RACE 1 – 2DU PACE – 1720 metres

BEE SEVENTEEN– Held up in the early stages of the home straight before obtaining a run to the inside of WOTNOW SWANEE approaching the 120 metres.

WOTNOW SWANEE– Shifted out under pressure in the home straight.

MAMMALS ALIBI– Pre-race blood test. 

THE MISSING SOCK NZ– Caught wide early before working forward to the position outside the leader passing the 1400 metres. 

TENEACHWAY– Out of position at the start. No action was taken due the speed of the mobile.

RAINBOW TITAN– Held up for clear running in the home straight and was not fully tested.

SERENE PRINCESS– Post-race swab.

 

RACE 2 – ORANA WOOL & SCRAP METAL PACE – 1720 metres

KARALTA COURAGE– Worked forward to the lead passing the 1500 metres.

RUBY BABY NZ– Post-race swab.

BOLD COWBOY– Driver Nathan Townsend was questioned in regards to the overall performance of the gelding, after beginning well was caught wide early before working forward to a position outside the leader passing the 1500 metres before commencing to give ground over the concluding 500 metres to be beaten 39.4 metres.  Mr Townsend explained his intention was to drive the gelding with cover however was left in a position outside the leader and considering the fast mile rate of 1:56.3 felt that contributed to the disappointing performance of BOLD COWBOY.  A post-race veterinary examination revealed no obvious abnormalities.

JOES REDEMPTION– Inconvenienced passing the 400 metres as a result of BOLD COWBOY giving ground.

CAMSTAR ROAD– Pre-race blood test.

 

RACE 3 – JLE PACE – 1720 metres

CLASSICMAJOR– Post-race swab.

TABRA– Held up for clear running in the home straight and was not fully tested.

EUREKA NZ– Caught wide early before working forward to a position outside of the leader passing the 1400 metres.  Approaching the 600 metres was checked and forced wide as a result of JAYJAYTESS racing ungenerously and shifting away from the marker pegs. 

TULHURST ELVIS– Held up in the latter stages of the home straight.

POTTER– Held up in the early stages of the home straight.

BETTING RANGER– Pre-race blood test.

JAYJAYTESS– Had a tendency to over race throughout the event.  Passing the 700 metres the mare began to race ungenerously before becoming uncontrollable and shifting away from the marker pegs forcing EUREKA NZ wider on the track.  In view of the overall racing manners of JAYJAYTESS the mare will now be required to perform one requalifying trial.

BART MAGUIRE NZ– A pre and post-race veterinary examination was conducted due to the horse not having competed in excess of 12 months.  Both examinations failed to reveal any obvious abnormalities.

LARA TIARA– Held up in the early stages of the home straight.

 

RACE 4 – LOYALTY SERIES HEATS AT PARKES ON 16 AUGUST PACE – 1720 metres

LUCKY ZARA– Post-race swab.

IAMNOPET– Fractious in the score up for which a warning was issued.

ARE YOU WITH ME– Caught wide early before working forward to a position outside the leader approaching the 1400 metres.

HIGH QUEST– Pre-race blood test.  Held up for clear running in the home straight and was not fully tested. 

COUNT MONTECARLO– A false start was declared due to driver Tom Pay raising his hand indicating a gear issue.  Upon review of the films Mr Pay had raised his hand prior to the mobile commencing the score up and as a result no further action was taken.  Held up for clear running in the early stages of the home straight.  Post-race it was reported the bridle of COUNT MONTECARLO had broken, upon inspection the gear was found to be of good quality.

 

RACE 5 – LOYALTY SERIES HEATS AT DUBBO ON 23 AUGUST NSWSOA PACE – 2120 metres

NIRVANA PRINCE– Post-race swab.

LEXYS ON SONG– Pre-race blood test.  Inconvenienced passing the 1200 metres as a result of KELLOSHIEL breaking gait.

MIDNIGHT TERROR– Hung in rounding the final turn contacting marker pegs.

KELLOSHIEL– Raced greenly throughout the event.  Broke twice firstly passing the 1200 metres and again passing the 350 metres as a result the mare will now be required to perform one requalifying trial.  A post-race veterinary examination revealed no obvious abnormalities.

