumped near 100 Metres
RACE 8 – SOUTHERN CROSS HEATS NOVEMBER 23 PACE - 1800MS
Reinsperson Samantha Pascoe (ALIVE AND FREE) reprimanded under R168 (1) (a) for contacting nearside sulky wheel of CHRISLYNN (W Hill) near 600 Metres when moving three wide.
RACE 9 – LADBROKES PACE – 1800MS
Reinsperson Dean Girardi (SWAFFHAM JACK) to modify whip action and always ensure his foot remains fully in stirrup rest.
RACE 10 – PAPILLO EARTHMOVERS PACE – 1800MS
MAGNETIZE (J Kittel) was retired from race in back straight first occasion after crupper attachment became detached. Gear inspected, of good quality and Trainer advised to tape in future.
Reinsperson Samantha Pascoe (MIXED MESSAGES) fined $100 under R156 (4)(a) continuous use of the whip in concluding stages.
RACE 11 – HAPPY 50TH WEDDING ANNIVERSARY SUZANNE & STEPHEN GRACE PACE – 1800MS
Field turned away from barrier when GLOBAL GEM (S Pascoe) lugging pole was caught on shaft of the sulky
