RACE 1 – DOWNLOAD THE TAB APP TODAY PACE – 1740 metres

FIANO– Pre-Race blood sample. Post-race swab sample.

MISS PIPPA– Back in the mobile barrier draw.

RACE 2 – H FRANCIS & CO. 3YO PACE – 1740 metres

ABSOLUTELY STOKED – Stewards questioned Driver Peter McRae with regards to the tactics adopted over the final 300 metres of the event which resulted in the filly being held up in the home straight and not fully tested. Mr McRae advised Stewards the filly was locked onto the near side lugging pole upon entry to the home straight and was slow to respond to his urgings to steer down the track to the inside of ARTISTIC ANNA and improve into the sprint lane. Mr McRae further advised he has recommended to Trainer David White that gear alterations be made prior to the filly’s next start. After considering the explanation provided by Mr McRae, Stewards determined to note his comments however a warning was placed on the filly as a result of its racing manners.

PIRATES MAGIC- Hung in under pressure in the home straight. After considering the racing record of the gelding, a warning was issued.

OUTRAGEOUS REBEL– Caught racing three wide in the early stages of the event before working forward to the lead passing the 1300 metres. Post-race blood sample.

RENROW LAD– Pre-race blood sample.

RACE 3 – HAPPY 50TH TANYA JERRICK 2YO PACE – 1740 metres

SPLASH ATTAQUE – Broke after the start. After considering the recent record of the filly, it will be placed outside the mobile barrier draw.

WHIRILY MAURZ- Trainer James Rattray was fined $50 under Rule 268A(1) for failing to lodge a gear notification for the filly.

LOUIS THE LEGEND– Broke after the start. After considering the recent record of the gelding, it was placed outside the mobile barrier draw. Raced greenly at various stages throughout the event.

ACHY BREAKY ART– Raced roughly after the start. Worked forward to the lead passing the 1400 metres. Post-race swab sample.

ANGELIC ATTITUDE– Stewards questioned Driver Will Rixon with regards to the tactics adopted during the middle stages of the event, in particular his decision to challenge for the lead rather than taking cover from RONNIE THE HAMMER, in addition to the overall performance of the filly which finished in 8th placing beaten 20 metres. Mr Rixon advised Stewards he was unaware that RONNIE THE HAMMER had commenced to improve three wide upon entering the home straight on the first occasion as his focus was on the leader which appeared to be racing greenly and being urged by Cameron Hart. Mr Rixon further advised as a result of the racing manners of ACHY BREAKY ART he commenced a challenge for the lead at which point the leader improved to his inside and he ceased the challenge. Mr Rixon explained he was disappointed in the performance of the filly despite being forced to race without cover but was unable to further explain the performance. After considering the explanation provided by Mr Rixon, Stewards noted his comments.

RONNIE THE HAMMER– Pre-race blood sample. Driver David Moran was fined $50 under Rule 162(1)(h) for failing to have the colt in position at the start of the event. Improved three wide passing the 1300 metres until obtaining a position in the running line at the 1100 metres.

RACE 4 – WARRAWEE NEEDY @YIRRIBEE PACING STUD PACE – 1740 metres

TUKAHA– Post-race swab sample.

OLE CHESTER– Improved three wide from the 1300 metres until obtaining the position outside the leader passing the 1050 metres.

DEE TERROR– Caught racing wide in the early stages of the event until obtaining the position outside the leader passing the 1300 metres.

REAL IMAGE– Caught racing wide in the early stages of the event before restraining to the tail of the field passing the 1300 metres.

BARKWAY DAVE- Tired over the final 800 metres of the event to finish in 10th placing beaten 96 metres. After considering the recent record of the gelding, it was stood down until the completion of one requalifying trial.

ASK THE EIGHT BALL– Examined prior to and following the event as the colt had not raced in the previous 12 months. No abnormalities were detected on either examination.  Pre-race blood sample. Back in the mobile draw.

RACE 5 – HARNESS TRADING RING AUSTRALIA PACE – 1740 metres

ALTA WILLIAM – Post-race swab sample.

WILLS WAY– Pre-race blood sample.

BETTORS MOON– Caught racing three wide in the early stages of the event before working forward to a position outside the leader passing the 1300 metres. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no obvious abnormalities.

RACE 6 – HARVEY’S MOWER & CHAINSAW PACE – 1740 metres

BRACKEN WARRIOR – Post-race swab sample.

HURRIKANE DUDE– Worked forward to the lead passing the 1300 metres.

DIDSHEDOIT NZ– Pre-race blood sample.

FIFTYSHADESOFHAY NZ– Broke stride in the early stages of the score up. After considering the recent record of the mare, a warning was issued. Caught racing three wide during the early stages of the event before working forward to a position outside the leader passing the 1100 metres.

RACE 7 – RANVET PACE – 1740 metres

KEAYANG LADYBUG – Pre-race blood sample.

DONNIE MAC– Locked wheels momentarily with OUR REBEL YELL rounding the home turn inconveniencing CONSIDER IT DONE.

HEZ HARRYWHO– Caught racing three wide in the early stages before working forward to the lead passing the 1200 metres.

OUR REBEL YELL– Caught racing four wide in the early stages before working forward to the position outside the lead passing the 1000 metres. Locked wheels with DONNIE MAC momentarily rounding the home turn and inconvenienced CONSIDER IT DONE.

DUN ME UP FRANCY– Held up in the home straight and was not fully tested.

ROCK THE NATION NZ– Held up in the early stages of the home straight before gaining clear running passing the 100 metres.

MANGOD OF THUNDER NZ– Post-race swab sample.

CONSIDER IT DONE– Inconvenienced rounding the home turn when DONNIE MAC and OUR REBEL YELL locked wheels. Driver Taylah Osmond was reprimanded under Rule 168(1)(a) for careless driving, in that rounding the final turn she continued to drive her runner forward whilst in restricted room and raced up onto the back of DONNIE MAC. Held up in the home straight and not fully tested.

RACE 8 – HILLS MOTOR GROUP PACE – 1740 metres

JOYCIES LAD– Worked forward to the lead approaching the 1200 metres.

MORE GOODA NZ– Post-race swab sample.

AZOR AHAI NZ– Caught racing three wide in the early stages before working forward to the position outside the leader passing the 1050 metres.

CAPTAIN TOM- Caught racing three wide in the early stages before working forward to the position outside the leader passing the 1200 metres. Held up in the home straight and not fully tested.

KETO NZ– Pre-race blood sample. Broke stride in the middle stages of the score up and was out of position at the start. After considering the recent record of the gelding, it will continue to be placed outside the mobile barrier draw.
