RACE 1 – HES WATCHING @ TIPPERARY EQUINE PACE – 1740 metres

 

HILLY– Driver J Kahlefeldt who could not fulfil his commitments to drive at the meeting due to injury, was advised that he would be required to provide a medical certificate of fitness prior to his next race drive. P McRae was the replacement Driver.

MAJOR MONTY NZ – Raced three wide from the start before working forward to take over the lead from I AM THE TORNADO leaving the 1200 metres. Locked wheels with NO RUSHING near 200 metres.

ISNT THAT RIGHT– Pre-race swab sampled.

HOLD BACK THE RIVER NZ – Checked and raced roughly near the 200 metres when MAJOR MONTY NZ and NO RUSHING locked wheels.

WHITE STAR PEEJAY– Out of position at the start. Driver A Richardson was fined $50 under Rule 162(1)(h) for failing to bring the geldingup into position behind the barrier at the start. Raced three wide from the start before working forward to take up the position outside the leader near the 1200 metres. Post-race swab sampled.

NO RUSHING – Hung-in when racing in restricted room to the inside of ISNTTHATRIGHT and locked wheels with MAJOR MONTY NZ near the 200 metres, and had to be checked.

 

RACE 2 – STEEL SUPPLIES PACE – 1740 metres

 

BART MAGUIRE– Post-race swab sampled.

FLANEUR – Examined by the Club Veterinarian prior to the race, as it has had over 200 race starts, and cleared to start.

GUY LOOKS GOOD – Hung-out under pressure in the home straight, for which a warning was issued.

NO MORE PROMISES– Due to Driver J Kahlefeldt being unable to drive, S Hewitt was the replacement Driver.

LONDON LADY – Raced three wide from the start before working forward to take up the position outside the leader leaving the 1400 metres.

GRACENAVA– Pre-race swab sampled.

 

RACE 3 – HARNESS TRADING RING AUSTRALIA PACE – 1740 metres

 

SHELDON ROCK – Held up for clear running rounding the home turn.

SHEZA CRACKER– Due to Driver J Kahlefeldt being unable to drive, P McRae was the replacement Driver. Post-race swab sampled.

OUR MODERN MINNIE – Pre-race swab sampled.

 

RACE 4 – RUNNERS RELIEF PACE – 2270 metres

 

ERNESTO – Tired over the concluding stages for which a warning was issued.

ROCK THE NATION NZ– Pre-race swab sampled. Hung-out under pressure near the 200 metres.

SCOTTIE MACH– Obtained a run to the inside of ROCK THE NATION NZ near the 200 metres, when that runner hung-out. Post-race swab sampled.

WARRADERRY – Hung-out during the latter part of the score-up.

 

RACE 5 – FOLLOW THE STARS @ MEDOWIE LODGE PACE – 1740 metres

 

LESLEIGH– Pre-race swab sampled. Held up for clear running until near the 100 metres.

METALLICA MAN– Worked forward to take over the lead from DEBRA JEAN leaving the 1400 metres. Post-race swab sampled.

ANYONEWILLDO– Stewards accepted the explanation tendered by Trainer B Hogan for the late declaration of Driver for the gelding.

 

RACE 6 – HAPPY 30^TH BIRTHDAY TANYA HARDWICK PACE – 1740 metres

 

BUNDLE OF NOTES– Pre-race swab sampled.

ZENXENA– Post-race swab sampled.

ESCAPE ARTIST – Made a three wide mid race move to take over the position outside the leader near the 1000 metres. Placed back in the draw for future mobile start races.

ALBERIO – Declared a late scratching at 12.03pm after Stewards received advice from Trainer D Cernovskis that he was unable to load the gelding on to his float.

 

RACE 7 – VILLAGE JOLT @ LOCHEND STUD PACE – 2270 metres

 

BLAZING HOME NZ– Hung-in under pressure upon entering the home straight and over the concluding stages. Post-race swab sampled.

MIAMI SURF – Had a tendency to over-race during the middle stages of the event.

RUSTY EL– Pre-race swab sampled. Broke gait during the score-up and was out of position at the start, for which a warning was issued.

DUST TO DIAMONDS – Had a tendency to over-race during the middle stages of the event.

 

RACE 8 – WARATAH HEAT – 1740 metres

 

ALLY ROGAN – Had a tendency to over-race during the middle stages of the event.

KEAYANG TREASURE– Pre-race swab sampled. Worked forward to take over the lead from ULAANBAATAR near the 1200 metres. Commenced to lose ground from near the 400 metres and was beaten by a considerable margin. A post-race Veterinary examination revealed the mare to be suffering atrial fibrillation. Connections were advised that it would be stood down from racing for 14 days, that they would be required to provide a Veterinary certificate of fitness,which would need to include the results of an ECG and it would be required to perform a re-qualifying trial prior to resuming racing.

BEAU STEELE– Post-race swab sampled.

THAT LUVIN FEELIN – Broke gait free of interference entering the first turn and again approaching the 600 metres, given the gelding’s record connections were advised that it would be stood down from racing for a period of 14 days and would be required to perform 2 re-qualifying trials.

NOTMUCHUPTOP – Inconvenienced approaching the 1400 metres when THAT LUVIN FEELIN broke gait.

LIZZADRO – Out of position at the start, for which a warning was issued. Inconvenienced approaching the 1400 metres when THAT LUVIN FEELIN broke gait.

 

RACE 9 – TAB LONG MAY WE PLAY PACE – 1740 metres

 

SCHIAVONE NZ – Hung-in under pressure in the home straight.

HERITAGE LADY– Pre-race swab sampled. Post-race swab sampled.

FIRE AND SWORD– Made a three wide mid race move to take over the position outside the leader approaching the 1000 metres.
