RACE 1 – YIRRIBEE PACING STUD PACE – 1740 metres
TERROROAN – Pre-race swab & Post-race swab. Driver Jack Laugher was issued a reprimand for allowing his upper body to protrude outside the confines of the sulky inside the final 200m.
SIGNOR JUJON – Began badly as the start was effected and will now be excluded from the barrier draw in future mobile start events. In taking this action stewards were mindful the gelding was issued a warning three (3) starts prior for displaying similar barrier manners.
GLAMOUR SYMBOL – Underwent pre and post-race veterinary examinations due to the mare having started in excess of 200 starts. Neither examination revealed any significant abnormalities.
RACE 2 – DOWNLOAD THE TAB APP TODAY PACE – 1740 metres
SPREAD THE FEAR –Pre-race swab.
CORTEZ – Post-race swab.
LOUIS THE LEGEND – ($18.00) Trainer/driver Stephen Maguire was queried into the tactics adopted upon the gelding in particular his decision during the early & middle stages of the event when racing three (3) wide & his decision to maintain that position throughout the event & if he gave consideration to direct the gelding to a rearward position. Mr Maguire advised it was intentions to restrain after the start to obtain a running line position however when entering the first turn the gelding commence to race keenly and was mindful not to restrain the gelding too any degree as LOUIS THE LEGEND can become unbalanced in its gait. Mr Maguire explained approaching the 1300m he elected to progress forward as he was aware the first four (4) runners following the leader were all along the marker line and SPREAD THE FEAR which was the first horse in the running line was being restrained for cover as he commenced forward LOUIS THE LEGEND was inconvenienced when FULLOFFIGHT NZ shifted out abruptly passing the 1300m, Mr Maguire added he continued with his forward move however passing the 1200m CLARE FAVOURITE NZ & KRISTYGIRL which were racing along the marker line were both directed up the track into a running line position at which point Mr Maguire felt he would not be able to obtain the forward position without placing further undue pressure upon LOUIS THE LEGEND & the leaders and therefore took hold of the gelding to allow the gelding some respite. After viewing the available replays along with the comments of Mr Maguire which were confirmed stewards felt the tactics adopted were not unreasonable in the circumstances and took the matter no further. A post-race veterinary examination failed to reveal any abnormalities. Back in the mobile draw.
HIJACK NZ – Inconvenienced passing the 1300m when FULLOFFIGHT NZ shifted outwards. Back in the mobile draw.
CLARE FAVOURITE NZ – Underwent a post-race veterinary examination at the request of Trainer Rebecca Bartly which reveal the mare to have a small laceration on the off fore knee. CLARE FAVOURITE NZ received precautionary treatment on course and was stood down from racing for a period of six (6) days.
FULLOFFIGHT NZ – Shifted outwards passing the 1300m inconveniencing LOUIS THE LEGEND.
RACE 3– NUTRIENEQUINE.COM.AU PACE –1740 metres
ONE HORN BILLY – Held up during the early stages of the home straight.
RAGING ON NZ – Pre-race swab.
MOP NZ – Post-race swab.
RACE 4– PREMIUM PUNTER LADYSHIP PACE –1740 metres
SHOOBEES CHARM – Trainer Jake Stockton was directed SHOOBEES CHARM would be detained on course for a post-race blood sample to be obtained three (3) hours subsequent to the event.Post-race swab.
THE TALK – Pre-race swab.
KATHYS FREE – ($6.50) Driver Jack Laugher was queried into the overall performance of the mare which finished in 6th position beaten 7.9m. Mr Laugher attributed the performance to the consisted speed throughout the event with a quick mile rate of 1.53.3 which was the main factor to the mare’s performance.
RACE 5 – RIVERINA CRANE SERVICES PACE – 1740 metres
LEAVEMEOUT –Driver Harrison Ross was issued a reprimand for talking during the early stages of the score up.

RACE 6 – RIVERINA HOTEL PACE – 1740 metre
UNIT FORTY ONE – Post-race swab.
LESSISMORE – Pre-race swab.
RACE 7 – RIVERINA PUMPS PACE – 2270 metre
VINCE LOMBARDI NZ – Raced roughly entering the first turn.
SIRLOU– Pre-race swab & Post-race swab.
BULLETIN – ($16.00) Driver Blake Micallef was queried into the overall performance of the gelding which finished in 7th position beaten 36.2m after racing in a favourable running line position. Mr Micallef advised he had to direct the gelding wider than expected passing the 600m due to the runner in advanced commencing to give ground shortly afterwards BULLETIN commenced to hang inwards and failed to run on over the concluding stages. Trainer Russell Campbell advised the gelding to be disappointing and may have come to end of its preparation and BULLETIN would now be spelled. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the gelding displaying a slow post-race recovery.
VILLAGE AREA – Broke gait during the early stages of the score up and was out of position when the start was effected. A warning was issued against VILLAGE AREA barrier manners. Took no competitive part in the event.
SUGAR COAT ME NZ – ($15.00) Driver Blake Jones was queried into the seemingly poor performance of the gelding which finished in 9th position beaten 38.4m after racing three (3) back along the marker line for majority of the event. Mr Jones advised the gelding to be disappointing over the concluding stages and contributed the performance to a combination of exerting the gelding during the early stages of the event to hold a forward position in a quick lead time plus the fast overall mile rate of 1.53.7 for the longer distance of 2270m & SUGAR COAT ME NZ being first up since 1st November and would derive benefit from the event. A post-race veterinary examination failed to reveal any abnormalities.
RACE 8 – RIVERINA SIGNMAKERS PACE – 1740 metre
General: Prior to the start was effected the mobile barrier lost all acceleration at the candy pole resulting in all runners on the front row & second row being checked to varying degrees prior to the barrier arms retracting in shortly afterwards. All drivers took immediate restraint of their runners and pulled up.
MIGHTY FLYING ART NZ, JUST ROLLYOUROWN NZ & MONGIANA underwent a pre-race veterinary examination at the start after making contact to the barrier arm prior to it retracting. All runners were passed fit to start.
Prior to the start at the second attempt the mobile barrier was retested and was pass suitable for use.
The start of this event was delayed six (6) minutes.
MIGHTY FLYING ART NZ – Underwent a pre-race veterinary examination after making contact with the mobile barrier arm. Passed fit to start.No claims lodged. Post-race swab.
JUST ROLLYOUROWN NZ – Underwent a pre-race veterinary examination after making contact with the mobile barrier arm. Passed fit to start.
HERE COMES BOBBY– Held up and failed to gain clear running for the entire length of the home straight.
MONGIANA – Underwent a pre-race veterinary examination after making contact with the mobile barrier arm. Passed fit to start.
SKITTLE BOMB NZ – Pre-race swab.
OZZIE PUNTA – Began badly as the start was effected at the second attempt. Stewards refrained taking any action against the gelding due the mobile barrier failure at the first attempt and the extended delay.
HES CHARLIES ANGEL –Underwent a post-race veterinary examination due to the gelding being engaged to race the following evening at Melton. Which revealed no significant abnormalities.
