RACE 1 – THE TAB APP PACE – 1740 metres

 

JORGE STREET– Pre-race swab sampled. Post-race swab sampled.

HIGHLANDS WARRIOR – Over-raced during the middle stages of the event.

OUTRAGEOUS REBEL – Raced three wide from the start before working forward to take up the position outside the leader near the 1000 metres. Had its number 2 hopple carrying strap come undone near the 1200 metres, given they appeared to have been fastened to the expected standard, no action was deemed necessary.

OUR STRATEGIC MISS– Over-raced during the middle stages of the event.

 

RACE 2 – CATTLEWASH @ YIRRIBEE PACING STUD PACE – 1740 metres

 

MISS HERMES– Post-race swab sampled.

THE BANKER NZ – Pre-race swab sampled. Worked forward to take over the lead from TIGER CHEDDAR leaving the 1400 metres.

ACHERON – Raced three wide from the start before working forward to take up the position outside the leader leaving the 1400 metres. Hung-out under pressure in the home straight, for which a warning was issued.

HILLY – Examined by the Club Veterinarian prior to the race, as it has had over 200 race starts, and cleared to start.

FIFTYSHADESOFHAY NZ – Broke gait during the score-up and was out of position at the start, connections were advised that it would continue to be placed outside the draw in mobile start races.

 

RACE 3 – MILBRAE QUARRIES PACE – 1740 metres

 

EVA WARATAH – Stewards accepted the explanation tendered by Trainer B Harpley for the late declaration of Driver for the filly. Raced three wide from the start before working forward to take up the position outside the leader leaving the 1400 metres. Over-raced during the middle stages of the event.

LEWENDON – Held up for clear running for the majority of the home straight.

WAZOWSKI – Raced three wide from the start before working forward to take over the position outside the leader leaving the 1000 metres.

KNOCK OUT NZ – Pre-race swab sampled. Post-race swab sampled.

 

RACE 4 – TASCO PETROLEUM PACE – 1740 metres

 

WILD BULL NZ– Pre-race swab sampled. Post-race swab sampled.

DEE TERROR – Raced three wide from the start before working forward to take over the position outside the leader leaving the 1400 metres.

FLEUR BELLA– Held up for clear running until approaching the 100 metres.

TUKURUA – Trainer N Hargraves was fined $50 under Rule 210 for not declaring a Driver for the mare by the required time. Raced three wide from the start before working forward to take over the position outside the leader leaving the 1200 metres.

 

RACE 5 – WALSH & BLAIR 3YO PACE – 1740 metres

 

DEE JAY TWENTY– Tired over the concluding stages and was beaten by a considerable margin. A post-race Veterinary examination revealed no significant abnormalities, although the gelding did have a slower than normal post-race recovery. Connections were advised the gelding would be required to perform a re-qualifying trial.

GINGANING – Tired over the concluding stages for which a warning was issued. Trainer/Driver D Kenna stated that he was disappointed with its run. He added that he had made some gear changes following its last start when it hit its knee, and that was successful to an extent, although it did make slight contact in today’s race and felt that may have had an effect om the gelding.

SYENITE – Raced fiercely during the middle stages of the event, for which a warning was issued. While over-racing worked forward to take over the lead from RENROW LAD near the 800 metres.

SIGNIFICANT LAZ– Pre-race swab sampled. Post-race swab sampled.

STARS ABROAD– Caught racing three wide from the start before being restrained to take up a position on the marker pegs at the rear of the field approaching the 1200 metres. Inconvenienced behind the tiring DEE JAY TWENTY leaving the 600 metres. Raced roughly momentarily near the 200 metres when pushed wider by YANKEE BABE. Held up for clear running over the final 100 metres of the race.

 

RACE 6 – WOODLANDS STUD PACE – 1740 metres

 

KEEPERS IDEAL NZ – Over-raced during the middle stages of the event.

MONTGOMERY BURNS NZ– Made a three wide mid race move to take over the position outside the leader leaving the 1200 metres. Post-race swab sampled.

I DIDNT KNOW THAT NZ – Held up for clear running rounding the home turn and for the majority of the home straight.

SURPRISE LANDING– Pre-race swab sampled.

 

RACE 7 – BOOTS CIVIL PACE – 2270 metres

 

TICK A LOCH– Driver B Harpley was fined the sum of $200 under Rule 156(2)(a) for using his whip with an action that was more than a wrist only flicking motion in the home straight. Post-race swab sampled.

DUN ME UP FANCY – Made a three wide mid race move to take over the position outside the leader approaching the 1000 metres.

CARBINEER – Raced three wide from the start before working forward to take up the position outside the leader near the 1600 metres.

THE TALK – Held up for clear running until near the 100 metres.

DRAGON TATTOO NZ– Pre-race swab sampled. Over-raced during the middle stages of the event.

 

RACE 8 – HYGAIN.COM.AU PACE – 1740 metres

 

GOD BLESS YOU– Post-race swab sampled.

HELLO I TEA– Pre-race swab sampled.

THEVICEPRESIDENT – Broke gait free of interference while leading near the 400 metres, given the gelding’s record connections were advised that it would be required to perform a re-qualifying trial.

HARPERVILLE – Raced three wide from the start before working forward to take up the position outside the leader near the 1200 metres.

SHEZ THE REASON– Raced three wide from the start with cover behind HARPERVILLE until near the 1200 metres, and then three wide without cover until working forward to obtain the position outside the leader near the 1000 metres.
