RACE 1 – SUBWAY SOUTHERN TASMANIA EVICUS HEAT ONE– 1609 METRES
SABALENKA LEIS raced greenly during the score up. This filly also raced inside a marker peg as the field raced into the home straight on the final occasion.
REELY NAUTI pulled hard and raced greenly during the score up.
MOTH HUNTER was restrained to the rear of the field.
CENTURIAN MISS pulled hard and raced greenly at various stages of this event. This filly gave ground over the concluding stages.
RACE 2 – KFC PACE – 2090 METRES
MY CELEBRITY initially refused to score up and was fractious before the start. This gelding has been placed on its last chance in the mobile start draw.
BE GOOD BENNY pulled hard at various stages.
MIDNIGHT IN MEMPHIS NZ pulled hard at various stages.
FURY DAN shifted out under pressure over the concluding stages.
THE BIG DIG tired over the concluding stages to be beaten in excess of 54 metres. This gelding has been stood down for a period of 14 days and the successful completion of two satisfactory trials.
SOMEHOWSOMEWAY utilised the sprint lane.
KARALTA DAZZLER was held up for clear racing room over the concluding stages.
The start of this event was delayed allowing the sulky to be changed on FURY DAN.
The all clear for this event was delayed when the driver of the third placed horse CHRISTIAN JAZZ NZ (Rohan Hiller) lodged an objection against the second placed horse SOMEHOWSOMEWAY (Dylan Ford) alleging interference shortly after entering the sprint lane. After hearing submissions from both drivers and viewing the patrol films, Stewards dismissed the protest as they were satisfied that driver Dylan Ford had accessed the sprint lane and at no stage was there an opportunity for CHRISTIAN JAZZ NZ to proceed to the inside of SOMEHOWSOMEWAY, consequently all clear was given on the judges’ numbers.
Stewards inquired into the reasons why ONE OFF NZ (Cody Crossland) raced roughly and broke as the field raced away from the 400 metres. After hearing evidence from both drivers and acting on their own observations Stewards were satisfied that MY CELEBRITY (Gareth Rattray) had elected to shift up the track to obtain clear running, at this time Cody Crossland elected to progress between MY CELEBRITY to its outside and CHRISTIAN JAZ NZ to its inside. However, MY CELEBRITY commenced to hang back down the track despite the efforts of its driver at the same time ONE OFF NZ was inclined to hang out and be tightened for room, causing this gelding to break.
RACE 3 – ONE+ONE FINANCIAL SOLUTIONS EVICUS HEAT TWO – 1609 METRES
AREYAWATCHINGTHIS raced roughly after the start, before breaking. This filly has been placed on its last chance to race truly.
JULEPE SANZ hung out during the score up.
IDEN LADY LINCOLN withstood an early challenge for the lead from CHASIN FRANKIE.
IDEN LADY LINCOLN hung in and contacted several marker pegs. A warning has been placed on this filly.
CHASIN FRANKIE was tightened for room approaching the home turn by the JULEPE SANZ and contacted several marker pegs before utilising the sprint lane.
JULEPE SANZ raced roughly and hung in at various stages of this event, consequently a warning has been placed on this filly.
RACE 4 – BAKERS DELIGHT LINDISFARNE DANDY PATCH PRELUDE–2090 METRES
PEANUT SUTTER raced roughly during the early stages of the score up. This gelding tired to be beaten in excess of 53 metres. PEANUT SUTTER has been placed on its last chance to race competitively.
CAMELOT JEDIMASTER raced greenly at various stages. This colt gave ground over the concluding stages to be beaten in excess of 47 metres.
TRIEDTOTELLYA utilised the sprint lane.
HERES HENRY gave ground to be beaten in excess of 43 metres.
The all clear for this event was delayed to allowed driver Mathew Howlett (TRIEDTOTELLYA) to view the official films of the concluding stages of this event.
RACE 5 – CONCEPT LOGISTICS INTERSTATE TRANSPORT PACE–2090 METRES
SON OF RAYSON was fractious before the start.
STEVIE JOLT caught wide early and restrained to the rear of the field.
THEUGLYSISTER restrained to the rear of the field during the early stages of this event and raced roughly for a few strides racing into the back straight on the first occasion.
PLEASE SHUDDUP NZ pulled hard at various stages and was held up for clear racing room in the home straight.
MISSIN ROCK was held up for clear racing room between the 400 and 250 metres.
CAPTAIN COSMONAUT hung in and contacted several marker pegs approaching the home turn.
CHEDDAR VALLEY NZ was a late scratching on vets’ advice. This gelding has been stood down for fourteen days.
