RACE 1 – THE TAB APP PACE – 2120 metres

INVINCIANO– Broke stride for a short distance in the early stages of the score up.  A warning was issued.

MIOAN– Pre-race blood sample was taken.  Became unbalanced before breaking stride entering the first turn.  After considering submissions from driver J Turnbull Stewards stood the gelding down for one requalifying trial.  A post-race veterinary examination failed to reveal any abnormalities.

EAGLE ART– Checked entering the first turn when MIOAN had broken stride.

HOLY CAMP PAXTON– Sustained a flat off side sulky tyre in the latter stages of the score up when it was contacted by KALYPSO SAM.  Subsequently HOLY CAMP PAXTON was retired from the event.  A post-race veterinary examination failed to reveal any abnormalities.

METAKI MAJIC– Trainer J Hetherington was fined the sum of $50 under AHRR 210 for the late notification of the driver.  Had a tendency to over race during the early stages of the event.

BROOKLYN BANDIT– Became unbalanced before breaking stride in the latter stages of the score up and was out of position.  Due to the speed of the mobile no further action was taken.  Post-race swab sample was taken.

KALYPSO SAM– Contacted the off side sulky wheel of HOLY CAMP PAXTON in the latter stages of the score up.  Due to the speed of the mobile no further action was taken.

 

RACE 2 – GARRARD’S WINTER SERIES FINAL 26/8 LADYSHIP PACE – 2120 metres

BEAUTIFULVENGEANCE– Momentarily tightened for racing room leaving the 2000 metres when FAIRE LA FETE hung in.

FAIRE LA FETE– Hung in leaving the 2000 metres momentarily tightening the racing room of BEAUTIFULVENGEANCE who was racing to its inside.

LA TOISON DOR– Pre-race blood sample was taken. 

BABY BEE MINE– Held up for clear running in the home straight on the final occasion and was not fully tested.

FEELING HALL GOOD– Post-race swab sample was taken.

 

RACE 3 – SKY RACING ACTIVE PACE – 1720 metres

A KERRY MAN– Checked and broke approaching the 400 metres when LEXIE GIRL hung in.

MISS ARTISTIC– Caught racing three wide in the early stages of the event.  Raced wide.

NITRO LAD– A pre and post-race veterinary examination was conducted due to the gelding having had over 200 lifetime starts.  No abnormalities were reported on either examination.

LEXIE GIRL– Raced three wide for the final 900 metres with cover.  Approaching the 400 metres hung in when racing on level terms with MISS ARTISTIC resulting in that runner being shifted down the track momentarily tightening the racing room of A KERRY MAN resulting in that runner being checked and broke.  A warning was issued.

JESSEJAMES SHANNON– Pre-race blood sample was taken.  Post-race swab sample was taken.

 

RACE 4 – RAY TOBIN SIGNS PACE – 2120 metres

SAMMI DANCE– A pre and post-race veterinary examination was conducted due to the mare not having had a race start for 12 months.  No abnormalities were reported on either examination.  Surrendered the lead in the early stages of the event passing the 1700 metres.

RIPPONLEA– Caught racing three wide in the early stages of the event before working forward to the lead passing the 1700 metres.

MAMMALS PRINCE– Despite the efforts of driver J Sutton was out of position when the start was affected.  A warning was issued.

OH ONE JOB– Caught racing three wide in the early stages of the event before being restrained to the tail of the field passing the 1400 metres.  Tired over the final 600 metres be beaten a considerable distance.  Driver K Grant stated that the mare had to do some work early to try and find the position outside the leader.  When the position outside the leader was unavailable she restrained the mare to the tail of the field.  Miss Grant further stated that the mare is best suited to being driven on the speed and that she was slightly disappointed in the performance of OH ONE JOB in tonight’s event.  Given the overall performance of OH ONE JOB in tonight's event the mare was stood down for one requalifying trial.

DRIVE TO THE BEACH– Raced three wide for the final 900 metres without cover.

KARLOO BRADLEY NZ– Raced three wide for the final 850 metres with cover.  Post-race swab sample was taken.

CAMBO BLASTER– Pre-race blood sample was taken.  Raced three wide for the final 850 metres with cover.

 

RACE 5 – KTC BLOODSTOCK PACE – 1720 metres

CAESARES ROCKSTAR– Pre-race blood sample was taken. 

FRONTIER– Post-race swab sample was taken.

 

RACE 6 – LOCHEND STUD PACE – 1720 metres

RUNPOPRUN– Surrendered the lead in the early stages of the event passing the 1400 metres. 

PUNTO CALIENTE– Worked forward to the lead passing the 1400 metres.  Post-race swab sample was taken.

CARIBBEAN PAT– Checked leaving the 300 metres when trailing JOGALONG BLUE when that runner had commenced to give ground.

JOGALONG BLUE– Caught racing three wide in the early stages of the event before obtaining the position outside the leader passing the 1000 metres. 

DYNAMITE DEE– Pre-race blood sample was taken.

 

RACE 7 – TRUMP BLOODSTOCK MAIDEN PACE – 1720 metres

AUDREY CATHERINE– Pre-race blood sample was taken.  Stewards queried the driving tactics of driver J Sutton over the final 50 metres where it appeared that he may have lacked some vigour in driving his runner to the line.  Mr Sutton stated that at that point his runner had run its race and was doing its best to the line as well as no longer responding to his driving.  Stewards reminded Mr Sutton of his obligation to drive his runner out fully to the line.

UNDERCOVER BUNNY– Post-race swab sample was taken.

RARIFIED MAN– Out of position when the start was affected.  Driver M Day Jnr was fined the sum of $50 under AHRR 162(1)(h) for failing to come into position at the start.

 

 

RACE 8 – LLOWALONG FARMS – NORTHERN RIVERS EQUINE MAIDEN PACE – 1720 metres

ROCKEN IN A STORM– Post-race swab sample was taken.

APACHE WARRIOR NZ– Broke stride shortly after the start was affected.  A warning was issued.

ONYA SONYA– Severely checked approaching the 1500 metres when APACHE WARRIOR NZ  had broken stride. Tired over the final 400 metres to be beaten some distance. A warning was issued.

ALWAYS AURORA– Pre-race blood sample was taken.  Broke stride shortly after the start was affected. ALWAYS AURORA will continue to be placed outside the mobile barrier draw in future starts.

FIGHT FOR FALBY- Became unbalanced before breaking stride in the early stages of the score up and was out of position at the start.  FIGHT FOR FALBY will continue to be placed outside the mobile barrier draw in future starts.
