Trainers with multiple runners in a race advised Stewards of intended tactics.

Sprint lane in operation tonight’s meeting.

RACE  1 – TASMANIAN HORSE TRANSPORT PACE - 1609M MS

All clear delayed to allow T. Rattray (PIROTIC) view photo print of finish. After viewing photo all clear given.

A warning was placed on GRAHJIL (J. Chibnall) which raced greenly at various stages of race.

A warning placed on SHEZ ALL HEART (J. Watson) which galloped near 300 Metres and checked GRAHJIL.

RACE 2 –DOWNBYTHESEASIDE @ WOODLANDS STUD PACE - 1609M MS

The lugging pole on SOUTHERN LUCK (C. Salter) broke in latter stages of score up. Gear inspected and of average quality and trainer D. Malone advised it must be replaced.

RACE 3 – TYPEFACE PACE – 2090M SS

KENYA (L. Older), THE VIXEN (T. Ford) and KIAVINO STRIDE (H. Van Dongen) all commenced poorly and placed on last chance in draw.

JUST FOLLOW ME (D. Ford) contacted marker peg when entering sprint lane.

Reins person B. Davis (MAJOR DAVVIN) advised that he was using whip with overt force and must modify his action further. R 156 (2) (b) (iii).

RACE 4 –AUSTRALIAN DRIVERS CHAMPIONSHIP 21 DECEMBER PACE - 2090M MS

SPORSTZSILK (L. Older) utilized sprint lane to win race.

RACE 5 –LADBROKES POPULAR S R M PACE -1609M MS

RAGING ON (L. Older) which paced roughly at various stages and then galloped in back straight final occasion stood down until completes a satisfactory trial.

RACE 6 –LADBROKES BIG BETS PACE - 2090M MS

LIFEINTHEBALANCE (J. Chibnall) which galloped at start took no competitive part in race will be excluded from draw mobile barrier start races.

RACE 7 –FEHLBERGS PRODUCE SPRINTLANE PACE - 1609M MS

Stewards reprimanded J. Watson (OH NO NEVER AGAIN) for allowing his drive to shift ground up the track over concluding stages of the race. R 162 (1) (ww).

Reins person H. Van Dongen (QUEENOFDANCE) was also reminded to correct her drives when they shift ground as it shifted ground over concluding stages of the race.

SMOOTH DEAL (M. Yole) utilized sprint lane to win the race.

RACE 8 – LATHER UP @ WOODLANDS STUD PACE – 2090M MS

All clear delayed to allow D. Ford (GOODTIME OSCAR) placed 5th to view film as he believed BINALONG BAY (R. Ashwood) had taken a run to his inside where there was insufficient room. After viewing film, he gave all clear. Stewards were of the opinion Ashwood was entitled to take the run as Ford was not fully trailing the leader JILLIBY JAY SEA (T. Ford) as that horse was racing off the pegs. Stewards were satisfied that although BINALONG BAY did go inside a peg as GOODTIME OSCAR held him tight it did not justify any action.

Reins person T. Ford fined $100 for continuous use of the whip over concluding stages. R 156 (4) (a).
