The all clear was delayed to allow driver Ashley Manton (BULLDOG KHAN), which finished second, an opportunity to view all available footage of the concluding stages. After viewing the replays, driver Ashley Manton lodged a protest against the winner, EMILY VINCENT, driven by James Herbertson. After hearing evidence from both drivers and reviewing all available footage, Stewards could not be comfortably satisfied that any interference which may have occurred over the final 200 metres had affected the result, and accordingly the protest was dismissed. The all clear was then given on the Judge’s placings.

In determining penalty, Stewards took into account that this was Mr Manton’s second offence within a 28-day period.

BLANCO CANYON – Raced three wide without cover the entire race. Commenced to tire leaving the 500m mark and was beaten 50.9m. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no apparent abnormalities. Stewards questioned driver Allan Lousada regarding the driving tactics adopted throughout the race. In particular, Stewards were concerned that after racing three wide without cover for the entirety of the race, Mr Lousada failed to restrain his drive when it was not realistically possible to obtain a forward position, which in the opinion of the Stewards was unacceptable. Mr Lousada pleaded guilty to a charge under AHRR 149(2), which states that a person shall not drive in a manner which, in the opinion of the Stewards, is unacceptable. Mr Lousada’s licence to drive in races was suspended for a period of three (3) weeks, commencing at midnight on 16 November 2025. In determining penalty, Stewards took into account Mr Lousada’s guilty plea, record under this rule and his overall record as a licensed participant.
LET IT BE ME – Hung in when placed under pressure entering the home straight, then again hung in approaching the 150 metre mark. A warning was placed against the gelding’s racing manners.
THAT’S MY CARDIGAN – Broke gait free of interference after the start. As this occurred in the second attempt following the false start, the gelding was placed on its last chance in the mobile barrier draw. Broke gait free of interference approaching the 1400 metre mark and again approaching the 250 metre mark. A warning was placed against the gelding’s racing manners.
