RACE 1 – CLUB DUBBO GARRARDS TROPHY HEAT 1 – 1720 metres

SAUCEY TOOTH– Commenced to give ground over the final 300 metres to finish in 10th and last position beaten 65.8 metres.

JUNGLE BEAUTY– Post-race swab sample.

WESTERN BILL– Pre-race blood sample.

 

RACE 2 – CLUB DUBBO GARRARDS TROPHY HEAT 2 – 1720 metres

IN CHEVRON WE TRUST NZ– Driver B Hughes could give no reasonable explanation for the perceived poor performance of the gelding where it failed to run on over the concluding stages to finish in 10th and last position beaten 42 metres.

RIVERINA FLASH– Pre-race blood sample.

SCRUFFY MOTO– Forced to cover more ground than necessary prior to the designated push out pole when KERPAT JOY shifted ground. Post-race swab sample.

KERPAT JOY– Driver L Rusten pleaded guilty to a charge under Rule 163(1)(b)(i) where prior to the designated push out pole she has shifted her runner to a three wide position resulting in SCRUFFY MOTO being obliged to cover more ground than necessary. Considering Miss Rusten’s guilty plea and record in relation to this rule, her license to drive in races was suspended for a period of 7 days. This suspension is to commence midnight Saturday 30 November 2024.

 

RACE 3 – CLUB DUBBO GARRARDS TROPHY HEAT 3 – 1720 metres

SIX TIMES A LADY NZ– Pre-race blood sample.

STUDLEIGH STARLITE– Driver J Davis pleaded guilty to a charge under Rule 163(1)(a)(iii) in that when negotiating the first turn has provided insufficient effort to prevent his runner shifting down the track when insufficiently clear of WHATA TERROR resulting in that runner being placed in restricted racing room and contacting STUDLEIGH STARLITE’S sulky and racing rough for a short distance. Considering J Davis’s guilty plea and record in relation to this rule, his license to drive in races was suspended for a period of 7 days. This suspension is to commence midnight Sunday 6th December 2024.

MITTYS THREE ACES NZ– Held up for clear racing room in the run to the finish and was not fully tested.

WHATA TERROR– Negotiating the first turn was tightened for racing room contacting the sulky of STUDLEIGH STARLITE and racing roughly for a short distance when that runner shifted down the track. Driver B Hughes was issued a reprimand under Rule 170(1)(a) when allowing his left foot to lower from the sulky rest in the home straight on the final occasion.

POSH FELLA NZ– Held up for clear racing room in the run to the finish and not fully tested.

 

RACE 4 – CLUB DUBBO GARRARDS TROPHY HEAT 4 – 1720 metres

THE RINGMASTER– Broke stride in the score up. A warning was issued. Negotiating the first turn had a tendency to hang in and become unbalanced and broke stride. A warning was issued.

FROZEN JEWEL– Pre-race blood sample.

TULHURST ELVIS– Negotiating the first turn was inconvenienced when trailing THE RINGMASTER who had broken stride. Post-race swab sample.

LEXYS ON SONG –Became unbalanced and broke stride at the 200 metres. A warning was issued.

 

RACE 5 – 2DU PACE – 2120 metres

ALWAYSBMYPONY– Negotiating the first turn was tightened for racing room when ROMERO broke stride and shifted in.

DUN SPRUIKIN– Held up for clear racing room in the run to the finish and was not fully tested.

ROMERO– Broke stride negotiating the first turn. No action was taken due to the positioning and the speed the of the mobile on the track when negotiating the turn due to the rain effected track. Held up for clear racing room until the final 150 metres.

ROCKET BOY– Inconvenienced negotiating the first turn when trailing ROMERO who had broken stride.

TAMANISHA TERROR– Inconvenienced when negotiating the first turn when shifting down the track to avoid ROMERO

TERRYRAMA– Checked and broke at the 1900 metres.

ALTA DOWNS- Checked and broke at the 1900 metres when tightened for racing room as a result of ROMERO taking ALWAYSBMYPONY down the track.

CABAGANOOSH– Pre-race blood sample. Inconvenienced at the 1900 metres when shifting down the track to avoid TERRYRAMA who had been checked and broke.

CAMANCHI WARRIOR– Inconvenienced when having to shift wider to avoid ALTA DOWNS who had been checked and broke. Trainer N Turnbull was queried on the seemingly improved performance of the horse. He stated the horse had been considerably down in grade on recent starts and with a further concession claim the horse was well into the race and performed as expected. Post-race swab sample.

 

RACE 6 – THE TAB APP WARATAH HEAT – 1720 metres

SPECIAL SPIN– Broke stride in the early stages of the score up and as a result was out of position at the start. A warning was issued. Inconvenienced at the 600 metres when REBOUNDER shifted wider.

REBOUNDER– Driver J O’Shea was issued a reprimand under Rule 163(1)(b)(i) in that approaching the 600 metres he has shifted his runner wider and as a result SPECIAL SPIN was obliged to cover more ground than necessary. In not taking further action Stewards took into consideration the racing manners of SPECIAL SPIN and also the point of the race where REBOUNDER had shifted wider. Post-race swab sample.

RACE 7 – DUBBO PET & STOCKFEEDS 2YO PACE – 1720 metres

HAVEUCHECKEDHIMOUT– Post-race swab sample.

SEVEN TEE TWO– Raced roughly for a short distance at the 300 metres.

LUCKY LENNY– Pre-race blood sample.

 

RACE 8 – WESTERN PLAINS GRANITE PACE – 1720 metres

KATLAS DREAM– Pre-race blood sample.

ART OF TERROR– Post-race swab sample.

BARRY LIMBO– Negotiating the first turn became unbalanced and broke stride. Furthermore, the gelding broke stride at the 200 metres. BARRY LIMBO will be required to requalify on one occasion.

 

RACE 9 – GALLAGHER PACE – 1720 metres

MISS BLUE STORK– Galloped out as start was affected. A warning was issued.

WALLINGA WALLY– Inconvenienced at the 1200 metres when obliged to race three wide when HILARIOUS GEE shifted from the marker line.

ULTIMATE EQUUS– Pre-race blood sample.

LET SPARKS FLY– Inconvenienced at the 1200 metres when HILARIOUS GEE shifted wider. The gelding was then obliged to work forward three wide to obtain the position outside the lead at the 800 metres.

ROCKIN SWEET– Checked after the start when trailing MISS BLUE STORK.

HILARIOUS GEE– Driver L Burns was questioned on the reason he shifted his runner from the marker line to the running line at the 1200 metres. He stated the gelding was over racing and he had difficulty controlling the gelding and for safety reasons he shifted the runner of the marker line to obtain clear running. As a result of his shift LET SPARKS FLY and WALLINGA WALLY were inconvenienced when having to race wide at that stage. HILARIOUS GEE will be stood down and be required to requalify as a result of its racing manners.