Driver Mitch Ford (CAPTAIN COSMONAUT) pleaded guilty to a charge under AHRR163(1)(c)(i) in that he allowed his drive to shift inside of and make contact to several marker pegs as the field raced towards the home turn on the final occasion. Mr Ford was fined the sum of $100.
Driver Luke Hooper (STREETSIDE CLASSIC) pleaded guilty to a charge under AHRR165(2)(b) in that as the field raced towards the first turn he attempted to move his drive closer to the inside running line without being a metre clear of TO THE LOOKOUT (Ryan Backhouse), causing this gelding to be tightened for room and subsequently breaking. Mr Hooper’s driver licence has been suspended for a period of three race dates commencing midnight 20 November until midnight 3 December 2022.
Driver Luke Hooper (STREETSIDE CLASSIC) pleaded guilty to a charge under AHRR156(2)(a) in that he used the whip with more than a wrist only flicking motion. Mr Hooper was fined the sum of $200.
RACE 6 –MORNINGTON INN PACE–2090 METRES
TARLETON RILEY was caught wide early and restrained to the rear of the field.
HENRY HU NZ was caught wide early and restrained to the rear of the field.
WATTABOUT SPANGHER was caught wide early and restrained to the rear of the field.
DEADLY ASSASSIN pulled hard at various stages.
PUNTARNO STRIDE NZ pulled hard at various stages.
COOLHAND EASTON NZ was inclined to over race as the pace slowed approaching the bell.
BELIEVE IN FOREVER pulled hard at various stages of this event. The gelding was held up for clear racing room over the concluding stages.
WHATABOUT SPANGHER was held up for clear racing room shortly after entering the home straight on the final occasion.
Driver Ryan Backhouse (SOUTHSHORE NZ) pleaded guilty to a charge under AHRR162(1)(y) in that he failed to meet the sectional time requirements for the first half of the last mile. Mr Backhouse was fined the sum of $100.
RACE 7 – GREAT NORTHERN & CASCADE BREWERY TASMANIA PACE–2090 METRES
DRAGON BLOOD raced greenly and was held up for clear racing room over the concluding stages.
MAXI JOLT underwent a post-race veterinary examination due to this gelding also racing in Launceston on the 13 November 2022.
Driver Tiarna Ford (REGAL KENZIE) pleaded guilty to a charge under AHRR163(1)(a)(iii) in that as the field raced away from the 400 metres, she allowed REGAL KENZIE to shift down the track and make contact to the front legs of DREAMS ARE BETTOR (Jacob Duggan), causing this mare to raced roughly and break. Ms Ford’s driver licence has been suspended for a period of 2 race dates from midnight the 13th of November 2022 and expiring midnight the 20th of November 2022.
RACE 8 – VOLCANIC CREATIONS CONCRETING PACE–2090 METRES
COOL SCOOTER NZ was fractious before the start.
VAN NIEKERK NZ fractious before the start and hung in rounding the first turn.
BEE SEVENTEEN fractious before the start. The gelding broke shortly after the start and will continue to be placed outside the draw in future standing start events.
BEE SEVENTEEN tired to be beaten in excess of 51 metres. This gelding underwent a post-race veterinary examination that revealed no apparent abnormalities. BEE SEVENTEEN has been placed on its last chance to race competitively.
NERO STRIDE galloped out and has been placed on its last chance in the standing start draw. This gelding also hung out and raced roughly for a few strides on the first turn.
JUNIPER galloped out and has been placed on its last chance in the standing start draw.
JUMPING JOLT was slightly inconvenienced by the tiring BEE SEVENTEEN.
PICKLE IT has been placed back in the standing start draw.
EARL JUJON underwent a post-race veterinary examination which revealed the gelding to have bled from both nostrils. In accordance with AHRR101(3)(a) EARL JUJON has been stood down from racing for a period of three (3) months, a veterinary clearance and must trial to the satisfaction of stewards on one (1) occasion.
RACE 9 – THE CRICKET HUB TASMANIA PACE–2090 METRES
The start of this event was delayed allowing the sulky on SHAUN TO THE MAX to be changed.
LONGNWINDINGROAD was caught wide early and restrained to the rear of the field.
THE SITUATION NZ pulled hard throughout.
REMEMBER ME NOW NZ pulled hard at various stages.
POPNPENNIES contacted a marker peg at the 300 metres.
POPNPENNIES tired, to be beaten in excess of 59 metres. This mare underwent a post-race veterinary examination that revealed no apparent abnormalities. POPNPENNIES has been stood down until the completion of a satisfactory trial.
Driver Mitch Ford (STAR ROCKER) pleaded guilty to a charge under AHRR163(1)(c)(i) in that he allowed his drive to shift inside of and make contact to several marker pegs as the field raced towards the home turn on the final occasion. Mr Ford was fined the sum of $100.
