STEWARDS REPORT

RACE 1  –  PRYDES EASIFEED DYNAMO PACE  –  1120m  Mobile

LOU LOUS ALLGOLD – Utilised the sprint lane in the run to the finish

General: Driver T Ford was fined $200 for using her whip in an unapproved manner [AHR Rule 156(2)(a)].

RACE 2  –  LADBROKES RACING CLUB DYNAMO PACE  –  1120m  Mobile

CLIFFHANGER – Redrawn to start from barrier two due to an administrative error.

RACE 3  –  INTERSPORT HOBART DYNAMO PACE  –  1120m  Mobile

SCRUB BASHER – Tended to race on the inside rein after the start, shifted in on entering the first turn resulting in its sulky wheel striking a marker.

OUR ARABELLA – Shifted in in the latter stages of the final turn resulting in its sulky wheel striking a marker.

RACE 4  –  MORE CONFIDENCE CONSULTING DYNAMO PACE  – 1120m  Mobile

MISS COLLANN – Sulky wheel struck approaching the first turn.

QUEENOFDANCE NZ – Contacted the off-side sulky wheel of MISS COLLANN approaching the first turn when easing to trail that filly.

General: Driver H VanDongen was fined $100 due to careless manner she shifted ground with QUEENOFDANCE NZ which resulted in that mare striking the sulky wheel of MISS COLLANN approaching the first turn [AHR Rule 168(1)(a)].

RACE 5  – FEHLBERGS PRODUCE DYNAMO PACE  –  1120m  Mobile

No Racing Incidents

RACE 6  –  TASRACING DYNAMO PACE  –  1120m  Mobile

RESURGENT WARRIOR – Raced rough entering the final turn. Utilised the sprint lane in the run to the finish.

TALK IS CHEAP – Shifted out under pressure in the run to the finish.

FIVE STAR SHARK – Raced rough after the start.

SMOOTH DEAL NZ – Had difficulty in securing clear running in the run to the finish.

RACE 7  –  CAVALOR EQUICARE DYNAMO PACE  –  1120m  Mobile

TWO SOCK CREEK NZ – Sulky wheel struck final marker before entering sprint lane. Utilised the sprint lane in the run to the finish.

General: Driver J Duggan was reprimanded for shifting in on entering the sprint lane for the run to the finish [AHR Rule 163(1)(c)(ii)].

RACE 8  –  TASMANIAN HORSE TRANSPORT DYNAMO PACE  –  1120m  Mobile

ROYAL APPOINTMENT – Placed on its last chance to race truly after breaking gait, free of interference, near the 600. Shifted in, resulting in its sulky wheel striking markers late on the final turn.

General: Driver G Rattray was reprimanded for shifting in on the final turn resulting in his sulky wheel striking markers [AHR Rule 163(1)(c)(ii)].

RACE 9  –  RACING CONNECT DYNAMO PACE  –  1120m  Mobile

MODERN JIVE – Shifted out on straightening which contributed to the gelding being checked and locking wheels approaching the 100. This movement combined with YAPPAS COURAGE shifting in  resulted in driver Van dongen being dislodged from her sulky seat onto the sulky shaft.

YAPPAS COURAGE – Held up rounding the final turn and on straightening began to hang in, bringing it down the track toward MODERN JIVE, resulting in a locking of wheels. It was noted on disengaging sulky wheels, YAPPAS COURAGE contacted the sulky of MODERN JIVE which caused driver Van dongen to be dislodged from her sulky seat.

General: Stewards questioned driver H Van dongen and N Ford over the incident racing toward the 100. At the inquiry it was established the combined movement of both horses contributed to the locking of wheels. Stewards took no action against driver nor horse but instructed driver Ford in similar circumstances he needs to show more care.