NIGELLA BLING– Commenced to improve three wide from the 1800 metres before finding a position outside the leader passing the 1600 metres.  Driver Olivia Frisby was fined $200 under rule 156(2)(a) for applying the whip in more than a wrist only flicking motion over the concluding stages.

 

RACE 6 – LOYALTY SERIES FINAL AT DUBBO ON 30 AUGUST PACE – 1720 metres

WHATABOUTBRONSON– Post-race swab.

BATED BREATH– Held up for clear running in the home straight and was not fully tested.

PREACHER QUINCE– Slow to begin from the mobile barrier.

DOUBLE MACH– Pre-race blood test.  Worked forward to the lead passing the 1300 metres.  Driver Nathan Townsend was cautioned in the manner which he used the whip rounding the final turn.

ENEMY LINES– Trainer/driver Tom Ison was questioned into the overall performance of the gelding, after being caught wide early and working forward to a position outside the leader passing the 1300 metres the gelding commenced to tire to be beaten 36.1 metres.  Mr Ison indicated that the racing future of ENEMY LINES would be reviewed with his stable.

TRIOLI– Had a tendency to over race throughout the event.

HARLEY JAMES– A pre and post-race veterinary examination was conducted due to the horse having competed in excess of 200 race starts.  Both examinations failed to reveal any obvious abnormalities.  Held up for clear running in the home straight and was not fully tested.

 

RACE 7 – GALLAGHER LITTLE RED JUG FINAL 30 AUGUST PACE – 2120 metres

AVENTINE HILL– Checked and broke passing the 1700 metres as a result of BARBARADAWNSHANNON breaking gait.

BARBARADAWNSHANNON– Broke gait twice firstly passing the 1700 metres and again passing the 600 metres.  In view of the mare’s racing manners BARBARADAWNSHANNON will now be required to perform one requalifying trial.  A post-race veterinary examination revealed no obvious abnormalities.

JIGGLE ART– Worked forward to the lead passing the 1900 metres.

CALA JEWEL– Worked forward to the lead passing the 1600 metres.

GLITTER AINT GOLD– Pre-race blood test.  Worked forward to the lead passing the 1500 metres.  It was reported post-race passing the 400 metres the off side sulky tyre became flat.  Post-race swab.

LILYS REASON– Checked and broke passing the 1700 metres as a result of BARBARADAWNSHANNON breaking gait and took no further competitive part in the event.

 

RACE 8 – THE TAB APP PACE – 2120 metres

MOHAWK PARK– Post-race swab.

RUNLOCKYRUN– Passing the 1100 metres hung out and locked wheels momentarily with YARRAMAN KAYLOU.  Approaching the 900 metres became unbalanced and raced roughly checking OUR GLADIATOR and MISS PENDLE HILL who was racing behind the gelding.  In view of the gelding’s racing manners RUNLOCKYRUN was issued its last chance to race truly.

YARRAMAN KAYLOU– Pre-race blood test.  Approaching the 1100 metres locked wheels with RUNLOCKYRUN when that runner hung out.

MAJOR ARK– Approaching the 1800 metres became unbalanced and broke gait.  In view of the filly’s recent record MAJOR ARK will now need to perform one requalifying trial. 

SHEZ A PUNTER– Inconvenienced in the home straight as a result of ROCKNROLL RAMBO shifting wider on the track.

OUR GLADIATOR– Checked passing the 900 metres when RUNLOCKYRUN raced roughly.  Inconvenienced in the home straight as a result of ROCKNROLL RAMBO shifting wider on the track.

MISS PENDLE HILL– Checked passing the 900 metres as a result of RUNLOCKYRUN racing roughly.  Inconvenienced in the home straight as a result of ROCKNROLL RAMBO shifting wider on the track.

ROCKNROLL RAMBO– Driver Nathan Townsend was issued a reprimand under rule 163(1)(a)(iii) for causing interference in that in the home straight he has shifted the gelding wider when not clear of SHEZ A PUNTER causing that runner to be shifted wider into the running of OUR GLADIATOR which in turn was shifted wider into the running of MISS PENDLE HILL.  All runners to the outside of ROCKNROLL RAMBO subsequently were inconvenienced.
