Trainers with multiple runners in any one race were questioned in relation to their intended tactics.
RACE 1 – COLLIE FOSSILS FOOTBALL CLUB 2YO WESTBRED PACE (2050MS)
ATHREESHOTEAGLE (M Miller) – Broke gait racing out of the front straight on the second occasion. Will be stood down from racing for a period of 13 days and until such time as the completion of 2 satisfactory re-qualifying trials.
ALLIZEE (L Steer) – Inconvenienced racing out of the front straight on second occasion behind a galloping runner.
TAYLORS BOY FRED (C Peterson) – Checked and raced roughly racing out of the front straight on second occasion behind a galloping runner.
RACE 2 – BLUE & GREG PACE (2050MS)
FLAMING CULLEN (L Steer) – Hung inwards in the score up and raced roughly after the start. A warning was placed against the gelding.
RACE 3 – JODIE HANNS MLA PACE (2050MS)
General – Driver S Suvaljko (JORDANO) was cautioned in the manner in which he shifted another runner in the back straight on the final occasion and was reminded to give other runners more time to react and advised to exercise more care when shifting outwards in similar circumstances.
RACE 4 – 101.3FM COLLIE COMMUNITY RADIO - THE VOICE OF OUR TOWN PACE (
SUGAR BOO (H Charles) – The breastplate became detached during running and placed the mare at a disadvantage.
RACE 5 – JOE & MARGARET SUVALJKO MEMORIAL PACE (2050MS)
KEAYANG YUKON (G Scott) – Galloped out as the start was effected. Trainer G Scott was advised the gelding will be placed outside the draw in future mobile barrier events. Failed to take any competitive part thereafter.
RACE 6 – TABTOUCH RACINGWA WESTBRED FEATURE PACE (2020SS)
General: At the first attempt to start the event VEEFORVICTORY (E Suvaljko) reared and fell. A subsequent veterinary examination revealed the gelding unsuitable to race. Acting on this advice Stewards declared VEEFORVICTORY a late scratching at 4.23pm. The gelding will be stood down for 7 days prior to a future trial or race start.
RACE 7 – COLLIE BIN HIRE TOWN 3YO WESTBRED PACE (2050MS)
No racing incidents to report.
